(1) Is Coach Rock's whipping boy now? I thought that position was reserved for Cole. Hilarious promo BTW. Jonathan Coachman = Carlton Banks 2002.
(2) Did you notice how he mentioned how he jobbed at WM17? AND WM16 AND WM15? Now he's saying that this will be different and be "THE ROCK'S WRESTLEMANIA". I may be overanalyzing but I thought that was pretty interesting.
What' even more interesting is they seem to be building a Rock/UT feud....if that goes to WM and there is a UT/Rock match at WM....well Rock will be jobbing at WM 18 aswell! as UT goes 10-0 in Wrestlemanias!
And who says it's Austin/HHH....It will be Jericho/HHH, and maybe Rock/Austin. With Rock finally winning a WM match (of course he DID win his first two)
Were I a cynic, I'd say that Austin beats Angle on RAW, and then beats Jericho at NWO.
Austin goes on to WrestleMania as the first-ever 7-time WWF Champion, and faces Triple H.
Ideally? I hope that Austin beats Angle on RAW, and then Jericho beats Austin at NWO-- somewhat cleanly, to build him up as someone who can beat Triple H at WrestleMania. Jericho then goes in to WrestleMania and actually does it-- he beats Triple H.
“Do I think that's gonna happen?”
“No.”
Although it'll be interesting to see whether or not the WWF still finds a way to get The Rock in the WM main-event.

But does Rock really need a Wrestlemania win?? He's done more high-profile jobs than anyone, yet he remains one of the biggest guys.
This goes along the same lines as people who say The Rock is over enough and therefore shouldn't hold the WWF Title. He still needs these things (Title wins, WM victories) because if he really is as beloved as people say, then fans will just pay more money to see him in these roles than they would someone else. Besides, if YOU were Vince McMahon, would you tell him this:
V.M.: "Rock, you've become to big a star, so instead of facing Austin at WM to win the title, you're going return the job Billy Gunn did for you at Summerslam 1999. Hey you're over already anyway, right? RIGHT?"
"A lot of guys on this team have a lot of bark, but no bite. Guys have to just shut up and play." -- WR Keyshawn Johnson, following the playoff loss to Philadelphia
I think WM18 will be headlined by Rock-HHH. That is just my gut feeling. I think Rock will finally get his win against Jericho at No Way Out. I don't know where they are going with this UT thing, unless he is a member of the NWO and just starting the attack on the WWF early.
Speaking of the NWO, didn't that hand painted logo look CRAPPY!? Come on Vince, you could spring for a sticker to be made? Also, I hated the fact he spoke right into the camera. I thought it would be something like, he stands up, walks away, revaling he was talking in a mirror the whole time. Then the camera looks at the chair, showing the NWO logo. It is a small thing, but it is the small things that matter.
January 4th 1999 - The day WCW injected itself with 10 gallons of Liquid Anthrax...AKA...The day Hogan "Defeated" Nash to win the WCW title in front of 40,000.
You have a point, but there are guys that need titles and high profile wins much more than Rock does. He's great in a money feud and the fans will pay to see him, but the man does not need a belt. Everytime he throws his arms up and poses for the marks, they just imagine him with one, anyway.
I've always been impressed with the fact that he does the high profile jobs and is willing to put people over. I don't think he should be stuck in a mid-card match with Billy Gunn at WM, but the idea that he "needs" some sort of WM main event win is ludicrous.

In an ideal world, it would be Rock/Austin at WM to even the score or at least come one match of evening the score. This match is a huge draw and both men work awesome together. Unfortuantly, I see this scenerio working out at WM:
The Outsiders return tomorrow, Austin wins and Goldust/Rock is set up at No Way. The Outsiders do run ins and no one really opposes them till No Way Out when they beat Tazz and Spike with help from X-Poc. Austin loses to Jericho thanks to interferance, Rock beats Goldust and HHH/Angle still fued over Steph and his number 1 spot. Shawn Michaels and Hogan return joining up with the NWO prior to WM. While the WWF is getting their heads kicked in, Austin/Rock fued over their fued and ignore it. HHH/Jericho walk into WM with Shawn as guest refree. And before an all Canadian audience, HHH turns heel and beats Jericho while Benoit comes in at the end to stop the NWO beatdown to make the funs happy. For the next six months, the WWF does Invasion all over again until SummerSlam or Survivor Series, then the NWO dies. Forever, I hope.
A Fan- This scenerio only works out if the incoming NWO doesn't destroy the entire lockerroom.
1) I can NOT believe the Rock didn't sing "Copacabana" while the Coach was doing his shuffle. Where's the freaking continuity? (Kidding! Kidding...sort of)
2) Rock's probably going to be involved in the next 5 or 6 WMs, if he stays healthy and in wrestling. He'll get his big time win. I just don't think it'll be at #18. Whether or not he'll be in the main event at WM18, well, wait until after No Way Out and I'll tell you.
3) Speaking of No Way Out, why does the logo look so much like Breakdown?
...Some fear the Pink... ...But many fear....THE MOUNTIE! (He's handsome, he's brave, and he's strong, you know)
that sounds like a decent run for the nWo but i dont see shawn coming back to wrestle without having a crack at the title one more time...hmmmmmm we'll see....
I AM THE BEST there is, was and ever will be!!!! Dont you wish that you were me??? no?.... i've got two words for ya!
Same reaction here.... saw it and i was thinking what else could happen to Bret and his family. Then it was him this time. Shame everything that his family has been through.
