According to 411wrestling.com, Vince is calling for a major talent meeting before Raw and is pointing the finger at the talent for the poor ratings, house shows and the such. Unfortuantly, some WWE won't take this laying down, as one wrestler said "Its an All-Star locker room, its the creative team's fault."

Any idea who the North and South is in this little scenerio or if anyone is going to walk out Monday Night?

If everybody already knows exactly what McMahon is going to say before the meeting, why are they bothering to have the meeting?

Actually, I was thinking it would be funny if Jeff Hardy skipped the meeting and, when they asked him why, said that he'd already read about it on the Internet, so he didn't see any reason to attend. If he, or anyone else, actually did that, I'd feel obligated to start a new federation and crown the champion after they got fired.

This meeting will be fine, as long as he doesn't hand the "speaking baton" to Triple H who then says something about f*cking work ethic and how they need to shape up. "And one day, yes, even you can be that damn good. Everyone except you Spike...And you Bubba...And RVD, Booker, and Lance."

If Vince blames *all* the talent for the unholy mess that is WWE programming, it would be a true travesty. These "Soap Opera Storylines" - MURDERER Kane, two-timing Taker, horny old Mr. Wilson (who's not even a WWE Entertainer) - are shit, Vince, and you can't shine shit. Most of the talent is busting their collective asses trying to, but they can't make this lame crap work. What's worse, I can see HHH standing next to Vince while he's maligning the talent, nodding his head and stroking Vince's...ego. Go find yourself some real writers, stop bending over for HHH and Taker, and put on a real show, Vince - don't keep dumping this second-rate trash on the fans.

If it's true that Vince is planning to blame the talent for WWE's toilet flush, then I honestly hope everybody in that locker room decides to follow Steve Austin's lead and walk out.

The man just doesn't get it. His fans are turning on him! His own freakin' talent is starting to turn on him! What the hell is it going to take?! And what the hell is he thinking?! He's got Angle, Benoit, the Guerreros, RVD, Chris Jericho, Brock Lesnar, Kane, Booker T...SHIT, he's got the best talent in the WORLD and he's going to blame THEM instead of his shitty creative staff or his daughter, who's quickly losing touch with her audience?

I still stand by Austin's decision to walk and it's because of reasons like this.

Well...

This will be interesting. Point the finger of blame at the guys who've been busting their asses week in and week out, instead of pointing the finger at yourself. Vince... bring back good angles. Bring back compelling feuds. And end the long rule of Triple H and The Undertaker, who will do anything to make themselves look good. They're not in it for the good of the company, they're in it for the money. They're dragging you down. Tell 'em what to go do with themselves. Give the fans the compelling matchups they deserve to see. Let's make RAW about something other than Triple H, and SmackDown about something other than The Undertaker.

I hope he doesn't pull an Eric Bischoff and say “Anyone who doesn't want to be here, leave.” I have a horrifying suspicion that someone just might, and I hope it isn't anyone I'm entertained by.

But then again... where the hell would they go? That's why I hate this damned near-monopoly Vince has on the wrestling business. At least back in the day, if Vince screwed you, you could go to WCW or ECW. No more. NWA-TNA won't ever achieve that level of success, I think.

Does anybody actually believe that Vince instructed someone (let alone someone untrustworthy enough to leak it to the Internet) to instruct all the wrestlers to meet before Raw so he can blame them for the ratings? Do you realize just how idiotic that sounds? The answer, of course, is just idiotic enough for wrestling "news" sites to report it.

A Fan, although you cited 411wrestling's report accurately, they seem to have "interpreted" the pwtorch article, which 411 cites as its source.

    The text from pwtorch.com
The rumor going around the Raw locker room is that Vince McMahon is planning to meet with the wrestlers before Monday's show in Montreal. The wrestlers are under the impression that Vince is going to blame them for the company's recent struggles. A number of wrestlers are heading into the meeting (assuming it actually takes place) with chips on their shoulders because they feel the writers (including McMahon) should be taking the bulk of the blame. "This is an all-star crew," one wrestler said of the entire WWE roster. "He has the best roster of workers that he's ever had in the history of the company."

So first, its a rumor about the impression that the guys have about a rumour. Second, it clearly is Raw cast only. (Even if the article didn't say so, Smackdown cast has a house show in a different province that same night.) Third, "Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean Vince isn't out to get me."

Hey, I've heard rumors there going to bring back Monday Nitro...I have a better solution...The TRIPLE AAAA-CCCHH
show!

All Hunter promos, then Hunter interviews, then Hunter squash matches, then Hunter run-ins, then Hunter backstage segments, then Hunter in a video clip, and then call it 'Monday Night Game.'

Seriously though...

The problem is making every Raw in some shape, form, or matter relate to Triple H.

Makes me sick.

My aplogizes emma, I didn't see the torch cited as the primary source, fell free to take a few points off my test score.

Anyway, I have to say if they do walk out, it would both be an up and down for me. It would prove Austin right, about the creative team not betting his wife which is still horrible, but I feel gets tangled up on the Net. It would be a down for me, because of Rock's speech. I don't like saying Rock is a company man since it seems he does everthing in his power to get over people over ie the huge amounts of jobbing his done and his matches in the last few years have been really good for getting Brock, Benoit, Angle and Jericho over as major threats to the title. And don't say those four weren't prior to there matches with Rock, because in the eyes of the cascual fans, because they weren't.

I thought Rock's speech was the emotional speech I have heard all year and to think he came back to save the company just to have Vince tear the Raw team or any of the WWE shows a new asshole, because of the creative team. Then I say Rock should just do movies and live the good life. He earned, hell I have been entertained in the last few weeks by both shows, the problem is once it gets entertaining there is a need by the creative team or two certain wreslters to shot themselves in the foot. Taker refusing to job at Unforgiven, HHH coming out to call Kane a murder after the best Raw main event all year or the silly idea to split the titles in the first or turing Flair heel for no reason or jobbing Jericho as soon as he gets a big one or destroying the hardcore division when it has a crediable champion or unifying every belt in the world or HLA or not creating good tag teams on Smackdown or Raw or the stupid idea to split the belts which leads to major problems with the Road to Wrestlemania, the main storyline of the year.

Nobody is walking out, but if any of them have the balls to get on Vince's ass about creative, more power to them. It just means a year of burial. Is it worth one year of jobbing to every Heat scrubbie?
And, if the meeting is truly about this, Vince should lump his daughter's "serious when her mother is in the room" boyfriend in with the whole lot. You can't say this one guy is holding the show becuase, I don't know about the rest of you, but I change the channel when HHH comes out to cut his latest crowd killing promo.

Look HHH is the World Champion, he is the only truly over guy on the Raw roster, he is their most consistent performer both in promos and in the ring, and the only remaining superstar on Raw, hell in the whole company now that Rock and Austin are gone. Considering the talent on Raw what choice do they have to put HHH front and center of every single storyline they have? He has been the only positive thing on Raw for the casual fan, as once again the net smarks who think they know everything go ga-ga over RVD or Booker T or someone else who no one but 2% of the fanbase gives a crap about. If it weren't for the Kane-HHH feud and the way-cool idea of saying Kane is a murderer, there'd be no reason at all to watch Raw anymore.

*wakes up* Oh wow....I just had this dream where I was a HHH apologist fan-boy (or Stephanie and Vince). Boy was that awful. Gotta stop eating cheese in a can before bed.

Ten dollars says come Monday night/Tuesday morning, there will be NO MENTION of this supposed "Finger Pointing Meeting" that's supposed to happen at RAW on the internet ANYWHERE.

Meanwhile, I still fail to see the "civil war" in all this. According to the net report, Vince is gonna have a meeting with everybody at RAW where he will blame everything on the wrestlers, but most of the wrestlers think's it's the writing team's fault. Did I get it right? Where's the "civil war" in that?

Second of all, where does a "walk-out" fit into all this? So let's say Vince shows up and blames the wrong people. So what? It's not like no one's ever been blamed for something that's not their fault at their job before. Big deal. Hardly a reason to walk-out over.

The Civil War is going to restart? Don't tell me those Yankees didn't learn their lesson the first time they faced the Undefeated Southern Army. At least that's what Granny Clampett taught me, and if a burnt out historian cannot use Granny Clampett as a valid historical source of the civil war, who can one use?

Civil War is just a thread title dude, don't get worked up about it. I do wonder though with the recent heat the UnAmericans have had about their hair and the such if there isn't some feeling that certain wrestlers aren't more favored than others ability be damned?

I do think the creative team needs a kick in the butt, so unless Vince goes down there and just hashes things out with both talent and creative about the problems then I can see some positives coming out of it. I will disagree the talent is not the problem. You have Booker T, Kane, RVD and Jericho plus HHH. Smackdown as the same six guys in almost every main event ie Rey, Edge, Brock, Benoit, Angle, Eddie and Taker. Smackdown is somehow the better show, I think its because they are allowed to do more than the Raw talent which has to put up with one too many Eric or HHH segments.

Granted every show needs a star or two to go and I can see why the WWE went with HHH, but if you don't have some on the same level the show gets meaningless afterwhile even during the Austin/McMahon thing, you still had Mick, Kane and Taker has main eventers who got a few wins in, so far HHH has not done that. And it doesn't look to be happening soon. The good thing about Smackdown is that the rotating six are on the same level, net fans would disagree cause patron saint Benoit is in there, as each other. So, the show follows better, because you don't get too much of one or two guys which I think is the problem with the Taker/Brock thing is that the fans are sick of it and it should have ended at Unforgiven. Raw doesn't have that right now and should start pushing guys to that level, but if HHH is going to come out and kill pushes like he did Monday and at Unforgiven then you might as well call it the HHH show and be done with it. Its a shame cause Austin and Rock were a hell of a lot more entertaining and could at least wrestler a three star match.

A Fan- The South sucked, they had one good general and the rest were saps. If Lee had done the right thing and joined Lincoln the thing would have been over in six months instead you decided to go with his "home" and not his heart, so we can thank four years of bloodshed for that. What? This isn't the American History board. Shit!

Accord to the KKK for Kids website, the civil war was fought because the South was mad that the North refused to stop bringing black people to America. Coincidentally enough, the American Revolution was fought because the colonists were mad at Great Britain for the exact same reason.

Not that this has any relevancy what-so-ever but between the civil war thread and the other thread on racism, I was reminded of this site. As racist as it is, I couldn't stop laughing at all the bullshit they're trying to spread. If you think Vinnie Mac likes rewriting history, you should take a look at the Ku Klux Klan's version of events.
