Just to keep ON topic for a second, I'll ask the following question...Doesn't THE "Wendy" actually operate Wendy's franchises in the Houston area? Was Booker literally robbing Wendy here? That's just wrong on SO many levels...
Okay, now drifting off-course...
White Castle is the ORIGINAL hamburger chain, started in Witchita, KS (where there are no longer White Castles) in the 1920's when hamburger meat was considered too low-class even for low-class. Original price: 5 cents each (they were quite different from what the White Castle you know today, which came to be due to rationing during World War II.)
They were copied pretty much move-for-move by several chains that followed. Krystal was one of those chains. White Castle didn't really bother with suing unless said chain infiltrated their turf, the most notorious case being White Tower, which underwent significant changes following the suit and resulted in White Tower paying White Castle royalty fees.
White Castle is a Midwest staple with over 300 stores (all company owned, they've never franchised) in very specific Midwestern and Eastern markets. The company also operates PSB (Porcelain Steel Buildings), which was originally incorperated to build White Castle's buildings and today even makes fertilizer spreaders.
My favorite way to eat White Castles is to discard the top buns and make double-patty burgers. This is better than simply ordering doubles because the bottom buns are steamed on top of the beef as it cooks, and are therefore much more flavorful. Put the two pickles in between the two meat patties, and there you go!
How about these for stuff you'll NEVER see: 1) Undertaker joins forces with Jeff Hardy, setting up the most evil tag team finisher ever: A Last Ride immediately followed by a Swanton Bomb. 2)
