Hey ladies, what did you think of last night's Raw Roulette? Was it a jackpot or a crap shoot (HAD to throw in the gambling analogies)? I thought it was fun (fixed or not) especially seeing Regal as a showgirl. That murderer thing is a tough one to swallow. Opinions are always welcome, and by the way, Victoria is my new favorite woman wrestler (at least until Ivory comes back and they take Molly seriously for a change).

Eh. It seems like WWE always wants their women wearing as little as possible, whether it be a "bra and panties match" on RAW or "bikini contests" on Smackdown!.

And why does Vince seem to have this thing for making women's matches spanking matches? I never found watching someone else getting spanked that enjoyable (and I especially didn't like it when *I* was that someone else). When was the last time there was a "Paddle On A Pole" match featuring two *men*?

As for the "Kane is a MURDERER!" angle - please. It's utter crap. Additionally, exactly how much HHH do we need on RAW, anyhow? He receives Poochie status at every RAW. He's got a bogus belt that will be combined with an established title to give it credibility. He's got wrestlers jobbing to a *sleeper hold*. Now, he's trying to resurrect the "Cerebral Assassin" part of his persona by pulling a third-rate Thomas Magnum impersonation?

You may want to keep this under your hat, Stephanie, but after this whole "murderer" thing, I'm (for the first time in... forever), I'm not too high on HHH this week. I know, I'm scared too!

Kane's now a "Murderer"? What kind of crappy payoff is this? He either really did have some hand in this fictional woman's death, and then what, a "loser spends the night in jail" match vs Bossman? Or, like it's been suggested in other threads, her death was accidental and Kane feels guilty about it. So you're back to pretending the whole thing never happened. Or does Kane sue for slander? Sweet Jebus, it's X-DoOL. That was definitely not my favorite part of the show.

Ringmistress ~ I definitely dug Regal as a showgirl, though. I'm kind of jealous he didn't have any obvious holes/runs in those nylons at the end of the match, though. I feel inferior. ^_^

Renegade, the bishonen master says:

I was hoping for an inferno match or some other weird stipulation for the woman's match, but I should have known what was coming. Victoria is pretty damn cool. Regal almost looked good as a showgirl...disturbing. Oh, and my two current favorite wrestlers were in a tag team (Jericho, Christian)!

Kane+murder angle=Stupid

And that's my quickie thoughts.

Overall, I really enjoyed all the parts of the show that weren't too stupid. (Well, that's profound.) I certainly wouldn't want to see Raw Roulette (or "Wheel of Raw", if you prefer) every week. But as a one-time special part of TNN's Vegas month, it was a decent gimmick. I wasn't at all bothered about the wheel being fixed as some people were. Actually I wondered if they'd pre-taped all those segments, just to ensure that the rigged wheel didn't accidentally go awry.

I thought Booker dragged some better-than-usual stuff out of Big Show in the cage match.

Jericho attacked Booker T for calling him "sucka" the previous week. Lawler referred to Booker T as "that sucka" at least twice. Does Book get to beat up Lawler now?

When Bishoff (IIRC) was telling Hurricane "Your match tonight is Tables, Ladders, & Chairs." And Hurricane in perfect rhythm added "Oh, my." I thought I was the only one who flashes on that cadence every time I hear it. (And "Holy Mick Foley." Tee-hee-hee.)

HHH to Bish when told he was getting a blindfold match: "It better be with one of them [the chorus girls]." I was astonished that they had Trips do comedy -- yelling at the ringpost was right at the edge of too silly. Glad to see that he & Flair finally got their act together & cheated like proper heels.

Regal & Goldie as showgirls was past the "too silly" line for me. But it was short.

Bra & Panties & Paddles ("Oh, my.") Oh, dear. Plus Uncle Eric slapping Stacy on the backside. No, we could have done without that. At least it was fairly short.

Does anybody else think that Randy Orton looks just a bit like a very-very-very young Arnold Schwarzennegger?

Al Snow in a hardcore match! Yea! (Did JR lie in the Ross Report about Al wanting some time off, or has he just not started his time off yet?) I thought Test did fine in this match -- I suspect that Al was making sure that Test "paid attention all the time". (Madame Manga -- your observations in my "Why don't I love RVD" thread about some of the guys needing somebody to make them "pay attention" certainly do apply to more than just RVD, don't they?)

Lawler wrestling. Bad. Lawler in his one-shoulder leotard. Bad. Godfather & the ho-train. Bad. Lawler gone for the last half hour of the show, & JR getting to do the TLC match solo. Good.

The TLC match was lots of good meyhem -- all kinds of fun. Again its not something that I want to see them doing every week, but I really enjoyed it. And I was glad that nobody got too badly damaged doing it!

The HHH/Flair murder accusation has been beaten to death on the main board. It could have been handled better, but I'm OK to wait & see what they do with it.

For the most part, I was a pretty happy camper.

Oooh! Does that mean that for the rest of the week I get to be "I, Emma - Raw - Number 1 - HHH Lover" ? :-)

Emma and Mistress,
I'm a Trip-lover too, but this is starting to get ridiculous, isn't it? I'm not sure if it's his own ego getting in the way, or if Steph and the McMahon's are pushing him into it, but come on! They're taking one of our most beloved heels and turning him into a late Nitro version of Kevin Nash!
Last week it was the two chicks in the shower thing. Who does that remind you of? Personally, I was disappointed when he told Jericho to wait for him, because he'd be done in a minute. A minute? Boy, talk about ruining MY fantasy! LOL
Then this week, he comes out with that whole "Katie" thing. I suppose that's going to set up something for Ace Reporter Gregory Helms to investigate, but it absolutely killed the audience response to that great TLC match.
I hope Trip wises up and realises that this "All Triple H - All The Time" is wearing out his fan appeal.

Kathy, you catch on quick. I haven't been too keen with his recent stuff as I was back in the days of the FAC-GIME. I don't mind Hunter being in segments if it's something good (like the Foley feud), but other than that, I'm not sure what he adds to things. I don't know the political machinations, but I wouldn't mind too much if he just reduces his time, or at least put himself in an angle truly worthy of him (whatever that means). I don't think that the murder thing is it. If it is, then I apologize in advance.

So when I started watching RAW, I thought it was a pretty mediocre show. Nothing but the HHH and Goldberg interaction (they totally looked like they were going to kiss at he press conference) and the Highlite reel held my attention.
