And remember, that wheel is TOTALLY RANDOM. No pre-planned matches tonight. That's why the steel cage was already in place BEFORE the wheel was ever spun.

I haven't actually seen RAW yet (West Coaster), but, wouldn't it make sense to have the cage already built, just in case it actually came up, to save time and such?

God I hope that there isn't a Coal Miner's Glove match. They ALWAYS suck.

I really had my hopes up for a coal miner's glove match. Damn you vegas show girl match for taking it's chance to shine! We didn't even get a first blood match. Oh well, I won't complain, I thought the show rocked.

I personally wanted a "Capture the Midget" match. :(

Tonight stopped being about who is right and who is wrong - it became about two men wanting to prove who the better man is - for YOUR entertainment. And that, my friends, is the credo of SmackDown!"

I wanted it too. I figured, since they were resurrecting "Spin The Wheel, Make The Deal," they might as well have brought in Cheatum The Evil Midget.

A Coal Miner's Glove match goes like dis:

A coal miner's glove is on a pole. The glove is just like those used by actual coal miners.

He who retrieves the glove first can use it for whacking his opponent, who will immediately brandish a snake and try to attack you with it.

Fear not, however, as the snake will just turn right around and attack your opponent. Sort of.

Failing that your opponent will hold the snake up to his face and pretend to be in incredible pain, although it's obvious to the viewer that the snake won't bite your opponent.

I think that's about it.

I had to laugh when I saw the coal miner's glove on the wheel... did anyone see if a "Scaffold Match" was on the wheel? or a Casket Match?
Yeah, the wheel was riggerd- good! It is a fake show anyway, and we all know what happens if you let it be truly random...
They may not have had a coal miner's glove match, but they did have a "blindfold" match, which is equally as bad...

. . . and yet it came off quite well, IMO.

RAW's blindfold match was lightyears ahead of WM VII's attempt.

Hickenbottom, the man who does not take part in angles that conflict with his religion, swearing violent revenge on HHH in full view of his two-year-old son. 11:06 PM, EST. 08/05/02. This angle, which has gone from being a "clean" wrestling match to an all-out unsanctioned street fight for bloody revenge is apparently sponsored by the book of Joshua.

Yeah it would have been funny if HHH would have been stuck with a TLC match or a 4 way first blood match (or would that be last blood) for the tag titles. Of course those matches would have total sucked but it would have made it look far more believable.

I'll put it this way, the fan-club does pay for itself. You get the free $20 video, the $20 t-shirt, the seating beforehand (which can usually give you a decent seat somewhere in the building)
