Did you see Kabeer smokin' down the field with that pickoff...faster than the fastest bear reciever.

Just keep ol' Jimbo Miller in there Bearsies...soon your punter's leg will wear out...

Ah, how beautiful. Especially the long touchdown pass from Favre to Driver on Favre's fourth pass of the game. Gbaja-Biamila rumbling downfield to cash in on that interception was just the icing on the cake.

Shall we start printing up the NFC North Champion T-shirts in green and gold?

There's only one word for that nightmare of game...AAARGGGHHHHH!!!!! And of course we also lose Terrell and Tucker to injury just to make that thrashing more fun. I can understand the defense sucking, half the group is injured/hobbled, and they're playing Favre who always smokes us. But it's getting to the point where the Bear fans may have to physically remove Shoop and Jauron and Miller from town to have a prayer of ever seeing some decent playcalling. Pack whipped the Bears collective ass, and looked better than they have in weeks doing so. Only good thing is I figure as the line implodes, Miller ought to be injured by Week 7 or 8.

And if the offensive line truly implodes, how long do you believe Chris Chandler will last? He's got a fairly thick medical jacket already. Are you in a hurry to see how good Henry Burris is as a NFL starter?

My desire to see Miller injured really has little to do with QB change at this point, as much as it does simply a desire to see violence inflicted on him. I'd wish injury on Shoop or Jauron, but the odds are so much lower on them at this point. As for QB's I'm putting my hopes in the Bears luring Sid Luckman out of retirement, as he's in good shape for a man in his 80's.

Yeah, how the hell did Shoop get an extension? Wasn't the offense, especially the passing game, getting excoriated in the press, namely him?

Although some reporter on ESPN.com is trying to push for Cincy to steal him to be their head coach, IIRC. Either him or their defensive coordinator, who's going to get flayed after this season because of their performance.

How can you blame Miller for what has happened? It's not his fault the calls have been for the short hitches and 5-yard sideline outs. Yes, he made some bad decisions, and he held the ball too long on the Gbaja-Biamila pick. But he also threw for about 350 yards, and almost brought the Bears back at the end. I really think the problem lies in John Shoop, and the fact that the defense is nowhere near as good (or lucky) as they were last year.

JIm Miller is the Test of NFL QBs. Plain as a bread sandwich.

I don't blame Miller so much as I despise him simply for being the major-domo of the world's most frustrating to watch offense. The venom I feel towards Shoopie is incalculable by any numerical system or linguistic tools yet devised by human kind. I can simply shake and grunt and throw things about when I think about him for any length of time, as in more than 12 seconds or so. I truly believe that if he had his way they would run Thomas into the middle of the line every single play. Though in response Kat to the idea that Miller is simply at the mercy of the offense, many times he holds onto the ball in the pocket, foregoing throws better QB's might be able to make, and in the end has to settle for the dump off due to his inability to make a more dynamic play. Basically unless his receiver is extremely wide open beyond 10 yds, he can't make that throw, so plays which a better QB might make on many of these calls have to be foresaken due to his lack of skills.

As for Blache and the defense, I think everyone cuts him a decent amount of slack, as Alex Brown and Christian Peter are not exactly replacements of the caliber of Ted Washington and Warrick Holdman. Indeed only now that he's gone are people beginning to realize that Holdman may have been the most important part of that defense, as his physical tools were such an unstoppable compliment to Urlacher.

Hey, the scary thing is that the Packers did it with only 1 of their starting secondary (Sharper, who is now injured). Hmm, is that saying something about the Bears' recievers or the Packers' secondary backups?

I'd say it's neither. Or it's both. Or something. Booker had 12 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown. Hardly a bad game. And Terrell and White each addded 70 yards of their own. Hell, Miller passed for 353 yards, which has to be a career high for him.

So there are two players who deserve blame. 1. Anthony Thomas-45 yards on 15 rushes is crap. 2. Miller did throw 3 interceptions. The first one (the one that KGB returned for a touchdown) was not his fault. The other two I have to think (since I don't recall what happened exactly) were caused by him being anxious. By the point of the second one, the Packers were ahead 31-14. With Thomas not doing anything, the burden was in Miller's hands, and he doesn't play nearly as well under pressure as Favre does.

It seems to me that that game was a result of what happens when you totally base your team around running the ball, and then fail to get it done. I've got to blame Thomas/the offensive line.

Talking about the Packers, though, I've been horribly unimpressed with Darrien Gordon. He was brought in solely to return punts, and the best he can do is a 4.2 yd. average? And if you throw out his longest return of 27 yards, it goes down to a 3 yard average. Every time I see him returning, he seems to be running side to side. Someone needs to remind him that you have to run North & South when you're a punt returner.

Pretty generic, but if you can't be good, you might as well change your uniforms and look different.
