Oh man it's here. The legendary FEELY TOP FORTY. Done by a teenager with a lot of mp3s and a lot of free time, it's THIS WEEK'S TOP FORTY SONGS THAT ARE GETTING PLAYED ON ROCK RADIO. I'm by no means an authority on what's good and what's not, but my taste is definitely a lot better than yours. Ha. Okay here we go.

-------- AHHHH IT WON'T LET ME REPLY. Anyway Kim I've always lived on Long Island. Moving from Brentwood to Islip right now. Yes.
I didn't realize that Supergrass had a new album out. How is it? I didn't get much into the last one. I guess I can ask the same of the Apples in Stereo album, though I did know that was out, at least.
I don't own either, I just have the singles on mp3. Most of the Supergrass reviews have it as more of the same. Like, it's still a good album, but they haven't really evolved. I've only read one review of the Apples In Stereo album and they trashed it a bit for seeming to be geared towards children (!?) with high-pitched vocals and fast poppy guitars and stuff, but that website usually trashes most of the albums they get anyway. So uh there.
I guess if you live in NY, you aren't Jay Feely. I wish you were, though, just so I could let you know what a terrible kicker you are. But you aren't, so I can't and I won't.
I like the new Supergrass album a lot! I like it all the way through, unlike the last one where it was like "OK I love some of these songs, sorta like some of these songs some of the time and other ones, not so much." It's kinda glammy and dark and hot. It gets my approval.
The only thing I enjoy more than doing the crossword puzzle is actually finishing it.
That's pretty much how I felt about their last album, too. I've now seen the new one described as having a Marc Bolan sound, which sounds about right as the hot, dark and glammy description, so I can't see me not liking this. I'll have to get it. Guess it'll only be available as an import. Thanks to the both of you for the information.
Sponge is still making music, but barely. I think they just got back together. (or was that the Gin Blossoms, or was it both. I know the Gin Blosssoms did...)
I think the new Supergrass album might actually be released here, if it hasn't already. Some Canadian radio's been playing "Grace", and normally stuff gets around the same release time here as there, even if we give British acts much less play.
And Butch Walker, yes he rules. I want that CD. After buying the SR-71 one due to his co-writing "Right Now", and the Injected one for his production work, I feel like I'm owed it. Those CDs sucked. Bad.
These commercials are superfine because they pay for the production costs of putting CHRIS MOTHERFUCKING BENOIT on my GODDAMN TV SCREEN! I will GO GREYHOUND! I am thinking OUTSIDE THE BUN! – Dean Rasmussen 8/1/2002 Smackdown Workrate Report

Sponge is still kicking around? I tried to see if there was anything about them online, but I didn't find anything. This from probably the only person to buy all three of their albums. New. In music stores. At full price, no less. (Although they did peak somewhere between Rotting Pinata and Wax Ecstatic...)
And I don't think Gin Blossoms is still around. Last I heard, they put out a posthumous hits collection.
No, the Gin Blossoms definitely got back together this past summer. Them, Sponge, Seven Mary Three, and the Spin Doctors just did a tour together. And Sponge's official website is www.spongetheband.com . There's some info on the new EP there.
