Now that my satellite dish woes are a thing of the past, I can gladly say: It's time for the The Great Thomas SmackDown! Report!

Tag Team Tournament (Part 1): The rudos work over Henry's arm, and Eddie wins.

Torrie's Dad: At least Dawn Marie's polite.

Undertaker vs. Hardy: OMG HARDY WON! I liked how Lesnar left Undertaker crying.

Angle vs. Edge: Stupid rubes! Angle does NOT suck! Edge works over Angle's arm. Angle works over Edge's ribs. Submissions and suplexes galore! HOLY SHIT REF BUMP! What the hell?! One ref knocks out the other, so who wins?

Angle vs. Edge (re-started): More ribs getting worked over. Edge is the NEW Five-Star Match Machine! Benoit screws Angle! Edge wins!

Tag Team Tournament (Part 2): D'Von's got a new partner, DAMN! Anyway, D'Von wins.

Mr. Wilson Gets an Eyeful: I hope Torrie doesn't get the tape of this!

Bikini Contest: Torrie won. Again. Torrie always wins.

The Stipulation?: Somehow, I knew it was going to be Hell in a Cell.

The Main Event: Rey-Rey sells like a mofo. High-flying moves, suplexes and submissions galore! Benoit counters the 619! Angle screws Benoit! Rey-Rey wins!

That's all for this week. Until then, Good Night, take care of yourselves, and prepare for Hell in a Cell on No Mercy!

You'd probably cry, too, if somebody slammed a tank of propane on your hand and broke it. (Yes, it obviously wasn't a full tank of propane - listen to how it hit - and obviously Taker's hand isn't truly broken, but still.)

Aside #1: Stephanie's Screech is back. She just can't talk loud without screeching, can she?

I found it interesting that D'Von came out in his new Christian Fish Logo T-shirt (the right-wingers should love that), while Ron Simmons (Billy did refer to him as Ron Simmons, not Faarooq) was still wearing his old Acolyte ring gear. What do we call the new team - Heaven and Hell? Salvation and Damnation? Good and Evil?

Aside #2: Nice sucker punch on Billy, Ron.

I wasn't sure why they spent so much time dwelling on Torrie's dad. I thought it was going to come up to some lame skit where Mr. Wilson spanks Dawn Marie for blindsiding Torrie - Vince seems to have a thing for spanking.

Random Smackdown Thoughts:

Stephanie Headroom, (shudders)

I really like this Taker-Lesnar feud. I liked when Lesnar threw the propane tank on Taker's hand. I've never heard anyone yell like that.

That was Torrie's real-life dad. I remember seeing him on Confidential.

Another good promo by Angle.

Angle-Edge was awesome. I think that was Mike Sparks' finest moment. I laughed at Benoit laughing.

Interesting that Batista was supposed to be D-Von's partner.

Mysterio-Benoit was good.

Overall, another awesome Smackdown.

Oooh, that would be cool. A face and a heel, tagging together.

Worked for Sting and Lex Luger.

SD was awesome again. Those new tag belts look pretty cool. As a matter of fact - I saw the new Hungry Man XXL commercial starring....

Speaking of Luger, Palumbo looked way to much like Flexy Lexy on SD. As for Taker, does anyone actually think he'll sell the hand injury, or worse, they do the 'Through incredible odds, Taker, with one hand, has defeated Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title.'

I see the broken hand as more proof that Undertaker won't job cleanly. Oh, he'll lose, but it'll be all like, "Wow! He almost won with a broken hand. Imagine if he was healthy!"

BTW, Billy & Chuck=no longer matching outfits. Is it already time for this team to break up?

Taker jobbed to the F-5 onto popcorn. The man landed in popcorn and he still stayed down.

And you say that the Undertaker is afraid to job!

I don't know. I wasn't blown away by the show. Edge/Angle was fantastic and Benoit/Rey was really good, but I probably liked RAW better in the long run...

Since everyone else is doing it (ok, not EVERYONE, but...)

Vikings (0-4) - Whoops, that kinda...Uh...Sucked. Hey but at least we looked better in the second half!
Badgers (5-0) - *Sigh.* Bye weeks sure are boring.
Twins (1-1) - Well, that wasn't so hot, now was it?
Buffy 7.2 earns a 8.8 Out of 10 for being the funniest episode since "Tabula Rasa" and without the dramatic ending. It might even have scored higher if my UPN's audio didn't cut out and I didn't have to watch it in closed captioning...

And now, a Great Thomas Bonus Commercial Report!

Booker T Shills Hungry Man XXL: For when just a pound of food isn't enough. I especially liked how Booker nearly destroys the entire supermarket looking for something to eat.

Wow thanks Excalibur, I was really questioning my sanity when reading post after post of "Another super show" on this and Dean's thread. The show was good, but I found a lot of slow and lazy spots. I think Raw edged it out as well. Smackdown does have the talent and the momentum so a average effort (like last night) still looks good unlike RAw an average effort would look awful. And last nights Smackdown just looked average.

-Eddie/Chavo v. Rikish/Henry- Well I do like the Eddie/Chavo and they did beat the most annoying Smackdown character along with his partner Mark Henry. So it can't be all that bad.

-Matt Hardy v. Undertaker- It's so great seeing the Undertaker put the hot new kid character Mattitude over like he did. yeah yeah it's just an honor being in the same ring as the Undertaker (whatever). He sold the nut shot for 5 seconds (what a pro). And get's F5 on POPCORN, how freakin lame, it's sad that I thought of Hogan willing to take harder bumps... Broken hand, oh great needs an excuse to put a guy who's more athletic, younger, stronger, and a better wrestler over.

-Noble v. Crash- Don't know if it's a good sign having Noble wrestler Crash for the cruiserwieght. It really seems to have dropped in the importance scale. Hope this division picks up again.

-Edge v. Angle- Great match, Angle is just so perfect in every way. Edge looked great again, hell I'd even be satisfied if the match ended in a controversial ending. But they restarted and made it from great to excellent. This should have been the main event. But maybe the 9:00 hour was important who knows?

-Dvon/Faarooq v, Billy/Chuck- Oh B&C now just bore me to tears, D-von/simmons might have some potential. Glad and surprised that they won.

-Bikini contest- Didn't we just have this last week! Dawn is pissed cause Torrie has a better body (oh that's a first) attacks Torrie (monkeys with typewriters). Torrie has a flesh colour bikini, becoming more and more like Terri every week, well good for her... Question comes to mind, didn't we have this stuff on Raw and ratings went down but not on SD and ratings went up. So why bring this aspect to SD. Yeah figuring out WWE logic hurts my brain.

-Mysterio v. Benoit- I think the total nothingness that was going on since Edge/Angle to this main event took some steam out of the sails of the main event. I wasn't as into it as Edge/Angle but still good but seemed a little emotionless don't know why?

other stuff - Finding out that was Torrie's real father made the whole Dawn/Torrie thing even sadder (umm where's Nidia is that feud over via spank, maybe all male feuds should end with one guy spanking the other ummm maybe not)... Brock/Heyman reaction to Matt after he won the match was funny... Stephanie running into the male locker room with Eddie in a towel (he still showering it's been an hour Eddie don't waste all the hot water!) was different

Brock should have said to UT before the F-5 into the popcorn "Maven sends you his regards."

“Maven sends you his regards.” HA! That would be wonderful. I got a kick out of Maven's mini-feud with 'Taker.

Anyway... of course 'Taker stayed down after the F-5 delivered onto popcorn. After all, popcorn is a dangerous weapon, don'cha know. Just ask one of Dude Love's opponents. When you get hit with a bag of popcorn, you don't get back up.

Reminds me of a story in Foley's first book in which Foley asked Owen Hart before a match, “You mind if I hit you with a bag of popcorn?” Owen thought about it for a minute before replying, “Uh, okay, but don't hit me too hard.” Hahaha...

That Foley-Owen Hart story took place in San Jose in front of Dave Meltzer.

I miss Owen.

You're right. RVD hasn't been in the WWF that long, and hasn't made a really huge impact. BUT, does the WWF have access to any ECW footage? If I remember correctly, they do, because they used some in his entrance video when he first entered the WWF.
