OK, so assume Nash, Hall, and the Orange Goblin are all coming back for an extended stay (I haven't read the spoilers). My question is, how smart is Vince really? Will he give Nash and the others any kind of power right off or does he realize how much trouble they potentially could be? Did he watch WCW and see how they performed there? How aware is Vinnie, and how much does he depend on the reports of others? I know he (or someone) dropped Kronik and Buff after horrible showings, but Hogan is a horse of another color (literally). I'm betting that he'll keep them on a short leash, but what do you think?
I seriously doubt he'll let them get away with whatever they want. In fact, I don't know if he'll give any of them the World Title. Not immediately, at least.
I hope he makes them prove themselves first, that's all I hope... other than that I hope this move keeps all of them heels instead of what I predict, which is making cool heels all over again, screwing up the crowd...
---=---:---=--- [Look up a line] Wow, that belt looks like crap... I'll take it and carry it around for years and see if people can take it away from me... What? What was that? You mean even THIS belt doesn't matter! What? I'm insulted! Get away from me you... you... defiler!
Which it was, it made Vince the guy everyone hated following his face stint in the Invasion angle. It gave Regal something to work off. It helped turn the Taker heel. It gave the WWF a nice way to have Rikishi return Granted, some of us might not like the angles it helped create but it did create a lot. More important: It gave Vince the chance to live out his long life dream and prance around the ring with a cowboy hat slapping his ass.. And we now know how JR keeps his job *grin*
How long did it last? 3 weeks tops? 5 shows or something? It sucked but it was kept short and there was a nice payoff with Vince's face almost being pushed through Rikishi's ass..

It seems like Vince has been keeping a tight rein on his wrestlers lately. Buff and Kronik were let go immediately after their lackluster performances, if that was the only reason. I just hope this all works out for the best. When do you think they will debut? Monday's Raw?

You make good points and I admit that the first day of the angle, it had us talking and it helped move the whole company forward after the Invasion debacle.
However, I think that each subsequent time he showed us his naked butt, it got less interesting and more horrific -- like we were watching a man's descent into narcissistic madness.
I don't think Vince will put up with their crap for a second. Pretty much everyone in the WWF seems to know their role, so I don't think he'll tolerate any of that primadonna bullshit that those three are famous for spreading around.
yeah... if a main stay like UT wasn't able to keep his budies around and get his way... i dont think vince would let hall, nash, hogan have their ways either...
I AM THE BEST there is, was and ever will be!!!! Dont you wish that you were me??? no?.... i've got two words for ya!
We'll see what kind of leash they're on... I get the feeling they'll be able to get away with a little more than, say, Buff or Kronik, but they'll have to earn their respect.
So long as Vince is strictly involved in an introductory manner, and then stays out of it (I understand he'll still be there in some capacity, but within reason), and doesn't let it get out of control, I think it could be great. I have a feeling this is Vince's last gasp to stay in the mainlight.. otherwise, it's back on the long, dark road until another major boom. Obviously, it depends on how it's done (and how and if PPV buyrates increase).
