This sounds odd. It has been reported that Vince has issues with the original Un-Americans. He is upset that they got too much heat at MSG (!?) and that Test and Christian did not follow his plan to cut their hair and wear the same ringwear ring gear as Lance Storm. Apparently Vince also feels that they get too much offence in for heels, which tells me he may not have watched the top heel on RAW for a while. William Regal was added to the group to lower their status, which must be a huge boost for all involved.
Why would Vince be upset with a stable that has been, so far, a sucesss in getting heat on wrestlers who were struggling for any reaction?
...full of energy. Multi-orgasmic, if you will, in a cosmic sort of way."
How does Vince "get upset" at one of his workers for not following his plan? Isnt that like my boss telling me to start wearing a tie, but I still come in to work wearing the same dirty old T-shirt? Imagine what would happen to me if I did that.
How do heels get too much offense? Since when are heels only supposed to get a certain amount at a time?
Everything you said (no offense to you, I know you didnt make all that up) before the Regal part implies that Vince's workers have just run amuck and he has no comtrol over them or what they do in the ring and all he can do is sit back and get mad.
Then the part about Regal is just insane. If you wanna lower someone's status (Remind me why you would wanna do that again anyway?), why not just take them off TV, or reduce their TV time, or break them up, or job them out, etc??
TRASH. I dont buy any of it.
On a side note, what ever happened to the alleged OMG HUGE PUSH Regal was supposed to get for joining Vince's "Kiss My Ass" club last year (Remember THAT??)?
What the story is, as reported by Meltzer and others, is that the Un-Americans themselves are worried about getting too much heat. Regal was put there to add to the group, since he's a natural heatseeker, and can take care of himself if actual trouble does arise, not to lower their status.
I'm guessing the "trouble" meant is the Un-Americans getting jumped either ringside or during travel. Regal is supposed to be a pretty serious ass kicker in real life. It's probably a legitimate concern, but I read something that Lance wrote where he said that the fans have been really good at drawing the line between real and fantasy so far. Let's hope they don't go to any baseball games in Chicago.
Not thinking about the fact that The Un-Americans were Raw exclusively, I kept avoiding this topic out of fear that it was spoiling the Smackdown main event. Curiosity finally got the best of me and I was much relieved.
It doesn't make sense to me that Vince McMahon would put heat on guys for getting TOO MUCH heat!
That sounds more like something Triple H would do.
"That's right! You suckas better FIND somewhere to run! 'cause it's me - Booker T - not only am I the Scorpion King, but I'm the five-time WCW Champion - and I got a sword, too! Now can U dig THAT - SUCKAAAAAS"
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuullshit. No way Vince would be pissed at heels for getting heat from the crowd. Uh... that's what heels are supposed to do! And nothing pisses off crowds more than assaholic heels who can back it up in the ring.

HBK vs Edge: I'm thinking that they are going to draw this out until Wrestlemania. This just doesn't seem like a one match feud to me. So that probably means Edge wins by cheating somehow here, and goes on to lose to HBK cleanly at Mania.
