(edited by socetew on 7.10.02 2055) How serious is serious?
Beastie Boys pop up every now & then. Regrettably, it's usually on the rock stations w/ stuff off "License to Ill", or Sabotage
EDIT: never mind, I didn't see the "pop radio" part of the title...

Hey. Have the beastie boys made anything new since Hello Nasty? Beside the 1 or 2 new tracks on their "Best Of" album they released a year or two later?

best, soce, the elemental wizard
Not yet, but they are working on a new album, IIRC.
And would Mystikal count? I know his latest thing was the contribution to "Move Bitch" by Ludacris... I also wouldn't call 3LW rappers... aren't they more "crap R&B", right next to Ashanti (who would be NOTHING without Ja Rule)?
I put in 3LW because they are featured in so many songs these days:
Naughty By Nature f/ 3LW -- Feels Good Bone Thugs f/ 3LW -- Get Up 3LW f/ p diddy & Loon -- I Do 3LW f/ some random rappers -- I Do remix
I find them tolerable, but not enough to turn up the radio when they come on, although the background for the I Do remix is kind of tight.. it's like a rework of the background for "diddy".

Deltron 3030 and Blackalicious are great acts, but they do not get played on pop radio... except the rare stations that do an hour of "underground". Also, I rarely hear Wu Tang on the radio, except sometimes in '99 GZA had "Breaker, Breaker", and ODB's "Got Yo Money" and a few Ghostface songs, but rarely the entire group together--
Plus I didn't list some people like Frekey Zekey because they are part of Cam'rons Diplomats, so they fall under the listing of Cam'ron.
I dunno, but I swear JAMN 94.5 only plays about 6 songs.. it really seems that way
BobHollySTILLRules is a damn long name:I've never, ever heard Wu Tang played on pop radio and I'd be highly shocked if they ever are.
Never heard Gravel Pits played on pop radio? It was huge on the hip-hop side of pop radio up here for a while... also C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me) was really big on pop radio back in the day. I dunno, maybe it all depends on where you're listening from.
Del got airplay from his 3030 album because of his guest spot in the Gorillaz Clint Eastwood. I've heard Blackalicious once or twice on the local pop station with First In Flight...
