I'm only 45 minutes into KH, but how Square f'd up FF:TSW boggles the hell out of me. The stained glass pictures are splendid, and being a big BATB fan, I was pleased to see the work done. Seeing the credits in the booklet for the voice-overs made me proud of Square/Disney totally doing their homework for the game.
The E-Reader has potential; it's neat that such a small object can emulate a NES with 90% clarity and 100% gameplay retention. The NES games sold are actual NES games -- no "Vs." that I'd actually have for, say, Excitebike. Beggars can't be choosers, I guess.
Like I said, I'm more in it for the emulation part to see what happens down the road. If not, guess it's getting traded in down the line.

I bought the e-reader as well, and so far I love it. Came with Pinball, bought Excitebike and DK Jr. so far. I believe that the killer app for it would be... Pro Wrestling with 2 player support using one e-reader and a link cable.
and one question, what does "TSN" stand for in the context of FF:TSN? I am stupid.
It's been edited. Thank you for pointing out my mistake.
Anyway, I'm curious as well as to how they'll do Game Link for some of these. I am impressed, however, with the voice samples for the start-up. Compare it to the emulated Pole Position on Namco Museum, and, well... it's apples to oranges.
So... anyone else curious on how the next WWE game is gonna turn out?

You can ride Taker's motorcycle on Smackdown 4, so that sounds damn cool (I'll probably do Angle/Taker first so I can steal the damn thing). I just hope it's better than the last. I've heard good things however, but you can't ever tell. The hype is usually better than the game itself.

BATB?? Bash at the Beach??
See this is why people should just spell stuff out, i mean it would what? 10 more seconds?
Point taken on the anagramming; but if you're going to take me to task, it would take you the same amount of time to fix your punctuation and capitalization. Agreed?

Does that mean the motorcycle is an actual weapon in the game, meaning you could run over opponents?

What's the name of the song used in the beginning of KH, and in the commercials? Anyone know?

The theme to Kingdom Hearts is "Simple and Clean" (unlike Stephanie Benes after her Rikishi kiss) sung by Utada Hikaru. I think, IIRC, that she's going by "Hika" as a nickname.
Oh -- and it is Beauty and the Beast, and I stand corrected once again. My bad.

I played the game for five hours last night. It's off the hook. I had to decide between it and Animal Crossing (next week I'll have 'er!) and the game is incredible. I thought it would be shady, a game with BOTH Square AND Disney characters, but they actually fit in quite nicely, with the way the story runs.
I do have one quick question, however. This game looks incredible, the worlds themselves are actually quite big, so explain why some games need more than one disc? I mean this game, which seems quite big, runs fine on just one, why doesn't it have the four of five final fantast fans are used to?
Also, I believe the motorcycle on Smackdown 4 CAN be used as a weapon. Also, of note, a worker for Gamefaqs.com who works at Funcoland got to play a copy of the game early at one of their meetings and is answering questions. The guy seems pretty knowledgable, so check it out if you're interested.
Only thing that sucks is the password feature on Smackdown 4 (for create-a-wrestlers, instead of having to go through all that work, you could just put in a password, makes trading easier) is GONE! But, other than that the game sounds exciting.
Back to Kingdom Hearts. Anyone manage to beat all three kids at once? I can't even get past the champion on the original island (I'm on Traverse Town now, but still want to beat that little bastards ass). Anyone got any tips?
I'm only an hour in Kingdom Hearts, but I still like the game...for some reason I have the feeling I'll like that Riku kid. I've only beaten Tidus and Selphie so far (it's so damn easy) but I can't beat Wakka for the life of me...I guess practice make perfect.

They're all good practice; you just have to know how to attack each's weaknesses. I'd go beat Traverse Town and WonderLand, and then come back. You shouldn't have that much of a problem.
Oh -- and another thing -- once you and the Dynamic Duo are together, make sure you turn Goofy's Jackpot ability on the moment after the battle is over. It makes a hella-difference for getting Munny.
I'm still in awe of the v/o talent that they got.
I also anticipate what SD!4 could be like, as well.

The trick (that I've found anyway) to beating Wakka is to, either time your swings to hit the ball, or to just get in close enough to wack away at him before he can wind up. You take some lumps either way, but I've found him to be fairly easy once you can get a rhythm.
I'm about 50% through the game now (I'm nearing the end of Agrabah, which has been a bitch and a half for me), and I've found 33 of the 99 dalmations, which surprises me, as I haven't really been trying to get them (though they do offer up some nifty prizes if you head back to the mansion).
One thing I implore you all to do is remember to check and equip your abilities every so often, because there's a lot of stuff that you didn't know you (or Donald and Goofy for that matter) can do that you can do.
WBD: I think that the DVD-ROM drive is the solution to all the RPG discs problems. The problem was that CD couldn't hold as much on each disk, so they had to extend it across multiple discs. With DVD, more space = one disc. That's how FFX was only one disc.
DR: Riku's interesting this far into the game. I still can't completely grasp what's going on with him (well, I can...sort of...)
TY: Jackpot kind of sucks when you're going after that last health orb and Goofy sucks it up. Sure, the money comes rolling in, but damned if he doesn't keep stealing the health from Donald and me.
Oh, and voice talent is right! Even for some characters that barely have lines they got the people who played them in the movies (Genie, however, is Hank Azaria's Genie, and not Robin Williams').
Anyway, a question of my own, is anybody past the Colleseum? I'm already long gone from there, but I was wondering if anybody actually beat the boss there (not the final boss, the mini-boss)? You don't need to beat him to go on, but it'd be neat to have. In fact, I might go back and try it again once I finish. Just curious as to what constitutes an effective strategy (certainly not trusting in Donald and Goofy who got absolutely pasted in that battle).
Since everyone else is doing it (ok, not EVERYONE, but...)
Vikings (0-3) - Looking like a sad year to be a Vikes, fan, and only getting by on my hate for the Rams and... Badgers (5-0) - The fact that, despite the fact that we looked like crap against friggin' Northern Illinois, we killified Arizona and are close to being bowl bound. Twins (90-66) - I have no delusions of granduer, but this certainly makes up for being a fan during all the "lean years". Buffy 7.1 earns a 8.3 Out of 10 for being solid, yet subtly underwhelming.
I FINALLY beat Wakka...on the first try. I've gotten past Traverse Town and Wonderland. I tried the colleseum after I beat Traverse Town, but I couldn't get past the fourth round in the preliminary, so I just went to Wonderland. I'll try again after I beat the Deep Jungle I'm in now...

I've beaten the Wonderland boss and started on the coliseum. I'm still amazed by how many characters they managed to fit in this game. I only wish they'd found a way to get MORE Wonderland characters in, like the whole tea party. But, all in all, the game's awesome. Also, I find it weird Hank Azaria doesn't get much mention, because in the world of toonery, ol' Hank is THE MAN.
I can't WAIT to get to Neverland however, as long as Smee (sp?) is there along with Hook and the rest of the gang.
Oh, and after starting over again I put those kids and Raiku to shame. Beat my 16-14 streak by 10-0, and was able to raise my levels by beating all three kids. I justhope I can find all the Dalmations as I haven't found enough to issue a reward yet.
