That was an all around perfect episode of Smackdown, with maybe the exception of the women's match. If some non-fan was coming down on me for watching wrestling, I think I'd put in the tape of that specific episode of Smackdown and have them watch it and say "THIS is why I watch wrestling". That show had pretty much everything, and if any non-fan isn't impressed with that Angle-Rey match, they'll never be impressed with anything in pro-wrestling and they're a lost cause. Anyway, just thought I'd add my praise to the Smackdown pile and say that everything in this show, from the opener to Angle-Rey to the wedding to the creepy ending with Brock and Sara, this was a PERFECT mix of Sports and Entertainment and Soap Opera that I would not be ashamed to show anybody as an example. It's too bad I can't say the same about Raw lately.
I really shouldn't have read the spoilers for this one. I had promised myself that I wouldn't, but Tuesday night, a friend called up yelling, "Oh my god, have you read the spoilers???!!!"
So I gave in. Serves me right for having friends.

Actually, it was a semi-goatee. I had the stache and the chin pubes, but the chin hair doesn't really show up in the pic because of a shadow. To relate this more to wrestling somehow, rather than just to disect my pic, my facial hair there is very similar to Eddy Guerrero's currently, where the stache and the chin don't "connect" with each other by more hair. But, to answer your question, no I don't have any facial hair anymore, not even the porn stache.
And thanks for being so cool about explaining it. I hoped you didn't think I was trying to be an ass, you just look like a friend of mine (who happens to have a porn stache).

Sadly, I did watch that Smackdown with someone who isn't a wrestling fan. It probably would have went well without the repeated stink faces. The mistake with Eddie and Chavo went ok, but Benoit's was hard to explain. Even if I know that it's done for comedy, it's hard to explain to someone that you watch wrestling when all they see is stupid crap like that. Thank God that I didn't try to watch last Monday's Raw with her.

Who says he didn't agree? He gave Angle-Rey almost three whole stars!

See...I LIKED the end. I was watching with my fiancee and she was freaking out over that, how Brock went up to her and had the GALL to touch her pregnant stomach!! She HATED that and no matter how much I explained to her that the whole point of it was that Brock and Paul ARE pushing things a little too far like that, she was so pissed off. So it got a great reaction from a casual fan. I also liked how it was creepy like that. It shows how far Paul and Brock taking this feud to get into the UTs head to "get him off his game" for their match. Great old school psychology, and I'm actually excited for an UT match for the first time in a long long time.
You're right. Everyting about that show worked last night. Angle/Rey was the best tv match I've seen since RVD/Eddie. And the commitment ceremony was seriously entertaining- a long skit that just kept getting better. I loved hearing Eddy yelling out in espanol after the attack. Attention to detail goes a long way, and that's what Smackdown has been giving us.
WHAT WORKED: I liked Samoa Joe’s mic work and for the first time since he was seconding a Mummy in SMW, I actively enjoyed James Mitchell mic work. Sting talked about how he needed to be humble before Christ.
