HHH in the last segment standing on the ramp with a towel around his shoulders, with a water bottle in one hand, and his belly button in plain view. ::pausing to drool:: I have to admit, HHH is not the same lately, he's more arrogant and pompous. I think it becomes him, but it's something I'm not used to. On the upside, he's not so bad without the beard. Anyway, there I go gushing over him again. But it's my birthday, and opinions are welcome.
He's smiling more, which goes a long way. One thing that didn't endear me to him during his face run was his lack of humor. He was grim and grisly 24/7. Now he's happy and evil again--much, much better.
RingMistress -- Happy Birthday! (But didn't anybody ever tell you that Virgos aren't supposed to like Leos? Yeah, doesn't stop me, either. :-) )
Oh-yes-yes-yes. The sardonic, wry HHH is absolutely better. Any excuse for the smile, be it smirk or legitimate, is gooooood. (There was one clip toward the end of the "My Sacrifice" video of him at rehab. They had him doing something really ouch-ouch-ouch-hoooooold. When they let him release that, he got the big, legitimate grin. Squealy-girl oooh!)
I guess when he was a face he felt the need to project some extra bad-guy vibe, so went with the facial hair & sleeves-ripped-off jacket & such. I wonder if the extra muscle bulk & rip was also a deliberate part of that.
When they were replaying the various old DX clips, I was amazed how different the face HHH looked. But then as he flipped back to heel mode & picked back up the previous look, I was equally amazed at how easily that happened.
By the way, that owie on his forehead is taking its damn sweet time to heal. That was way messier than just a basic blading job.
And also, by a different way, have we ever seen Lance Storm smile? Is *that* what he needs to really catch on??
Yup. Exactly what Toast Jr just said. (Except the part where you claimed to be rambling -- you weren't.) The "rules & guidelines" violation in my mind was this: Eric sent Mae (as a wrestler)
