I was going to add this to the 1wrestling pop-up thread, but I guess I missed the window of opportunity. (BTW, loved how that link to the story about Earthlink offering pop-up stopping software gives you a pop-up ad when you leave the page.)
Anyway, it looks like they're dealing with a less-than reputable company for selling ad space- upon opening the second page of the Ross Report, I got a popup and an "always ask before downloading" window for the surely awesome "internetdatingsoftware.exe". Is anybody really making money off of these- WWE *or* the ad company? Just seems like they take in enough money (current financial "woes" aside) to not have to resort to this. Same goes for... MSN?!? Yeah, it's that bad.
There also seems to be a lot of Trojan ads on WWE's site the last few times I checked. Not that it's not a good idea, but I think the WWE should decide whether or not they're kid friendly once and for all.
Besides, kids are more likely to get on websites than adults anyway.
---=---:---=--- [Look up a line] Wow, that belt looks like crap... I'll take it and carry it around for years and see if people can take it away from me... What? What was that? You mean even THIS belt doesn't matter! What? I'm insulted! Get away from me you... you... defiler!
I just enjoy the fact that on the WWE main page they advertise Trojan Condoms. This is wrestling fans we're talking about. They'd be better off shilling mop up rags for the messes...masses.

See my avatar? That's what happens when I don't get my way.
To add to the fun, Gator's also in the wwe.com ad cycle.
Are they hurting for money THAT BADLY that they have to take money from that kind of parasite?

Well, that could be the result of their advertisement provider being a bunch of twats, and not the person in charge of finding advertisers for wwe.com being a stupid wanker. some advertising host dudes are lame like that.
