So who else is going to infuse some energy into
the tag ranks. Right now we have:

Tazz and Spike - how long can this last?

Dudleyz - need someone new to work with

Chuck & Billy - They keep picking on singles wrestlers

Albert and Scotty - what to do with them?

We are obviously going to see the return of the Hardyz, but
who else is there. With so much top level talent and so many high mid-carders, why does the WWF not pair some people and upgrade the tag team talent.

I was so surprised to see Val, Perfect, Godfather and Golddust come back as singles. There is just no breathing room at that level.

What about others like Raven, Saturn, Taijiri......?

Yeah, those would work, but most are tied up in the big picture....

Kane and Big Show are going to feud, obvious after last night, when Show 'accidently' knocked Kane from the top rope.

HHH is going back to being champ....
Jericho is busy with defending until HHH takes it all away at WM

Angle could work with someone?
Rock too?

You would have thought Raven and Saturn as a team would have been a given. I will never forget their awesome match agaisnt heel WCW tag champs Beniot and Malenko spring break Nitro in 98. But alas, the WWF is trying to go with continuity (WWF? Nooooo) and enforce a stupid stip no one cares about or believe. So I have to wait until the end of WM before I can see Raven, Chavo, Kanyon, Dreamer, etc..and they have Chuck and Billy on my TV?

Well, Chuck and Billy aren't that bad to me actually. I'm glad they follow Tag Team rule number #2: They have a matching uniform. I hate it when they put 2 wrestlers togather who just don't look like a team. (cough..Taz..ahem..Spike)

I mean they really dropped the ball on not putting Shawn Stasiek (I can never spell that fucker's name right) and Billy Gunn togather. Smoking Guns my ass they were like doppelgangers. And they had the abilty to suck every oda of heat in any match. I'm going to go by their huge ass combined roster and find a few decent tag teams...

Saturn and Raven Who needs Kronos? These two had some wicked double team moves as well. Which covered their bases for Tag Team Rule #4 Have at least one tandem move that kicks ass! And I wish someone on the roster besides Spike, would be brave enough to take a drop toe hold onto a chair for my own amusment.

Sean O'Haire and Brock Lesner When Jindrak and O'Haire were wrestling in WCW, I use to say, Damn thats a big ass dude. When I first saw Brock Lesner I said, "HOLY FUCKING SHIT THATS A BIG ASS DUDE"! So why not put the 2 big green wrestlers togather and watch them destroy all comers. If they lose to a weaker team, then JR could use the old expierance over power angle. I know WCW did this with the NBT, but just because WCW did something first it doesn't mean it isn't worth repeating. In wrestling everything happens at least three times.

R.V.D and Jerry Lynn Most WWF fans have clue zero about their history. If RVD is just going to start jobbing to Bossman and his ilk then why not let him soar in the tag teams? And although not fact, rumor is Vince didn't want to push JL because his look was too "80ish". Well! Look who's calling the kettle black. They know each others moves and if giving TIME, keyword time..they could pull a 4 star out of any team. Well except Bossman and Bull.

Kurt Angle and Mr. Perfect! Where do I start? So many ways to play this, some may see this as a demotion for Kurt. Well I seriously doubt there were going to have Angle main event 'mania anyway. They should do this now, while Curt (Curt and Kurt.....I love it!) is dedicated and in shape. You could do the Mentor teaching the student, the two devious bastards who are always trying to one up each other in mayhem. Who wouldn't mark out for Henning Perfect-Plexing (I know it feels good to be able to call it that again) Taz and Angle O-Slamming spike through a table, 2 chairs, a ladder, and a vat of acid. Who ever chases this heel team for the belts will be stars!

Billy Kidman and Spike Dudley I don't mean to offend anyone, but with Billy's old blue jean shorts and wife beater and Spike's old ECW getup, it just screams TRAILER TRASH! I love it. You need that one underdog team that can squeak out a win while still being crediable. And I stress, a win by this team should NEVER come easy. But time always proves, people love the underdogs. And these underdogs can wrestle and bump better then anyone on the roster.

Test and Mike Awesome They share a common trait besides being tall as hell. They have been used, and abused to the point where no one sees them as a threat.(unless they are wrestling Spike) This is what it will take, someone is going to have to take a Awesome Bomb at least twice a month. And they need to win, win, win baby. First give Test a new look, So when he comes out in shades I won't expect to hear Edge's Rob Zombie. Never, ever, ever, let Mike get near a mic, unless it's used as a choking aid on an opponent. A 2 month Dudley-Got Wood fued could save both of the teams' careers.

And thats it. I didn't want to list too obvious of a choices like Storm and Justin, (how many times was that promised) Although I was tempted to do Jericho and Storm. But unlike Kurt, that would really be a demotion. If you read this far then email me and I will pay-pal you a nickel for putting you to sleep. Anyone else have any fantasy teams?

I love the idea of Angle-Perfect. They could be a really legit tag champs for an extended run. The possibilities of feuds are endless.

Hardyz, Dudleyz, Chuck/Billy.....

Does anyone else think Edge going over the edge last night leads to him re-joining Christian as another team?? Christian could go see him, saying... "hey brother, you made me proud last night with what you did out there".

If Angle gets the tag team belts, he will join Shawn Micheals and HHH as grand slam winners. Something I can see Kurt bragging about every chance he gets. Wait, Kurt was WCW and Hardcore Champ too. That would mean Kurt is the greatest wrestler who ever lived! Seriously, anyone in Titan Tower reading this, please make that team happen. I won't even do an embarressing "Hey they stole my idea!" thread. If they are half as smart as I think they are. Then they probable are planning this already.

The thing with Edge and Christian is, they were so great togather. Anything else is anti-climatic. Their greatness is more evident now that the tag team ranks is stale. Is there any other team now that is getting mic time? I admit I was one of those non-belivers post WM2000, that felt bad for them because I thought the Hardys' were getting so ahead of them. The last team that tried to regroup to previous greatness was New Age Outlaws in 2000. Blech.

But I see a Team Canada building up. If they go full steam with a 4 Horseman Mapleleaf Edition, then they need to make sure there are at least 2 Canucks fighting them. The last thing you need is a xenophobic, patrotic, crowd booing every Candaian from Trish to Beniot out the arena for no damn reason. I have fond memories of a Raw prior to Survior Series 96 (yes that one) Furnas and Lafon came out and the crowd gave them a mild, hey haven't seen you in awhile pop. And one of them took the mic (Lafon?) and said I'm Canadian and proud! And people went ape shit. So I think Edge should stay away from the heels a little longer. Thats my lil' opinion anyways. I also think they should name Jericho's Horsemen "Canadian Violence" (somewhere SK is screaming "hey thats my idea!")

YOu know, it could be worse. Don't forget that just three small years ago Bossman and Ken Shamrock were the WWF tag champions.

Yes, Kurt and Curt would be PERFECT. Then, Curt vould bring in Brock Lesnar ( Hennig really did train Lesnar in MN) and always be able to wrestle a tag match without titles on the line (they're heels.)

The Stampede: Trish is manager/Women's Champ. Storm and Christian as tag team, Chris Jericho, and (for now,) Test (Val is from "Las Vegas".)
When Benoit comes back, he can kick Test out of the group for being "dead weight" revive his team with Jericho. No matter how you pair them up, you always have a credible team (teams) and up to 5 singles wrestlers at the same time.

Godfather and Val. Not great individuals, but as a team could be effective. They already have similar gimmicks.

Bring in Shannon Moore to tag with Hurricane.

Tajiri/Funaki/ Kaz (and Taka, when he gets back- SuperKaientai)

The Bulls : Johnny and Buchannan. I'm not saying they're that great, but you asked for teams of guys who are currently under contract.

Just cheesy enough to work!

I don't think it will help that much to have the Hardys back. They've pretty much been doing the same match since 1999, and I think it's pretty tired.

I say bring back The Thrillseekers!

Actually Jericho has already done that, he's won the Hardcore, European, IC, Tag, and both World Titles.
Also the WCW Cruiserweight and TV Titles.

And according to WWF.com, you can be a grand slam winner by winning the World, IC, Tag, and European Title or World, IC, Tag, and Hardcore Title. Which means Kane has won the grand slam also.

Thanks I forgot about Jericho! He should be reminding us this every Raw and Smackdown, just so HHH can see beat ya to that too! As far as the WWF's definition of a Grand Slam, I'll go with the Tiger Wood's definition of a Grand Slam, the World, I.C. Tag, and Euro is just more prestigence. Or maybe I'm just a Shawn Micheal's mark.

The tag division looks better than it did a month or two ago. At least they have a few more teams now. A few more quality teams and I think they'll be right back on track. What's up with the Island Boys I hear about from time to time?

Okay, here goes nothing...

KANE AND LEVIATHAN: "The Guardians of Hell"
I've been hearing great things about Leviathan from OVW. Perhaps bring him up and team them as supernatural crazies from the underworld. That would be killer. Or put Kane with one of the other monsters, Brock Lesnar or Ron "H20" Waterman. Regardless, these guys need to be brought up.

MAVEN AND AL SNOW: "Tough Enough"
It's so obvious...this would be a great way to get Maven on TV regularly, but admit that he's inexperienced. Put him with the veteran Snow, his real-life mentor, and Maven has an excuse for being a sucky wrestler (until he improves, then watch out!). Now is the prime time for the Maven push.

DDP AND VAL VENIS: "The Seven-Card Studs"
What do these guys have in common? They're greasy, creepy guys from the gambling capitals of the world (in character). Easily a great tag team with a cool gimmick, these guys could be the nasty womanizers of the WWF.

Thats cool. I was thinking about Maven and Al Snow last night, seeing Maven always getting his ass handed to him, with Al making the last second save.

Well, firstly, ECW never had the kind of exposure that WWE gave them in advertising before the PPV so hat explains why it was higher then they ever had before and from the way it was hyped for months on the net you'd expect it to be higher then normal w...
