Here.

Guess this answers a lot of questions regarding his return. Looks like he'll definitely be masked, but re-packaged a bit.
I like it!

Looks like they want to make it easier for him to talk. Woo, Kane with lips... that's weird

I like, I like. Still mysterious, still badass.

I just pray they bring in X-Pac to the PPV for a one-shot to be the sacrificial lamb...

Please no. Just let X-Pac go. Nobody wants to see him anymore.

Looks like you got your wish, evilwaldo. WWE and X-Pac have parted ways by mutual decision (a.k.a. ). No more ratty little sucka for Kane to kick around.

SPEAK TO ME MY KANENITES!

That's funky looking. I know the Warrior joke was made before in the thread but geez does that look like the old Warrior mask looked. Perhaps that's what happened to all those Warrior masks Vince never sold in the early 90's.

That new mask kicks ass. I can't wait to see him wear it. I wonder if his lips will be in tact, since be was a 'burn victim' *wink wink* and most people who have their faces burnt have no lips, or severely damaged lips. But I don't really care anyway, I'm being facetious.

BTW, I think the new mask looks like Spawn's mask, but without the black part covering Kane's mouth. But that's just me.

Is it just me, or does that mask remind anyone else of Batman? So now, we'll have the Big Red Dark Knight, avenging!

Nah...

But truthfully, it DOES look badass, and for once they're actually DOING SOMETHING WITH KANE...instead of "KANE HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO" (thanks Z!), we'll just have "KANE".

When he was a away he probably had "Plastic Surgery" in a storyline type of way.

They did smash his face,remember?

Two thoughts:

1. He can finally eat the damned BEEFAROONI.

2. It kinda reminds me of the mask Brutus Beefcake wore after the parasailing accident.

BUT it still rules. I think it's a step toward unmasking...gradually showing his face, bit by bit.

This should definitely go a long way toward improving his promos and in-match storytelling by allowing more expressions and eliminating the muffled garble he used to say.

You don't have to go that far to find a resemblance for the new mask though...remember when the Undertaker wore a Phantom of the Opera style mask for a while?

I like the new mask, but I'm kinda surprised. I really thought the WWE would do a plastic surgery/unmasking angle for his return.

It looks cool..
kinda a letdown that they give it away already though.
Maybe it's less important for the casual fan/mark but I thought we had some nice discussions here for his return and the look he would have.
And now he says on WWE.com that he will be wearing a mask and all and I was like 'oh...doh' and now I see it and I am like 'oh ..doh;;' I like the mask though.
Great to have him back soon..

Btw..Parts Unknown said:

In the WWE.com interview he talks about the new outfit being more edgy, and right away I feared for even more gauze because then he would look like the Brutus the Barber/Booty disciple.
Let's hope this is just a coincidence then

I like BongHitter's idea for the plastic surgery angle. They should have built up Kane's unmasking for weeks, and finally the big day comes, Kane removes the mask, and it's Kevin Nash! Kane was Kevin Nash all along!!!
And from then on, he's the Big Sexy Machine.

Naw, not Batman, not the Warrior, not Brother Bruti...it's so obvious that it's Zartan they're copying. Hope he has a hood to go with it.

And here I was under the impression that he wore a mask because he was BURNT underneath, or something. Apparently some of it has healed with the smaller mask? ;-)

Smackdown comes to us from San Diego, California! And so who better to welcome us to the show this week than Rey Mysterio, making his triumphant return from nearly a year off due to injuries (and a drug suspension, but who's counting?).
