I think Perfect could match up well against any of the top heels or faces in the wwf... that's what makes him so great... he's cocky... has the moves to back it up..... i dont care what feud he's in..... as long as it's a upper card or a lower upper card wrestler... i think he would make it interesting...

Maybe Goldust will finally go after Triple H for stealing his threads back in 1999.

Maybe GoldDust wants to get back at Terri somehow?

C'mon - it's just the WWF's way of letting the smarks know that they've finally signed Scott Hall....

The Goldust segment apparently did not air on cable systems, but instead aired (perhaps unintentionally) on the satellite feed to bars. PWTorch.com reader Rick Kemp writes: I went and saw the Royal Rumble at a local establishment. Once the show was over there was a Goldust promo. I missed the first part of it as I was paying my tab. What I did catch he was talking about getting revenge on someone from his past and that person knew who he was then all the cliché lines. I haven't seen this mentioned in any reports. It left the impression he is back for the long haul.

That competitor? It could be Triple H (yeah right), or...I can't really remeber who else Golddust feuded with in the past.

Didn't Terri make some smartass comment about Goldust on Excess a few weeks ago? I seem to remember something along that line.
If 'dust is back, does that also mean the return of GTV?

Hm, good point, one of Goldie's first big feuds was with Razor Ramon... could be an interesting (and completely out of left field) way to re-intro Scott Hall.

And as far as Dustin being in shape goes, I can see it. Back in his WCW days, he looked pretty decent. I think he's just one of those guys, like a Barry Windham, who gravitates naturally towards a belly, and has to work harder to keep it off.

Reguarding Perfect... I think he's got something to prove. How long was he juuuuust below the level of a true main-event player, only to get derailed by that nasty injury? It always seemed to me that his career has been one of those cases of great potential never realized. Maybe he's looking for a chance to finally live up to it, and the WWF is helping out? Hell, even if he doesn't wind up staying, his performance at the Rumble will pretty much cement him in the upper card of the WWA *or* the XWF... and being the big fish in a smaller pond isn't so bad.

There was no time for that, as he did it to Angle coming off the ropes, as Angle was poised for a backdrop. He DID do his little bounce before the move, but didn't lock his hands after landing the Perfectplex. Makes sense, since pinfalls don't count in the Rumble anyway, and it would have left him in a compromising position.

Granted, HHH tossed him out shortly thereafter, right after Perfect did his neck snap move to Angle, but ya know...

Well, I think Mr.Perfect is okay. I am not really high on giving guys like Perfect in since the WWF needs to start buidling on the new talent since in two years, Rock, Austin, Booker T, Taker and maybe even Kane wil leave. They need to push RVD, Edge and the younger wreslters more than giving Perfect, Goldust and other old school wrestlers pushes when they need to establish the next generation of WWF wrestlers.

I heard this talk with Regael and to say the least I haven't been all that impressed with his style of wrestling. He is great on the mic, but he has major style clashes with most of the WWF stars. Of course, fighting Tajiri and Edge could have something to do with it.

I'd really prefer to have the current roster as it is without any new additions minus Sabu, Shawn Micheals and Mick Foley back. I think they have a good core of wrestlers and don't need anyone else espically guys who can destroy the locker. Hint, Hint.

A Fan- Raw should be interesting tonight.

Hell, if nothing else, put him in Lawler's spot on Smackdown. I've always liked Hennig behind the mic, and think of the fun we could have with him calling Cole on his stupidass comments.

Cole - "Whattamaneuver!"

Hennig - "Michael, some people like to call that a dropkick. Who hired you, anyway?"

Best thing about this proposition: Not having to "PUPPIES!"

It was great seeing Mr. Perfect back in the ring yesterday. I thought he definitely looked like he belonged in there with the big guys, and maybe he should stay around a while. spf2119, I am glad to see that you have changed your logo so quickly after our horrible defeat. Damn you Hugh Douglas! You took away all our hope.

Perfect was totally awesome, as expected, and I was so glad they left him in there until the end, unlike Godfather who was chunked immediately.

I forgot how cool Golddust was, especially his entrance. They should definitely keep him around, too.

AND VAL VENIS! I can't tell you how surprised I was by his physique. I kept thinking, "If people made such a big deal about Triple H's condition, think of the props Val is gonna get."

I think Henning could be a huge asset to the company if used properly. He seemed at ease in the Rumble last night and in pretty good shape. Since he has been in the business so long he can have some great feuds with newer guys. And if he doesn't come back to wrestling full time, I agree with JimBob that he would be a great color commentator. I think he did that a little in 96.

The Big Show as on Excess doing Hogan and Savage impersonations, and Terri asked if he did Golddust. When he said no, she replied "neither do I anymore."

Thanks for the recap, I for one appreciate it. There's really been no good recaps of TNA that I've found (Meltzer's are ok sometimes).
