After Steve (Austin) Williams gets his personal life straight or if he ever gets out of his problems should he return to the WWE? Will the WWE ever allow Austin back? Will fans still respect Austin if he returns to the WWE?

Here are my thoughts, Austin should sit out a year and let the wound heals between him and Vinny Mac. We all know that Vince is a forgiving man(See Eric Bischoff etc.), and Vince will want him back eventually. Now alot of people are now saying that the Austin arrest went up very quick on WWE.com. The WWE may doing all this ripping on Austin to get him back in the WWE and have a somewhat good storyline.

My point is Austin will be back in the WWE eventually, Will you support Austin when he returns?

Never. He's a self-serving, wife-beating bastard who cares more about himself than the fans or the business. To quote him: "Whatta buncha CRAP."
Granted, I'll mark-out like mad the first time I hear the glass break, but then I'll remember why I have such a hatred for him now. He let me down, big-time. I know well that he owes me nothing, but I think he's a pussy for walking out like he did.
I don't support men who hit women in any shape or form. Especially when they hit them in the back.
I hope he stays home. Forever.

If he comes back and drinks his beer and whups some ass, he'll probably be as popular as he was the last year or so. People have short memories and SCSA has charisma. I would say that it's just a matter of *how* he is brought back that would determine how much the fans cheered him. People forgive the superstars for just about everything. I mean, be real, what did he do? he walked off in a huff and he clocked his wife. a "visible welt" isn't the same as him beating the crap out of her. i doubt that what he is alleged to have done will matter with the fans one second after they hear that shattering glass.

I wonder how the fans will react. Will he get mixed cheers and boos? Will it just be an uproarious ovation, the minute that glass breaks?

Based on what's been reported, Austin is coming off pretty bad. Nothing should excuse spousal abuse, no mater how famous and well-liked the person. And no matter how much the WWE tries to legitimize men attacking women. Doing it in a consequence-free, staged environment is bad enough, doing it in the privacy of your home is worse.

Should he be back? No, he walked out on the company and beat up his wife.
Will he be back? Of course. The return of Stone Cold means big big bucks for Vince. Simple as that.

I guess it depends on whether or not Jim Ross really does have any animosity towards him appearing with Ed Ferrara when he did the Oklahoma gimmick.

What?

Oh, not THAT Steve Williams?

Never Mind.

If Steve comes back as a heel then it might save the ratings, the reason i think this is because to some people Steve is a roll model and i can't imagine Vince allowing a wife beating baby face in his company and the audience is not that stupid to belive wife beaters are good guys.

Imagine the angle, though. I mean, the writers can't be so stupid as to NOT use this as a heat-grabber!

"I walked out __ months ago, because I realized that all you people are pieces of crap! You don't deserve to have a man like Stone Cold Steve Austin in your midst... You don't deserve me!"
"WHAT? WHAT?"
"I said... SHUT UP, I'M TALKING! I'm better than all you people... I don't have to put up with this crap..."

Heel Austin, with more of an edge.

That being said, if he so much as LOOKS at Debra the wrong way, send his ass out on a rail.

To be honest, HOW many people actually know what happened between Austin and Debra? I'm more than willing to bet, out of the people who buy tickets, probably about 15 or 20 percent REALLY knows about this stuff and follows it. I'm gonna' say the other 80 percent don't have a clue and or don't care. I think if he came back tonight he'd still be somewhat over.

As for me, I really have no use for him. While I'd like to see Austin/Rock one more time, I think Austin can rot in hell. I will not support Austin.

Heel Austin with more of an edge?

Here's a dose of reality, how about they bring him back as a beer swilling, wife beating Alcoholic Austin. Or, now wait! I got it, Stone Cold Steve Jailbait.

Come on, people. Heel Austin with more of an edge=crap. I don't think they should use any real stuff in his storyline, although I would guess they WOULD mention his walking out.

I say Austin comes back in about 6 months, gets in the middle of the ring and apologizes (or something close) to the WWE and fans for walking out. He says he was hurt by words the Rock & Vince said, but it made him think. He wanted to come back and make it up to the fans. But not in my kind words and it should be after his case is settled or whatever.

I don't think he should talk about the abuse thing. Most likely, he'll have Debra at his side to show that all things are forgiven. If he does touch on the subject, he'll say something about hurting those closest to me, or whatever. Then crack some Steveweisers.

Steve made Vince a billionaire. Steve made RAW one of the top rated shows in the history of cable. Steve will be forgiven and bought back. Fans will cheer. Smarks will forget that he beat his wife's ass.

What makes you think WWE will still be broadcasting by the time this blows over?

Based on the fact that rich people seldom serve time, get high priced lawyers, and basically pay their way out of discipline. Shouldn't be too long from now. He'll go to Anger Management and be on the first flight out to a city near you.

I don't see why it wouldn't be broadcasting then. Isn't RAW TNN's top rated show? Or is it Star Trek? I know it sure as hell ain't 'The Conspiracy Zone'. If TNN kept them after the whole XFL thing, which cost them money, they'll always have a home.

Personally, I wouldn't touch Mr. Williams with a fifty-foot pole at this point, or six months down the road, or a year down the road, etc. Remember, it took the better part of nine years for Hogan to come back, and he did nothing as heinous as Austin did. If he were to come back, I would simply hope it was for using whatever weight his name would have left to carry to put others over, much like Hogan has done since his return.

My god, the self-righteousness in this thread is ridiculous.

One (very likely drunken) incident, the details of which nobody knows aside from Steve and Debra Williams, does not necessarily make the man a god damned "wife-beater".

Read the original complaint. Debra said he'd never done anything like that before. I have never seen any sort of hint that he'd done anything similar with her, or his previous wife.

Something like that could EASILY have occured in a moment of loss of control, and it's something that could have happened to anyone in a similar state of mind, especially someone with aggression issues.

One very, very ugly incident is not abuse, people. Should it have happened? Fuck no. But, and I've said this before, I guaran-damn-tee that there's a good portion of people crowing and hollaring about this, calling for Steve's bald head on a platter, that've done something that they'll regret for the rest of their lives while under the influence and that made the people who knew about it look at them a little different from then on.

Get off your high horses. The air's thinner up there. It's bad for the brain.

Should he? Probably not. Will he? Yes. I knew as soon as Austin's music hit the night after he left. The place went nuts. Now, bare in mind Rock's speech after that incident may have more effect on the fans plus now the story is being carried by News Organizations like CNN. I think he will be back, will he be booed out of the building, perhaps.
