Just a quick check to see how our Prime Minister is seen in the eyes of the rest of the world. Is the following statement true:

Tony Blair is Dubya's bitch.

I'm not sure I particularly like England, but that isn't a true statement at all. For Blair to be Dubya's bitch, good old GB would have to have some kinda leadership skills, and we all know that's not happening.

Don't generalise. He is the leader of Great Britain. That includes Scotland, Wales and Northern Island. So surely you must share the hate around.

Blair isn't W's bitch; he's America's slut. He was just as far up Clinton's ass when Bubba was the philanderer-in-chief as Blair is now. It's just a little more important for the US and UK to be tight(no matter who the leader's are) now than it has been for a while.

As a point of reference, I and many of my friends were pulling for Blair to lose in the last election so Britain can join the rest of the civilized western world in trending towards the election of conservative governments.

Believe me, Blair is as right-wing as any Conservative. Why do you think the middle-classes voted for him? The Labour Party is just a name now.

Nah. He was a pioneer of "The Third Way" which is basically a code word for a liberal prancing around as a conservative a la William Jefferson Clinton.

Thanks to Rush, "liberal" has come to mean anyone to the left of Tom DeLay. Trust me, Clinton was a moderate, at best.

Sure, if your idea of a moderate includes tax increases, wacky liberal programs and bizarre incursions into policing states that have little to do with us(this is not intended to start another Iraq diatribe)

Well, according to George Michael, yes. Literally. Hey, I was cracking up at that video, too... can't blame him for not wanting to release it here.

Pres. Bush raised taxes and could be considered guilty of "bizarre incursions into policing states that have little to do with us," but I don't think he's a liberal. If I knew what "wacky liberal programs" were (dismantling Welfare, perhaps?), then I might be able to say Pres. Bush met your criteria for a liberal pretty easily. But 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

.

1. I will assume you mean Bush the elder, since W just gave us the biggest tax cut in since Reagan. Yeah, Bush 1 wasn't exactly the greatest, but he was better than Clinton.

2. In W's term we've gone one place. Afganistan.

3. Whacky liberal programs and ideas include signing the ICC treaty over the wishes of EVERYBODY, getting involved in the Kyoto mess, the gays in the military program that nobody wanted, etc. and so forth.

It's easy to forget this ten years later, but if there was no decisivie Republican victory in 1994, Clinton would've have been a one-term president. He ran as a moderate, but the first two years of his term were VERY liberal. It wasn't til he and his strategists led by Dick Morris were able to pioneer and perfect the strategy of triangulation that they were able to succesfully try to wrangle is presidency, take credit for Republican programs(like the welfare restructuring) and win a 2nd term(by garnering fewer votes than either Bush or Gore did in 2000).

Love the man, despise the man, but Clinton plated the game very well...

Ah, silly me. I thought that Clinton's idea was to tolerate the gays who already were in the military. But now I see that he was in fact supporting a far insidious "gays in the military program." Huh, when you put it THAT way, that definitely sounds like something that would undermine our American way of life. A gays in the military PROGRAM? Outrageous!! And yes, I recall that you were 100% right. Nobody wanted it. Nope, not a single person in the entire country, that I can recall, ever expressed support for it. Except presumably the gays in the military. But of course they don't count.

See?! Tony Blair is so non-descript that everyone has to go on about the US again!

At least people remember Thatcher, even if she was evil and stole my milk.

I think the general consensus in this country is the Great Britain is Americaīs bitch. Whoever happenes to be leading the respective coutries at the time is incidental. I mean, Blair was Clintonīs bitch, Thatcher (despite being able to beat him up) was Reaganīs, etc.

The fact that Liberals think Clinton was conservative and Conservatives think he was liberal probably means Clinton really did perfect that '3rd way' thing. What you call a Liberal masquerading as a conservative, I call a conservative masquerading as a liberal. Potato, Potato (that doesnīt read nearly as well as it sounds).

Clinton was liberal to the core- he started super-liberal with the whole social health care issue, and only tempered it "publicly" when it started to backfire. He was a terrible president, but he was a tremendous politician.
Yeah, Blair is W's bitch... but that is OK. W is Fox's bitch (Mexico) so it all works out....

Call me crazy, but when the liberals say that someone isn't liberal, I would take there word for it. I mean, Clinton isn't conservative, as the conservatives pointed out, but nobody is saying "nuh uh! He made concessions to big business and tore apart welfare."

He was, I'm telling you. I mean, those eight long, miserable years with the strong economy and the decreasing crime rate and the unprecedented peace and prosperity, I shudder just thinking about it. And I completely forgot about his "whacky" liberal ideas like "reducing global warming" (which could wind up taking money away from Our Brave CEOs) and "not hating the fags". Thank god the Supreme Court installed Dubya so things could get back to normal around here.

Jeezum Crow! It's been how long already? I really, really, REALLY think it's past time the leftists dropped this line. Gore LOST! Sweet Mother of Pearl! Get over it! Is there ANYONE who would really prefer Gore in the white house fighting terrorists right now? All he could do would be to bore them to death. Bush WON. The electoral college said so!
