As bad as I feel for the guy's loved ones, it's REALLY hard not to make the obligatory "Did his body hit the floor?" joke. Oops.

Was tempted to make a similar joke earlier, but I wasn't sure that other posters wouldn't find it to be in bad taste.

Now that JayJayDean's made it, I still find it fucking funny. Let da bodiez hit da flo, let da bodiez hit da flo...

And with all due respect, R.I.P.

Anybody know what killed him. I mean, if I had to guess, I'd bet it was drug related, but I don't know that so I can't say that.

Good music gone. What a shame. Well, ok, at least enjoyable music gone.

RIP

*Good* music gone? Who else died?

They haven't officially said it was an overdose yet because they haven't officially confirmed it was an overdose yet, but, you know, it's really about as mysterious as Layne Staley's death.

When young rock stars are just found dead in their rooms or trailers when is it *not* drug related? (excluding obvious suicides like the nirvana guy who's name eludes me now, i know it begins with a K)

This could be a rare case of a rocker dying of natural causes, but if it is drug related I don't think any jokes about it are bad. I have no sympathy for the stars who have everything anyone could ever want, and just throw it away with an OD.

On the END this morning I kind of got the idea from the conversation that it was an alcohol overdose, but I didn't hear the entire thing and am too lazy (and busy thinking up more jokes about DEAD people) to go to MTV.com and check it out. Plus, I'm REALLY bummed out that I'll never get to hear the Drowning Pool's blockbuster follow-up album. (Dang, there I go again.)

Well, no one confused the singer with a toothpick, but he wasn't in that bad shape. Nowhere near John Popper territory. (Then again, we said the same thing about Darryl Kile...)

And JJD, in earlier interviews, he was quite the drinker, so that's entirely possible. I had only heard fragments of the announcement over the radio, and they were in the middle of a Drowning Pool memorial marathon.

A Drowning Pool marathon. Is that anything like the "Tiny Bubbles" challenge from Mole 2?

A friend of mine who works on the Ozzfest tour told me that he got drunk, passed out, and choked to death on his own vomit.
