I actually liked Matt Hardy's heel turn last night. He was obviously upset that he didn't get the title shot, so he turned on his brother.

Now comes word that Matt Hardy could jump to Smackdown in the near future. I don't know if that makes sense but a possible reason could be that Bischoff isn't giving him any respect. Who knows what's going on with Matt.

This is another thing that is getting old fast...

On Monday, the RAW GM pisses me off. I think I will go to
SD...

On Thursday, the SD GM pisses another wrestler off, so they leave for RAW.

How long before the rosters are identical as they were, just on the opposite show??

I like the kind of competing that was done with the IC Title shot contract. More underhanded business stuff with less Joe Wrestler switching shows should be a goal.

By the way, if the GM was pissing you off, wouldn't you hang around to get him/her back?? Eric B is out with his Boyz beating up some poor individual (perhaps a guy in a wheelchair next?), and Matt sneaks out and gives one of the Boyz a TOF...

They tried this last year, and it failed miserably. Everyone figured it would be a hot feud with two good workers who took insane bumps. Alas, the feud culminated with a HORRIBLE match (with Lita as the special referee) at Vengeance last year. Boos rang from the roof of the San Diego Sports Arena during their match. Heel Heat Hardy is back...

Yep, it was a failure. Mostly they tried mat wrestling with a crowd that wanted to see their high flying moves.

I would really hate that, because it seems like they could build to a really nifty Hardy Boyz fued. After a little build, you could have a PPV, then one or both jump ship. (Frankly, I'd prefer Jeff - through him in with the CWs - ay yay yay)

But this time it actually can make a lot more sense and have a lot more heat. Before, Matt just seemed to turn. It was built up over a few weeks, but there was never really a reason given. Now, Matt has a perfect reason to turn. In the past few months, Jeff Hardy has been given the spotlight while Matt has been wrestling primarily on Heat. The new GM didn't even know his name. Jeff has been getting all the attention and everybody seems to have forgotten who he is and why he's important.

However, I think that Matt jumping to Smackdown would be a good move because then we could just bypass the Matt/Jeff feud. I don't really want to see them go at it anymore. The expectations are too high for a match with them. Their match at the PPV was a good match, dammit! There was good psychology and ground wrestling, things detractors of the Hardys say the guys don't have. It's just everybody was EXPECTING suicidal jumps and moves and high flying. Instead we get a solid, mostly ground-worked match. Anyway, because of the expectations of a suicide match, I think fans would generally fart on a match with them again because it wouldn't live up. So moving Matt to Smackdown citing his disrespect by Bischoff and his desire to get away from the "spotlight hog" Jeff would be a perfect logical reason for the jump and the heel turn.

Personally, I thought the line of the night was Matt's. "I asked for it first". I cracked up laughing when he said it.

Yeah, I liked Matt's whiny line as well.

I see it like this...Matt has watched Jeff climb the ladder because Jeff decided to live'"extreme". He had it out with Taker, did run ins and laid it all on the line and it worked, he got over with the crowd and, in the storyline, with management.

Now, Matt is trying to do that, too. He's taking the same road. And what could be more "extreme" than taking Jeff out in a bigtime match.

I like it and I agree that this feud could be money, if done correctly.

with the CW div focusing more on mat wrestling (with the execption of Rey, so that he stands out) I can see logic in Matt going for the CW div. He could feud with Shannon and Hurricane because his former friends are getting alot of spotlight as well. Since Lita isn't going to wrestle for a long time still, She could be Jeff's face manager and that could lead to tension in their relationship being on 2 different shows. Potential there for a feud with Jeff that would have to wait for a PPV.

No, there were reasons...Matt was fed-up with Jeff`s showboating during matches. Didn`t Jeff lose their cage match with the Dudleyz at Surivor Series because he went for a big high-risk spot rather than just escaping the cage? It stemmed from that...I thought the build-up worked rather well, it`s just that no one wanted to see it (and I doubt their "screaming girl" fans want to see it now either).

edit in: I'm sure all the team xtreme fan sites are all on full posting mode going crazy screaming "urahhhh NOOOOO urghhhh" (and that's the intelligent posters) and hating Bischoff. (lol). Truly if they (or mostly maTT) can't get over now on "Team Xtereme breakup take 2" they should blast them out of the company.

All I have to say is I just don't think maTT Hardy is that talented. I think he has awful mic skills, average ring skills, below average body language/ charisma.

I just don't see any appeal with maTT Hardy. I don't dislike the guy or anything. He's just a plain and plain gets. From his look to in-ring style to the vibe he gives out. See Fear Factor to see him at his worse in trying to act cool.

ONe of the major wrestling wonders of the world is why or why do females think he's cute. I don't get it. Edge sure he's a hottie. Jeff Hardy I could see the appeal. Rock is handsome. But maTT, I don't get it? It pretty much the feeling I have knowing many men bought Chyna playboy for her photos. Unless you bought it to confirm if she has a penis or not, WHY?

Which is funny, I have the same problems with Jeff...I don't think he has the look to rise above his current spot. He's just too shrimpy and has no muscle tone or build.

I'm interested in the prospect of Matt going over to SD because, if done right, there could be ONE HELL of a feud with Matt and tag team nemesis, Edge, who is now extremely over. I think it could do wonders to get Matt over as a heel, especially if they combined him with Benoit, Guerrero and Angle from time to time to take on Edge/Misterio/Cena.

THAT could make Matt a monster heel.

I don't like *either* Hardy, and throw in Lita for good measure. Neither are particularly good outside of throwing themselves around w/ reckless abandon, and even *that* I find uninteresting.

And I dread the day either of them get put in the Cruiser Division (although, they are probably seen as "above" the Cruiser Div., which is good for me!)

THAT would make me vomit. Hardy doesn't belong anywhere *near* Benoit/Angle/Eddy.

No offense.

Well, you don't seriously think that he's going to be a heel ALL the time on SD, now, do you? Or Benoit/Eddy/Angle? He turns, or they turn, let them feud, he might actually learn a few things. I figure it can't hurt all that much. Besides, isn't he the better all-around Hardy (when motivated, which this should do)?

You know what bothers me most about the whole breakup? I guess now we'll never know what Jeff was talking about in that weird "FATE REMAINS UNFILLED! JEFF HARDY!" promo.

I think that is a HUGE overstatement, I do. It definitely wasn't what the crowd wanted, and so they may have booed, but horrible?! Come on. It was definitely *not* horrible.

Well, considering those who may naysay Matt Hardy being placed in the same league as Benoit, Angle, and Guerrero, all I ask is--

WHY NOT?

It's like what drjayphd touched on, that perhaps Matt could learn a thing or two, and not only would that make him a better heel, Matt would become an all around better performer PERIOD. And in a business where it's a damn good thing to be an excellent performer, and to have several of them to utilize, why couldn't Matt Hardy ascend to the level of the Benoit's and Guerrero's? I feel that Matt's new heeldom should be a risk WWE ought to take, and heck, you never know. Look at Edge. Could you imagine that, after a successful heel run with Christian as a tag champ and an almost meaningless US Title run, that Edge would be on the cusp of main event status?

Alright when's the last time the Hardyz had a performance in the ring that wasn't completely phoned in and lame? And it has to be a match that didn't involve a ladder or some insane spots. I can't remember last time either Hardy was in a good just straight up match. Jeff and Matt had one against each other last December, and it was pretty lame. Either their spotfests are really starting to take their toll on those 2, or they just do them so much they haven't learned how to work in a non-gimmick match.

Look at every Hardy match. Here's how it goes. Matt starts. Tags in Jeff. Jeff gets his ass kicked for 5-10 minutes depending on the match, tags in Matt for the hot tag. Matt does some clotheslines, neck breaker drop, ddt, etc. Match does not end before the Hardyz do the twist of fate/senton combination.
