The way I look at it, the one surefire way to put some major heat on this impending match is to bring up HHH and HBK's collective past without alienating casual viewers. They've got the perfect vehicle in Confidential to show some things, they can go onto RAW and air out their issues, hell, Michaels could even show some older footage of Helmsley to embarass him, and make the point that if it wasn't for The Heart-Break-Kidduhhhh, Triple H wouldn't be where he's at. All it takes is context, and presenting a feud that can get us hardcore fans excited while at the same time, opening the breach to the past that could, quite possibly, turn casual fans into hardcore fans.
One of the reasons why I became a fan for life when I was younger was because I read about the past. I read about, and saw on TV and video, wrestling's history, which made me say, "Wow! And now look at where he's at!"
Examples-- Ted DiBiase and Jake Roberts from Mid-South, early 80s, Austin's first ever match (and I actually saw it on its original airdate back so long ago), the Best of Starrcade 1983-1987, yudduh yudduh yudduh.
Anyway, while WWE can't make HHH-HBK a ***** mat classic, thay can at least get it to above three stars if they tell a great story.
Let's hope they do.
David Crockett sez it best, folks: "Look at 'im! Look at 'im, Tony!"
Well, as someone who's been only been waiting for this match for what- 4 and a half years? - I'm hoping for the best.
Call me crazy, but I'd rather watch HBK vs. HHH over Rock vs. Hogan any day.
It might be great, it might be a big letdown, but whatever it is, it's a match I'm looking forward to. And to me, that's pretty cool, since Summerslam is still weeks away. It's nice that they didn't spring this on us just a few days before the ppv. Let us chew on it and wonder for a while.
As soon as you're born you start dying, so you might as well have a good time.
I say HBK wins via screwjob, which sets up a rematch at Unforgiven, most likely a Hell in the Cell, with Michaels taking a Pedigree from the top of the cage to the floor.
Great to see him back in the ring, though.........

Talk about a Holy Shit Bump!!!
I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok, I work all night and I sleep all day!
Some people actually think this will be good? A man(HBK) that has not wrestled in a match in 4 years vs a man (HHH) that seems to be always injured these days.
Don't mean to sound like a Smark but "Smell the Buyrates."
This is a bad move for the WWE

There's a couple things working for this match kids:
1) Street Fights can be bloody brawls that disguise workrate with tables, chairs, and blood. 2) HHH can work a decent bloodbath even after his injury (see HELL IN THE CELL with Jericho, a very watchable brawl). 3) SHAWN FUCKING MICHAELS. 'Nuff said.
Don't count them out yet, two of the best at entertaining should be able to put out a fun match for the casual and evil smark fans.

The MCG
I must have missed this. When did Jericho and HHH fight in a Hell in a Cell match?
Well it's not a movie, and its not even Tough Enough, but something I came across earlier today in the TV Guide sounds like it could rank right up there with all the backyard wrestling specials.
