Much has been made about the commentators over the years. And recently many have been critical of the commentators for both WWE and NWA:TNA. My question for you is, who would you like to see announcing today? The only restriction is that they must still be alive.
After listening to all that has been said... I still prefer the sound of my own voice.
Mean Gene and Jesse "The Body" Ventura, since they both have to be alive. Gene could always get a story over, and Jesse is Jesse... "Give me a break, Gorilla!"
"Young lady, in this house, we obey the laws of thermodynamics!" - Homer Simpson
The 3 man team of Joey Styles, Cyrus, and Larry Rivera.

Lord Alfred Hayes was nightmarishly bad, and Gene was never good with play by play. And I personally always got a "small time" vibe from Joey Styles, but that's probably just a matter of taste.
For my money, the best three man team would be Jim Ross circa 1989-1992 (playing the face broadcaster), Bobby Heenan circa 1991 (blindly supporting the heels), and Mike Tenay, '96-'97 (The professor).
I think a tandem of The Body and the Brain constantly antagonizing Jim Ross would be entertaining enough regardless of what is going on in the ring. But I do like Axl's choice.

Larry Rivera? SURELY YOU JEST! I have never heard a more unintentionally funny announcer, a guy who is so bad he is truly hilarious.
Anyways, I would have Joey Styles, Bobby Heenan, and Mike Tenay.
Actually, it's intentionally hilarious. The real guy sounds nothing like that. And he's absolute GOLD when commentating a bad match (which is often).

You're all so WONDERFUL. Why did they ever have to remove you from the continuity? You'd have made for MARVELOUS stories. You WILL make marvelous stories. And the FIRST story of the new world will be a story of REVENGE! -- The Psycho Pirate, Animal Man 23, May 1990.
RAW: Ross and The Brain. Smackdown!: Tenay and Tazz

I really REALLY miss Konnan's and Stevie Ray's commentary. "TO-NEE! I GOTTA AX YOU A QUESTION!" Although Stevie Ray would then follow some bullshit up with some insightful thought, which was really cool.
Anyways...

The wording in post 1 was a little unclear, but supposedly every PPV will be on the network as part of the subscription, except Wrestlemanias, but including Wrestlemania 30. Alternately:
