Okay, until now I didn't mind or even liked Triple H. But after that last boring, drawn out, no heat promo, you can put me down in the haters club.

The fact that Trips is a main eventer still given the mega push he's gotten over the past year puts paid to the "fans democracy" line the WWE has been peddling. As a face, Booker and RVD are infinately more over. As a heel, Lance Storm is more over. And if any of those last 3 guys had gotten half the push Trips has there would be absolutely no comparison.

Let me put it to you differently. Of all the ways they could have done that angle, they picked the most obvious and lamest way to finish it off. That, and after saying "F*ck you Eric" and spending 5 previous segments on it, it's probably the most nonsensical.

Think about it. This angle could REALLY have put over Test or Lance Storm. Then again this isn't the first time Trips has stolen a mega push out from under the feet of Test. Possibly the most sensical angle would have been to have Big Show do it, and it would have given his carachter direction to boot.

Hows about a hit from Steph that could build the SD Vs Raw feud?

Instead, we spend the episode peddling a match between 2 Kliq members that will probably end up the most boring match on the card, between 2 guys the fans really don't care one way or another about.

Please, get this guy off my TV!

I don't know if it's politics or just a general lack of vision on behalf of Vince that means that I can't seem to rid my screen of Triple H. I wouldn't mind as much if he was still turning in performances like he did before he was injured but trying to sell me a slow, non-selling face Trips is ridiculous. I actually don't mind the Micheals thing as much, at least it's burying this dead weight in the mid-card (for now at least), and if this oportunity for Y2J, RVD, Book and Brock makes the writers realise that we care more about them and that they put on more entertaining matches all will be forgiven. If not, if face HHH is the one to snap Lesners streak I'll be posting in caps myself.

You are correct, that last segment went too long and sucked the life out of the show. It should have ended with an RVD win and Flair/Y2J buildup. But, Triple H as a heel does make a lot of sense. He can get the max heel heat.
His reasoning along the lines of "tough love" makes me shake my head.

What kills me is that this is the same guy who looked like the second coming of Ric Flair, just two years ago. HHH was the SHIT throughout 2000. Don't get me wrong, there've been other guys who've come back from injuries and not really re-captured what they had before (Sting, for example). But HHH has gone beyond that, and become one of the WORST things about WWE TV right now.

Jesus, everytime he comes out to an anemic pop and JR goes off like Jesus Christ just showed up, I want to kick my TV in. If they really want to put everyone in the arena to sleep, they should just distribute bongs at the door.

Last night was too much. I knew he was going to be the attacker after he confronted Y2J, which he shouldn't done in the first place.

Ever since he came back in January, he has been a big disappointment. Sure, he won the Royal Rumble, and became Undisputed champ at Wrestlemania, but the buildup to Wrestlemania was overshadowed by his stupid feud with Steph, and his Wrestlemania win was overshadowed by the Rock-Hogan match earlier that night.

Thank God he's not doing DX again with Michaels, because that would've sucked. He's good as a heel, though, but last night showed why his promos were bad. Michaels had the better promo last night.

As I wrote in my own tread. The angle sucks. I agree.
But then again, don't blame it al on HHH. He doesn't write the crap, he perfoms the crap he's given.

I think it's like this:

HBK wants to wrestle, but only trust his buddy enough to wrestle save and not to leave a match paralized.

Now al they have to do, is think of a good story.

They could not come up with a good angle, so to have 'a story' instead of 'no story', they come up with this one...

Now I hope the match is worth it...

The one good thing is, that HHH is going for heel status...

Then, it WAS "all along", though, being a mystery that drove storylines and got Rikishi over as a heel.

THIS was a week long ratings pumper that wasn't much in doubt, done to set up a single match, then turn it into a fight.

I missed the show, so I don't know if it is bad as people say, but it's pretty easy to say that this particular angle is not as good as the previous one that involved Hunter attacking someone via car. Still better than "I'm gonna lay the Smackdown on his crippled ass" and "No, Austin, don't do this! AAAHHHHHH!!!!!", I think.

It was pretty bad. I thought the show was pretty good up to the point of the ending iterview. Now all I left with was the thought that they should have ended with the Y2J/RVD/Flair portion. The Michaels\HHH interview is midcard at best and should be relegated to the beginning or middle of the show. I think it would have worked much better there and not at the end of the show but of course HHH is a "main eventer" and has to be at the end. I love the guy and the things he has done but right now he belongs mid card until he can build his heat again.

Who Hit Stone Cold?: Rikishi, because Triple H told him to...
But Why, Jimmy? Why?: Because Triple H is a petty, petty man, and was frightened by Stone Cold's popularity. Rikishi only agreed to do it to help out his buddy, The Rock, who he felt was being held down by Stone Cold.

Who Is the Greater Power: Vince McMahon.
Why, God? Why?: Because Stone Cold's a little bitch, or something...and...uh...um... Well, there's really no reason. But dammit, Vince=Ratings, right?

Who's Driving the Hummer?: Eric Bischoff, but only implied.
Why?: Unsure, but since it was Nash (I think) who was in the limo...and it was in the midst of a Nash-Hogan feud, probably Hogan convinced him to.

Who is GTV?: Goldust...but he left and the gimmick was trashed.

Who dropped the cinder block on Stone Cold?: Triple H, but only implied.
Why?: See "Who hit Stone Cold".

Who raised the briefcase?: The Big Bossman, implied.
Why?: Because Vince told him to.

Who put Shawn through the window?: Triple H
Why?: Because Shawn NEEDS him, dammit! He needs him!

So, the Great Mystery Round-Up reveals that ONLY THREE Whodunnit Angles [Briefcase, Cinder Block & Who Hit Stone Cold] had assailants that MADE SENSE. And of those, ONLY ONE was really revealed and turned into TWO PPV payoff matches, the second of the two ending with Stone Cold KILLING TRIPLE H DEAD...but he recovered and continues to crap up our RAWs every week.

(wipes eyes) Waaaaah! Waaaaaaah! Waaaaaah!

Triple H isn't boring right now. Sure, he was in all the segments last night. The most I can ask is for him not to be boring. Plus, this is the third damn topic I've read along these lines. Man, repetitive "I hate Triple H" garbage is getting old. Thus speaks the Wiener of the Day!

(points to self) Is tired of bitching about Triple H all the time. Is no longer contributing to the hatred. Ir's a waste of our times. We're just going to have to accept he's a main guy and he can't wrestle as well. Period.

ZZZZZ... ZZZZZ... Huh--wha--? Oh, sorry. Just watching the HHH-Michaels promo from last night again. Must've dropped off for a sec. Dunno why.

In all seriousness, the one thing that makes this whole situation unbearable for me is that essentially, Triple H has been a tweener seemingly since the time he returned. The whole thing with HHH's reaction to Steph lying about the kid and beating on Vince at the renewal of vows on RAW was the obvious response, so it wouldn't have made ANY sense for Trips to act otherwise. But otherwise, (and this is a list) here's the reason why Triple H fails to capture any major face or heel heat:

- HHH cuts heelish promos against Y2J before WM-X8
- HHH brawls with Edge on SmackDown! not long ago, earlier this summer
- HHH shows weakness to Steph when she announces she's pregnant. He falls for one of the oldest tricks in the book, DESPITE the fact that he's the Cerebral Assassin AND in the past, has demonstrated that he's intelligent enough to stage the Austin thing, last night's thing, and used DX in 2000 as lackeys while he conducted his war against The Rock.
- HHH does the pose down with Hogan several times-- BACK IN JUNE.
- As a quasi-face, HHH rarely teamed with other faces, and likewise with the quasi-heeldom.

See, it just doesn't make sense to me. I'm just... ambivalent about HHH right now, because while I can't really boo him, I can't cheer him either. The writing team and HHH himself must decide whether or not HHH is good or bad. Period. Because if this version of HHH's persona was back in 2000 feuding against Cactus and Rock, HHH wouldn't have gotten over, Cactus wouldn't have gotten over again, Rock wouldn't have gotten over, and nor would Y2J or Benoit have (and I mean 'gotten over' to the fans, by the fans. I'm not talking about HHH actually PUTTING them over, you sillies).

That's MY beef as far as this HHH situation goes. Either make him the mega monster heel that galvanizes WWE or make him the ultra super face that'll eventually destroy the Un-Americans, Benoit and Guerrero, and Brock Lesnar.

(my response to above) It ain't Shakespeare.

Oh, well, the randomly selected wiener of the day is tired, and while I thought I'd hit up every single Forum, I got bored after five minutes.

I really ca't complain about Triple H. The fact that every move, every line, every minute of show is broken down and assessed as to how Triple H ruined or had a hand in it, is sad. I like the guy. I'm saying it, right now. The folks of Wienerville have bitched so much I can't hate him anymore. From this moment forth, I LIKE Triple H and I HATE Chris Benoit (man that pains me). I'm gonna' go play some FF2 on NES. Peace. (takes his ball and goes home)

It's not what I want or need. This was so painfully obvious after HHH's sleep inducing promo last week. I don't blame the Game for this turn of events. The writing is just too damn predictible. This was as obvious as Austin's turn at Invasion last year.

The biggest problem was alluded to above: Face or Heel? Well, make up your mind you big oaf. He really does need to lose some of the stienerroidextrabeef and move again in the ring. Work the knee to set up the pedigree was good, though formulaic. Better to have a formula match that MAKES SENSE instead of having everyone lie down for your finisher when there's no reason the shouldn't be backdropping out of it. Too bad Eric let him go in 95, he could have buried in wCw undercard hell till InVasion, thus avoiding the MegaSuperJesusPushToEndAllPushes. I mean, yeah, he was enjoyable when he was, you know, trying to kill people and using the Sledgehammer of Doom~! as a damn sledgehammer, the way it's supposed to be used. God, just, don't talk anymore H, go back whacking. Uggghhhh...Last night was brutal.

He clearly shouldn't have been in every backstage segment. And he clearly shouldn't have been given such a long monologue in an attempt to "emote." And why would he want Shawn as a manager? How would that help him?

Isn't he fucking the boss's big breasted daughter, and isn't he in the booking meetings and isn't he FRICKIN' TRIPLE H?!

I'm sure if he wanted an angle changed, he'd have it done by now.

The only solace I find in his boring persona is that he doesn't have the world title right now. Besides that, he's practically Hollywood Hulk Hogan (circa 1996-2000)

I don't totally hate HHH in this situation. Sure, the promo was bad. But to suggest that HHH's horrible promo wrecked the whole show is wrong.

I thought it was obvious that the person who attacked HBK was indeed HHH because he had the time to do it. He's the same guy that looked Austin in the eye and stood up to him, as a "man" and said that he didn't run him over. Why not screw over HBK like that?

I just think it was poorly written all together, but didn't take away from the show overall.

The angle itself was bad enough, and poorly handled last night. But in the process, did they have to give HHH yet another chance to make Jericho look like a punk? If Y2J is going to generate any heat at all, for cripes sake keep him away from Hunter!

PS -- Hunter should have either right off admitted the attack proudly, or somebody else (Booker & Goldust) should have been doing the investigating. Instead, we get, what, SIX segments of HHH?

Yo, Hunter, how about another speech about the merits of hard work and sacrifice? You da man! *cough*asshole*cough*

That one specifically might not have needed an announcer to step on it, but I can't help but think to the number of times Michael Cole himself has made completely hypocritical statements and gone unchallenged by Lawler, Mathews and Booker.
