Just pre-ordered it from Amazon.com for $35 bucks! It'll be $50 bucks in stores. This season is much better than the first, but still a little ways off from the pure hilarity that are seasons 3 thru (app.)8.

Some of the extras...

• Animated, Color, Closed-captioned, Box set, Dolby
• Commentary by on all episodes
• Interviews with James L. Brooks and Matt Groening
• Bart on the American Music Awards (with commentary)
• "Do The Bartman" video (with optional commentary)
• "Deep, Deep Trouble" video (with optional commentary)
• "Do The Bartman (Director's Cut)" - video
• David Silverman on the creation of an episode
• Licensing and merchandising review
• Emmy Awards presentation
• 3 Butterfinger commercials
• Still Photos (Easter eggs)
• Early drawings
• Full-screen format
• Number of discs: 4

And the episodes...

1. Bart Gets An F

2. Simpson And Delilah

3. Treehouse Of Horror I

4. Two Cars In Every Garage And Three Eyes On Every Fish

5. Dancin' Homer

6. Dead Putting Society

7. Bart Vs. Thanksgiving

8. Bart The Daredevil

9. Itchy & Scratchy & Marge

10. Bart Gets Hit By A Car

11. One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish

12. The Way We Was

14. Principal Charming

15. Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?

16. Bart's Dog Gets An F

17. Old Money

18. Brush With Greatness

19. Lisa's Substitute

20. The War Of The Simpsons

21. Three Men And A Comic Book

22. Blood Feud

Chuckc14, I can safely say that you just scored a great deal. This looks great.

It's somewhere in the later third of this season (I'd say somewhere around the time that the ambulance crashed and dropped Homer back into Springfield Gorge), that the Simpsons became the truly brilliant series that it was during it's glory days. (And, to be fair, that it still shows the occasional signs of...)

Counting the moments, myself...

I totally agree about the third season, but wasn't "Bart the Daredevil" (season 2) the episode where he gets dropped into the gorge?

Homer does get dropped in the gorge in "Bart the Daredevil."

I think the second season of the Simpsons is the best one. No bad episodes, and lots of funny quotes.

Probably about as good as me getting Oz on DVD (season 1) for about $40. Yay for eBay pre-sales, I guess.

Word has it, the commentaries on Do The Bartman and Deep Deep Trouble are just the sounds of PEOPLE SHOOTING THEMSELVES. Jesus.

I'll hop back (back) on to the bandwagon when Season 3 comes out, yep.

...the Butterfinger commercials?!?! Seriously, guys.

Go on... touch it.

No, no, no, I meant the "latter third" of this season, as in the last 33.33333333%.

"Bart The Daredevil" was the eighth episode of season 2 to air. Some of it was cut to make room for the "Do The Bartman" video premiere.

Can't wait for the commentaries, to me they were the best part of the Season 1 DVD. They said a lot of things that I didn't know about the episodes, especially, "Some Enchanted Evening."

And the next series has Mother Skinner, and I can't express how cool it will be to have an action figure of Agnes Skinner...

I wonder if Agnes will utter the great "Of course not, my bones are already half dust" if placed in Comic Book Guy's comic shop playset. That would rule.

Ahhh...you're right. My mistake.

If you have an hour or two to spare and you're a Simpsons fan, Click Here for quotes, little known facts, and other Simpson goodness from the IMDB.

If she had some STDs, couldn't they be transmitted by her milk? Since she blasted him in the face it could be a danger, and she wouldn't know if he had any open sores in his mouth which would have really made it a danger.
