Huh. Seems like a lot of fans who were told "just quit watching if you hate it so much" finally decided "okay, F this".

I got to see two St Louis indie wrestlers I know make it onto television: Savanna Stone (vs. Nia) and Mat Fitchett (vs. Bludgeon Bros.). Savanna is just shy of her 18th birthday and is still in her rookie year. Fitchett is a current AAW Tag Champ with Davey Vega as The Besties In The World.

Raw has been very good. Having a competent Women’s Division has done wonders for breaking up the show. The only complaint I have with Raw is that I miss Booker T.

205 Live has been really great now that it's more wrestling oriented. Rockstar Spud/Drake Maverick has been an interesting addition as the new GM.

Yeah, I enjoyed Raw this week. The commercial break/rest hold brought the Roman/Bray match to a screeching halt but the ending sequence was good. It's a shame they ruined Bray because he really does have good chemistry with Reigns and that could've been a great career long rivalry.

I thought this was the best match I can remember Bayley having on Raw. Cedric Alexander was great too.

I liked Alexa claiming Angle was sexist. It was a good chickenshit heel move to try and get out of the match. Although it was a little weird that Bliss made good points about it being sexist and Angle was like, oh well.

KO/Sammi was PPV quality last night. I think we are getting the point, everyone is giving a bit more due to Mania season.

If I'm going to be honest, during 2/3rds of Raw I was watching "Invasion of the Bodyslammers" on WWE Network and having more fun watching stuff like Razor vs Zombie Taker and home video of Repo Man repossessing a video store.

The stuff we are getting on Raw and SD is good, but man... I'm in that oversaturation mode again. I feel like we've been seeing the same tag title matches in variations for months now on Raw. We're going to spend the next few weeks seeing the Elimination Chamber opponents face off in one-on-one matches before seeing them again in the Chamber. Over on SD, Rusev Day is madness and I don't understand how they aren't riding him to the top of the show while it is hot. New Day are stuck backstage making fun of Corey Graves.

There's quality action but both shows need a refresh (beyond a theme song and chyron, Raw).

Meanwhile, Mixed Match Challenge has been a DELIGHT. A quick 20 minutes that has let every single person on the show show likable personality. 205 Live, now Enzo free (and apparently Vince-free, if you believe the Internet), is starting to resemble the CWC again. NXT is, as always, NXT.

So I guess I'm still enjoying plenty of what WWE is feeding me, it is just the shorter shows and the 1993 home video action. Maybe my enthusiasm for the main roster stories will pick up again before the nine-hour WrestleMania preshow (and yeah, of course I'll be watching the Elimination Chamber, I'm not a monster).

Oversaturation has definitely been a thing for me, trying to keep up with everything on television plus local indies plus New Japan. God help me when Lucha Underground starts back up.

You can look back at my history on this very board to know that I used to get pretty wound up about things. Nowadays I just try to let things be for the most part. Different fans like different things, you know? Never cared much about the numbers like ratings.

MMC - which probably deserves its own thread but oh well - was a really fun watch! but I sure didn't care to read the ongoing commentary and DEFINITELY didn't need Michael Cole reminding me every thirty seconds that Rusev and Lana were commenting. But it was pretty refreshing to have such a loose, one match show where it just looked like everybody was having FUN. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it, but if I'm home and I remember it's live, I'd definitely stream it (in full-screen mode) again.

This was episode 4, which shows how much I've been paying attention (and how much I've not been at home while these things are "airing") - is it worth my time to go back and watch any of the first three?

Braun/Alexa are VERY entertaining as a team. Braun giving her pointers on how to overturn motorized vehicles("lift with your knees") was tremendous.

I agree with PowerPB on the Alexa/Braun stuff. Everything they've done has been really entertaining. Same goes with Carmella teaching the New Day how to dance and Bayley trying to learn guitar. All of this stuff is better than anything we see on Raw or Smackdown and even better, the pairings actually make the women look equivalent to the men. Unfortunately you'll never see any of this stuff on Raw or Smackdown. It's all buried on WWE.com or YouTube.

Someone needs to let the WWE know that the cartoon words appearing on the screen as the wrestlers talk is incredibly stupid and needs to be stopped immediately.

When the 205 Live GM was announced, I let out a disappointed groan. But Drake has been making me like him more and more and he's grown on me.

The MMC is awesome...way way better than I expected it to be. It's like watching a really fun house show match every week. And the pre-match videos of the paired wrestlers are pretty fun too.

I get what they're going for with the words - it's very YouTube - but I'd agree that it's not great. What I do like, though, is between that and RAW's new chyron, they're finally starting to differentiate between the shows. It helps a lot, and it's a very welcome freshening up.

As for Drake Maverick, what I like best is that guy really busts his ass to get those dead post-SDL crowds up for 205.

The first one with Banks/Balor vs Natie/Nakamura was good.

The champion interferes in the #1 contender's match and causes a disqualification, so the authority figure announces that he'll face both of them at the pay-per-view in a triple-threat match.

This is such a well-known trope that Wikipedia actually announced the triple-threat match for Fastlane a couple minutes before Daniel Bryan could. I am not making this up.

It would be more interesting if it wasn't just plain font words (although using the jail cell bars for the Usos wasn't not good either). If they are going to experiment with this the one thing they should definitely do is some sort of "achievement unlocked" logo every time Xavier Woods does something important.

Yeah, I agree. Go big or go home on a concept like this. If they're committed to this type of styling, they need to go further.

The never-ending battle of authority figures continues; Shane tweeted that the winner of next week's Ziggler Corbin match would be added to make it a four corner match.

Who on earth is the face in Ziggler/Corbin, and also what have either of them done to warrant being in title contention? Didn't they literally just this week introduce a "ranking" concept that might be used as a factor here? Which they also could have used to justify both/either of them getting a title shot? Why am I asking stupid questions that obviously have no answer?

Also, and I mean this, fuck Shane McMahon's response to the crowd chanting for Rusev. If anybody deserves to be added to that title match, there's your guy.

Didn't Ziggler recently win the U.S. Title and then walk out the following day? Now you're putting him in a #1 contender's match for the WWE Title?

Rusev should have a rocket strapped to him and pushed while he's hot. He is selling out a CALENDAR that went for sale in February, for crying out loud. The top two selling items on WWE Shop right now, if you rank it by best selling, are the calendar and then his shirt. He is outselling Finn, AJ, Roman, even Queen Ronda (who is being outsold by Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder, if you believe their sales ranks).

Dolph and Baron don't belong in that match. Dolph won your second most prestigious title on your brand and then walked out, and Baron hasn't done anything but misbehave. There are easily five people more deserving than either of them.

Also, I'm a bit disgruntled by the whole Ronda thing. I'm glad she's around, I guess, but there has been no followup since the Rumble. Oh look, somebody came and pointed at the sign and hasn't appeared since. Yay? This is why almost everyone has turned on Brock, WWE.

I finally got to watch the match last night. That King Lawler sure knows a lot about ring psychology. For a fat, hairy, dumpy old man dropping fists in slow motion, he had the crowd, including me, eating out of that closed fist.
