He has just been released so they must think or know it is true. They didn't add the old 'wished all the best' comment at the end either so that says a lot.
The policy is wrestlers are supposed to tell WWE if you know you're being investigated for a crime. Enzo never told WWE, they found out about the same time everyone else seemed to yesterday, and that's that.
The general quality of 205 title matches have gone down with Enzo involved, but Enzo involved because WWE didn't like how the show was before him. The rest of that division would be in a lot of trouble if that first 205 Live show bombed and, even with that, I'd be a bit worried if you're a fan of those guys.
Having not watched he show regularly.....well, ever, but knowing WWE it feels like they'd find a way to go right back to Kendrick instead of giving somebody else a shot. (I guess they could go back to TJP?) I agree they'd go right back to Neville if he were still around and wonder if they'd try to "shock" us with his return.
Apparently they're going to introduce a commissioner of 205 Live as well, who will announce what they'll be doing with the title. Next week, so nothing going on at the Rumble.
I'd go for Austin Aries as commish, but he just rejoined TNA. Spike Dudley maybe? A returning Rey Mysterio?

Kendrick's currently out injured after Hideo Itami fractured his orbital socket via GTS, so it's not going to be him.

With Stephanie in charge of Raw and Shane in charge of Smackdown, surely the obvious choice for 205 Live Commissioner is Hornswoggle. Not to mention that he never lost the Cruiserweight championship.

This is indeed a troubling Cruiser-State of Affairs. But it really highlights the problem with resting the entire division on a single guy in the first place. He could have easily gotten injured or had something else happen, and they'd still have basically the same problem for the show. Adding a GM actually does address this a little - now there are two guys the brand is built on - but do any of us honestly believe that, even two days later, they have any idea who the GM is going to be? Although, the fact that they're getting a GM and that Daniel Bryan made the announcement makes me think that they might be separating 205 from RAW, which is probably a good idea all around. They need to do more stuff like that and change up their approach if they want any kind of result.
My suggestions? First, they've GOT to change up how they do the tapings. Absolutely nobody's that into wrestling at 10pm on a Tuesday. I was at a Smackdown taping, and that crowd is gassed by the end. I think it's the hour more than the length, so I'd start by moving 205 to the start of the show at 7pm. Make it a hot, action-oriented opener for Smackdown. It'll also let the killjoys in the crowd come in late if they don't want to watch it.
Second, they do need more guys. At this point in 205's span, we've seen just about every combination of these guys that they can make. We need fresh blood and new matchups. My suggestion is to change it to 225 Live (I know, they already lie about the weights, but this still gives them more options without sacrificing brand identity), and use it like a halfway house for some of the guys moving up from NXT. A lot of guys do everything they can in NXT, so they get called up, but immediately get lost in the shuffle of a main roster that's honestly pretty bloated already. This fixes two problems.
Finally? Let Drew Gulak Do Whatever He Wants. Seriously, that guy's great.
They seem to have no desire to do anything constructive with the division, so I'd have no problem with them just letting it fade away. Keep a couple of guys around who you can do stuff with on the regular roster.

Someone suggested Dean Malenko and I like that idea. Not enough to get me to watch the show ever, though.
Enzo was there because they hated him (rightly it turns out!) and also that he had a huge personality. WWE is set in the belief the 205 guys don't have any personality, so I'd assume the GM will be the loudest most famous person they can get to actually work 205 shows. Cruiserweights of the past would be fun but that's not all what they're going for here.

What about Dean Malenko in a brightly-coloured shirt?

My wife and I have been trying to figure this out for the last few days, and I have got to tell you that there are a lot of bad ideas. GM X-Pac, anyone? That's a real possibility. But I think that the best option they've got on lock right now would probably be Jamie Noble. He's a former cruiserweight champion, and he's charismatic enough that he took a walk-on bit with Seth Rollins and turned it into like a six month ongoing angle. Send Mercury out there with him to complete the gimmick.
But Noble's not the best best option. That would be, if they could possibly talk him into doing it, former crusierweight champion and all-time big personality Chris Jericho.
Edit - I've overlooked the laziest, and therefore most likely, candidate. They've already sent Goldust down to liven up the show. Moving him sideways into the GM slot is kind of a middle of the road choice, but it's got some potential, too, so if they went that direction I wouldn't be too upset.
Latest news bit I read (but don't recall where) is that the commish is a former wrestler who hasn't been seen on TV in awhile.
Ahhh here's the third or fourth-hand quote, courtesy Rajah.com:
Bryan Alvarez mentioned on a recent Wrestling Observer Live that he heard that the person who will come the new GM of the show is a former wrestler who hasn't been seen on TV for quite a while.
Except now it'd be LUCY uber alles... Nope..Daffney.. A few weeks ago on WWE.com they ran a bit that she was a dark match as Daffney, and she signed some sorta developmental deal I believe?
