Admittedly, I skipped the middle third of this show to watch the Dr. Who Christmas special, but I was pretty aggravated by this show. You're going to make these guys work on Christmas, for a fraction of the regular TV audience, with limited ad revenues (commercial-free first hour), and all you're going to do is put on a more or less by the numbers episode of RAW? Geez, this is a prime spot to take a chance. Not even, like, a big chance. Something mild. Have Bayley wrestle Paige for like a half hour (for example). That'd be new. Hell, take that first commercial-free hour, and do a single match. Shake it up a little.
WWE RAW Tag Team Championship New Champions: Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan Previous Champions: Cesaro and Sheamus 2017 Title Changes: Sixth
This is Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan's first tag-team title reign together as a team, and the first time any member of The Shield has won a tag-team title alongside a non-member.
For Seth Rollins, this is his third individual reign as a RAW Tag Team Champion. He won his first tag-team title alongside Roman Reigns on 5/19/13, and his second with Dean Ambrose on 8/20/17. As a two-time former WWE Champion and one-time former United Stats Champion, Rollins has won six titles overall.
This is Jason Jordan's first individual reign as a RAW Tag Team Champion, and his second tag-team title reign on the main roster overall. He also held the SmackDown Tag Team Championship with Chad Gable as a member of American Alpha, winning it on 12/27/16 in a match also involving champions Randy Orton and Luke Harper, Heath Slater and Rhyno, and The Usos. Jordan has become the first man to win the RAW, SmackDown, and NXT Tag Team Championships.
Cesaro and Sheamus' loss ends their third reign together as a team. They had held the RAW Tag Team Championship since 11/6/17, when they defeated Rollins and Ambrose.
