- (preshow) Rusev d. Big Cass by countout when Rusev laid out Enzo and Cass was checking on him - Cesaro & Sheamus d. The New Day for the tag belts when Sheamus beat Kofi - Sami Zayn survived 10 minutes with Braun Strowman - Rich Swann pinned TJ Perkins to retain the cruiserweight title in a 3-way - Seth Rollins d. Chris Jericho - Charlotte d. Sasha Banks 3-2 in OT to win the women's title - Kevin Owens d. Roman Reigns by DQ when Jericho attacked Owens, but then they were pals again
Thoughts: - Those matches may not be in the right order; I don't care enough to check - The women's match did a really good job of telling a really bad story. Sasha lost the first fall, tapped out with 2 seconds left in regulation, and tapped out again in OT. - Zayn/Strowman told a bad story too but also went about it in a garbage way, with Foley threatening to throw in the towel to protect Zayn despite the lack of blood, brutality, violence, etc - This show was on my TV but I can't say I paid close attention to much more than the end of the women's match, and once that was over, I went and saw a Star War
Very mediocre show with some good sprinkled in. Sasha's stupid for tapping with 2 seconds to go. But I did like the story they told with Charlotte homing in on the leg with 6-7 minutes. That was good. (but why not start with it? Meh..wrestling)
Tag match was great. Cesaro was once again on fire. Jericho-Rollins was just there. Nothing bad but the match had a lack of motivation so it seemed like they went through it without the crowd (or they) really caring.
Zayn's hope spots were okay but seriously, Strowman oughta kill Foley for stalling for two minutes.
CW title match was good, but I --hate-- TJP's leg lock. I mean, it's a solid move, and it was good in the CWC when you had to try it all to survive. But as a regular finisher it doesn't work for him. Neville destroying all was sweet.
Owens vs Reigns was okay, mostly thanks to Owens with REigns selling well. But then of course..punch! punch! drive by-another drive by! Ugh. Jericho causing the DQ made sense (after all, Owens did give him a nice scarf!) The post match stuff was anti-climactic.
Yeah, the Ironman and the tag match were about all that was worth watching, and of the two I think I liked the tag match just a bit better. Cesaro's great, and weirdly, Sheamus is better as face than a heel (or at least, a "face"). And while I'm glad that New Day beat Demolition's record, it was time for them to drop the belts.
Oh, I almost forgot, but I think this match marked the first time since he got back from the shoulder injury that Cesaro did the corkscrew pescado. I missed that one.
I got this PPV for free and didn't even bother with it. I hate the hot potatoing of the women's belt. Sheamus is a black void of suck. The main event was WCW 2000 level stupid.
The Cesaro/Sheamus tag team has seemingly accomplished its ultimate goal: Tricking the fans into cheering for Foight Fella again.
Women's match was the only one I was really interested in seeing and the finish was a serious downer. My response was literally "Are Vince and HHH aware that Charlotte's not gonna fuck them?"
You guys don't know how lucky you are. If there was nothing posted by the time I got home from work, I was going to recap. And oh man, was it going to be bad.
This PPV wasn't bad, but other than the women's and tag team matches, it was pretty dull. The Strowman-Zayn match(?) was just baffling. I'm not sure what it accomplished, and if it doesn't end with Strowman eating three heluva kicks and getting knocked the fuck out, I don't know what to believe anymore.
It's the most important meal of the day.

Not to be overly cynical, but.... well, I'm going to be overly cynical. The ONLY big-ticket World Class DVD they could put together would be something that chronicles the life and death of the Von Erich family.
