SPOILERS IF YOU DON'T WATCH TV OR READ NET NEWS AND GENERALLY LIVE IN A CAVE!

Ok... Huntress is not a mafia princess in this series. She is the daughter of Batman and Catwoman.
I ask you, will you as a collective group of nerds go "Comic Book Guy" on this and bitch about it left and right?
Or shall you join me in staring at the Huntress?
Man I hope this show doesn't suck... Smallville is already succesful, with this and a couple other succesful live action comic shows (and no, Mutant X doesn't count [for ANYTHING]) we'll be on our way to a Howard the Duck series and/or a Booster Gold Comedy Hour!

EDIT~! Made it easier to read

Well uhm, actually the Huntress WAS the daughter of Batman and Catwoman until they had to erase all that stuff in Crisis.

So oddly enough the show is being more true to the character than the comics are.

Nah-uh! Anything post-Crisis in DC is the "real history", even though it's all needlessly complicated in the first place. *Sigh* At least they didn't fuck up Spider-Man...yet.

IIRC, look for WB to start dropping generic launch promos for BoP in early August. I still have to look at the upfront presentation, so I have yet to judge.

I've seen one short promo so far and it looks like it has a good chance of being my new guilty viewing pleasure.

Usenet was good to me last week, so I've already seen the pilot. No major spoilers or anything, but as a standalone show, I think it was fine. As a comic book geek, I didn't like the hamfisted way that they tried connecting it to full on Batman mythology. I also hope the super happy "Saved By the Bell" ending with the girls will be cut before it's actually aired.

It was better than Smallville, imho. That being said, I'm probably not going to watch it regularly as they seem to be doing the "monster (meta) of the day" crap that I got burnt out on watching Buffy with my girlfriend.

You are aware that Sherylinn Fenn's part (don't want to spoil who she plays) in the pilot is being re-shot with Mia Sara in her place, right?

BTW, Smallville has moved away from the monster-of-the-week formula that Buffy stole from X-Files. :)

Yeah, I was aware of Sherylinn Fenn leaving. Made me a popular guy on WinMX the last week, that's for sure.

I'll admit that I haven't watched Smallville's latter episodes. I wasn't impressed with what I had seen in the early ones, so I just didn't come back. If I'm going to see that many car crashes on episodic television every week, Eric Estrada had better be involved. But I've like your opinions here and at 4 color, so I might give it another shot.

Do they still have Lana wearing the Kryptonite necklace? That was just fucking creepy.

There were two huge standouts in the latter half of the season. "Zero" which was a Lex episode that basically investigates his misdeeds during his younger days and another episode I can't remember the name of where Whitney's father dies. The final five minutes of that show were incredibly emotional and really showed off the cast's acting chops.

LOL. No, she's not wearing it. I liked the metaphor of the whole thing, though. He literall got "weak" when he got close to the girl of his dreams.

But it WAS printed in teal which is damn hard to see on the black background. Light blue is easier to see, I believe.

It's not up for discussion. Ugly is ugly and annoying is annoying.
