Man, this is roster is THIN. Please make some trades now. Please.

I really enjoy what they’re doing with Ambrose and Ziggler. I appreciate how Ziggler is making unwise decisions to overcompensate for his own perceived persecution and for Ambrose telling him he wasn’t that good. He’s trying too hard to prove himself, and Dean doesn’t give a shit.

Nice, they have American Alpha doing squashes. Good, no need to have them burn through all the tag teams in a month…oh. They’re gonna burn through all the tag teams in one match, aren’t they?

Eva Marie is going to be your first SDL women’s champion. And she’s going to somehow do it by doing no wrestling moves besides a cover. Tell me I’m wrong.

I’m no fan of the Carmella character, but I feel sooo bad for her that she comes out to deafening silence. One drawback to doing all live shows: RIP crowd sweetening.

RAW seems to have drafted the good video production team.

I love little production touches like the camera view looking over the shoulder of a camera person.

I got trashed on other boards for suggesting SD needs help. So, I am on your team. Ambrose/Ziggler is the feud I want to see continue after SS. I wonder if Dean is setting up for a heel turn after this show and that brutal Austin interview.

Eva will be the JBL of the Smackdown women's champ. Becky deserves better than this. Bayley needs to be on this roster.

I want to see how long they can keep this Eva thing going.

The roster is THIN, but that's when they need to build people up into stars. I'd rather see them build up a few tars instead of bringing a few Raw people over. Work with what you have and I bet, if they try hard enough, they can make it work.

Man, the real problem with building stars on SDL is that there's hardly anyone to use to build guys up. The show's practically at zero. How many (more) jobs can Bray Wyatt do to get guys over? I mean, you do have established guys like Cena and Orton, but they've managed to tie them up in feuds against guys who don't need any kind of rub from them. At least they seem to be positioning Eva Marie against beloved babyface Becky Lynch, because that's the only way the angle works, but after the hatchet job that was the Natalya angle, Becky's really lost a lot of steam. And I'm shocked at how poorly Carmella's being received, considering how over she was in NXT, but maybe letting her do stuff might help her get over.

Okay, no, you know what? The other problem with this show is that it's Boring. If you've got a thin roster that needs you to make new stars, you can't play it this safe. Shake it up, already.

Anyone else find the camera angles odd? I'm guessing they're doing it differently for the sole purpose of being different, but I don't think I like it. The side shots in particular -- the angle seems WAY too low to me and it's not a hard camera, I don't think. How are they even doing that? It seems to change angles all the time. Do they have a row blocked and a rolling camera, maybe?

To be fair, I'm familiar with other boards where they probably thought Rowan was the best worker in that main event.

I don't mind squashes at all. Establish new people's repertoires.

Carmella needs context. She probably needs Enzo and Cass.

I don't think I could have possibly been less interested in Orton vs. Del Rio.

I can see both sides of the coin here. I think the main event on SDL looks pretty good, they just have to give Ziggler, Ambrose, Bray and even Del Rio a chance. I think it will also help when the Cena/Styles feud is over because those guys are more valuable in two separate feuds making two guys look good.

I'm actually pretty impressed with the women on SDL. Raw seemed to have the better roster of women but SDL is using what they have better. There's an interesting gimmick with Eva Marie and a feud with Becky. There's another whole feud with Carmella and Nattie and now they've thrown Alexa Bliss into the mix too. Isn't this what we've always wanted with the women? Smackdown actually has multiple stories and even intertwining feuds. I love Charlotte and Sasha but digging in their heels with just one feud until one of them is shuffled out for Nia Jax is the type of booking that has made the women's revolution a failure.

All that being said, they do need a replacement for Shelton Benjamin being injured and a tag team of some sort. So I do think they could use a Cesaro/Zayn type and maybe a tag team call up from NXT. I thought maybe the tag team division could improve by teaming up singles wrestlers but I can't think of any good pairings. Style-wise I'd love to see a Kallisto/Crews tag team, but I don't think their characters work.

If SDL's thin roster means more TV time for Heath Slater then I hope their roster stays thin.

Haha, good point. I guess mainly what I meant was a lucha wrestler with a non-lucha wrestler is a weird look.

Just give Crews a mask. Then they can do Killer Bees-type switcheroos

But then how is Crews going to do Twin Magic with Rowan?

I was at SDL and Eva actually got some of the best heat of the night. So whatever they're doing with her is working. Crowd didn't really know what to do with Dean/Dolph, but kinda turned on Dolph once he made the super kick.

Speaking of which, right after the cameras turned off, they filmed a KFC commercial with Dolph, dressed as Colonel Sanders, beating up Miz, dressed as a chicken. I'm not kidding.
