OK, order restored.

Please give Anderson and Gallows a name already. Here, I got one - Buddies Club.

That six-man was on fire. I'm beginning to appreciate the slow-burn of the story after being used to years of no story. I'm loving that characters are acting like characters.

That wicked powerbomb through the table by Reigns could've been bad news because he was throwing AJ blind. Thankfully, it worked out.

I'm happy that Enzo is well enough that guys can go out and have a little fun cracking jokes. I fear that Vince watched Cass close out that eight-man tag, had visions of him as world champ and was like "K, break up the team. Now."

Ambrose needling Steph was super.

You askew my mirror. I askew yours.

The Roman Reigns - AJ Styles feud has been excellent thus far and tonight's main event really saved a show that was surprisingly plodding.

Rusev vs Kalisto should make for a great series of matches.

Swagger and Ryback were both on the Battle Royal art, but not in the match. There has been rumors about Swagger for some time but now we have a set of Ryback rumors just in time for cut season.

I care more about that stupid potted plant, that was quite nice, than either Ambrose or Jericho.

Emma and Becky had a nice match that people didn't know what to do with since they have been conditioned to only care about Women's matches that feature a title holder or pudding.

The IC stuff seemed like a foregone conclusion and the Tag stuff seems undecided.

Tyler Breeze wins, because he is the best person in this shit story or WWE wanted to stop the Breeze narrative??

I read through a Raw recap incredibly fast, wondering if it was only half the show, when it turns out that nothing actually happened on the show.

Agreed on the 6-man. Only watched the YouTube clip of it, but it has some of the most interesting, completely-making-sense storytelling I've seen in WWE in ages. (Owens/Zayn is cool, too, and even Ambrose/Jericho to an extent). I love how Gallows/Anderson actually have a motivation that isn't just "We're Bad Guys" and are actually looking out for AJ, with AJ being the babyface.

Also, AJ's kicking ass in the main event. I know he's just first in line for Roman Reigns, but he's proving his worth here and hopefully it winds up being like what they did with Benoit back in 2000 or Foley in 1998 where he's later given a run. Even I was one of those people who never saw him as WWE main event caliber back in his TNA days, but his growth and development in recent years has blown me away. Give that man a belt.

No kidding! That match got my attention, as well as the lovely Mrs. whatever's. She doesn't pay attention when I watch NXT, but she remembered Emma's initial Santino run, so her first reaction was, "That's Emma?!?", followed by a gasp at the slap from Emma to Becky. She's convinced that that was more real than not, and that Emma genuinely doesn't like Becky. The hairstomp lifts did little to dissuade her.

Flair looked terrible in that backstage segment with Steph.

The Stephanie thing is beyond laughable at this point. When the segment with Dean Ambrose came on, I thought 'I wonder how she is going to cut his nuts off'. And sure enough, she did. That segment could have been done without her and still been effective. Then, later in the show, she 'babyfaces' on Charlotte and Flair. Her character is all over the place just puts a pall on the show.

One other thing: The Usos don't get enough love for what they do. They are tremendous in the ring and always deliver. I always appreciate good utility guys in wrestling and the Usos, no matter what position they are in (against The Shield, backing up Cena against The Wyatts, etc..) they always entertain and put on a solid product.

Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"

Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"

Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"

Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."

I am not sure if AJ or Roman is a heel or a face. I like it. Becky is a very close to jobber status. Nat gets air time, but not Sasha? Bullshit. Flair needs to go.

Jericho is a sick man, smashing that plant over Dean's head when he knows that Dean grew up with a father who was addicted to gardening. If he pours a watering can down Dean's throat next week, I don't know if I can keep watching this in good conscience.

(I really like "YOU STUPID MAN!" heel Jericho, by the way. I don't know that I like the feud if just because it feels like the further adventures of Dean Ambrose: Face Of The Company The Company Forgot, but this version of Jericho who lets people make fun of his goofy clothes and uses "IDIOT!" as the single most terrible putdown in the English language is fun.)

The Usos are among those most underserved by the lack of promo/backstage time that hurts most of the roster. They more than carry their end of tag and multi-man matches, but it seems like we've never gotten a sense on Raw of who they two of them are since their debut, when they were basically different characters. They seem like pretty cool guys, and they would definitely benefit from even just a little bit of time where they could get that across and be something other than Roman/Cena's only friends.

Similarly, the Vaudevillains need promo/package time ASAP. It's crazy that you'd bring these two up with such a high concept gimmick and not really introduce them at all, while giving the Colons weeks of essentially the same package that says almost nothing about them. English getting to briefly sing was a start, but give people a chance to actually get what the gimmick is (and also don't book them in a Raw spotlight match and have Gotch take the beating instead of getting to do his crazy offense, which would also go a long way to selling the gimmick.)

Is Bubba Ray's in-ring shit-talking (not to be confused with calling spots), which has shot past Rollins as far being picked up by the mics, his audition to replace JBL? I was annoyed by it a few weeks ago when he kept saying "HAH? HAH?" like a poor man's Scott Steiner, but I actually liked it this week, since he was doing the heavy-lifting of explaining how the Dudleys would co-exist with time traveling cartoon heels.

Roman's vest update: he was back to the regular plain black version this week, which means, in canon, Roman's vest "powers up" and glows gold on PPVs. I hate how it looks (vs. Rollins' glorious PPV attire), but I am willing to accept that Rollins and Reigns each have super-powered, Voltron-ass battle armor that powers up, and Ambrose presumably also has a set that is in the trunk of somebody else's car somewhere.

I am confused and frightened by Roman's character motivations basically making sense. This is the right angle for the wrong guy, but I guess that's better than the wrong angle for the wrong guy, which has been standard operating procedure.

The end game at this point seems like Gallows & Anderson getting tired of Styles refusing to go all-in and dumping him to put their allegiance behind someone who will (as opposed to working for a secret mastermind), which, again, is strangely logical in all the ways that nothing else has been in the top angle since WrestleMania 30. How about that.

IF the Ryback newz is accurate, he really is "dumb as fuck". I can't imagine a worse negotiating position than his. "Uhhhh, hey boss. So uh, I see that you have a lot of new talent on the shows recently and uh, that's cool if you like that sort of thing, but I'm The Big Guy and my contract is almost up and uh, I want more money." What value has he ever brought to the table? What sparks of greatness have we (collective we) missed? His stuff with Punk is just weird and borderline obsessive. I get that he doesn't like the guy and probably was embarrassed by what Punk said about him and wants retribution or whatever, but it's been so long now and he's still holding on. It's like that kid who does one thing to make the cool kids laugh so they let him sit at their table during lunch but instead of growing from that foot in the door, he keeps doing that one thing that got a laugh 2 years ago and the cool kids are all looking at each other like, "why did we let this dude sit with us?" I picture him finding reasons to walk by HHH and Vince after his match, waiting for eye contact so he could say, "Did you see what I did for my entrance? Wasn't that funny?" But they avoid eye contact every time or remember something important that needs their immediate attention.

Ryback's in a "Now or never" position. I don't blame him for seeing if he can get a better deal, because right now he's treading water until his contract is up and he's been in a better spot before.

There's a whole other pay side we don't see, where Ryback is probably getting paid significantly less for working the pre-shows of PPVs where you probably wouldn't be as happy as he is if you saw the checks he was getting.

Unfortunately for Ryback, WWE has signed a ton of new people and promoted others and there's just no room for him like there was in 2012/2013 at the top. He was already the lameduck challenger for Cena in 2013 and it's just a rerun if they do the same with Reigns 3 years later.

I think he's better off either going to Japan or ROH or something, or earning a paycheck in WWE in a Dolph Ziggler-like spot like he's been doing.

I really want them to transition the gimmick to two guy who are beer snobs with ironic twirly mustaches. Imagine the heel heat from the Budweiser/Miller Lite crowd.

Was there ever anything done to explain them in NXT? I mean, what is there to say about them? It's not that I disagree with what you're saying, it's just that I don't know how to go about doing it.

The best I could imagine is if one of the backstage nerds were to ask them to explain their aesthetic and they just got insulted them and walked off and actively refused to explain it.

It's a good question, since it really is the kind of high-concept gimmick that almost never shows up in post-New Generation WWE. Those black-and-white vignettes they did a few times in NXT would help, as I wonder how much of the crowd who isn't familiar with them gets that they're supposed to be Old-Timey Circus Wrestlers (does that still show up as a trope in cartoons today like it used to in Bugs Bunny cartoons?).

I want them to be rewarded for basically being the Mr. Show Megaphone Crooners Sketch: The Wrestling team, but it's a tough sell since the lingering questions is if we're supposed to think they buy their own gimmick, but I think a little bit of help from production would make it easier to get them over the hump to where people can just accept that they're funny and bring something different to the table.

That we're deep into 2016 and have yet to have an Evil Hipster gimmick on the main roster is probably the most damning indictment of how far behind the times Vince and even HHH must be. The easiest cheap heat gimmick in the world and the closest we've seen is Daniel Bryan being called a nerd by Cole, CJ Parker on NXT being an environmentalist but with a 1967 version of the gimmick and Vince, JBL and HHH trying to drag Punk for looking like a normal person.

Oh, what might have been if Corey Graves could have come up as the New Brooklyn Brawler.

I think the thing that did the most to get them over in NXT was that black and white vignette about "those dastardly Lucha Dragons!". Though it was also responsible for their face turn so I dunno if that would work so well vs New Day...

According to him, and a lot of people, pay is down under the Network model as opposed to the PPV model.

Also he's been trying to trademark "Feed Me More" and "The Big Guy" at the same time as them so they're unhappy with him wanting to own part of his own character.

They don't need him, he doesn't need them, and New Japan has a few openings for big Gaijin with all the Bullet Club signings so he'll be fine.

It was stupid to piss them off and rob himself the chance of taking the Albert/Gallows/Christian Cage route where he laves, gets better, enjoys a little freedom, and comes back when he wants to and they do need him.
