Much more logical and consistent episode this week after last week's uneven entry, with no weak scenes. I especially enjoyed the High Sparrow's showdown with Jaime.

Not especially impressed with the casting of Euron (book Euron is a wildly charismatic, handsome pirate - think Jack Sparrow, except pure evil), but his snappy one liners made up for that.

I think you had to figure that Roose Bolton was getting offed as soon as the Maester delivered the news, and of course Walda and the baby were doomed. Ewan Rheon's facial expressions while he feeds them to the hounds are award-worthy. I don't think book Ramsey can off book Roose, but Rheon's Ramsey (who is more diabolical than the book version) isn't out of place stabbing his dad. Sad that another great actor is off my TV, though - Michael McElhatton's quiet menace was something to look forward to.

Good work from the makeup team to have Melissandre appear just a bit more harried and aged to follow up from last week.

Was that a soft heel turn for Tommen?

I miss the Dothraki Bros. I don't miss Daenerys.

Cool that they established that Bran can now see the past, even though what he saw wasn't particularly useful (or was it? The whole Hodor/Wyllis bit could be foreshadowing). Good setup for the Tower of Joy stuff that we saw in the trailers. I also appreciate that they haven't forgotten about Meera and the fact that her brother is dead.

I'm surprised Alliser Thorne survived this episode. Maybe he gets to fight again (ironically side by side with Jon and Tormund, possibly #1 and #2 on his all-time hate list), or maybe Jon just beheads him next episode.

Top three lines of the week, in no particular order:
"I do not make dwarf jokes." - Varys
"I'm here to help. Don't eat the help." - Tyrion
"I am the storm, brother. The first storm and the last. And you're in my way." - Euron

Fuck the Iron Island shit. I don't need another crazy religious guy seizing power, we have that in King's Landing. The High Sparrows speech hints that he seems to be in the World ruling business now. Tyrion was awseome. His speech about asking for dragons as a child was sweet. One of the Dragons will save him at the end. Darth Mountain continues to rule.

Jon being back is well earned. At least after sitting through another baby death. Why do I think Bran's three eyed friend brought him back and not Meslindra. Davos was brillant all over the place.

Euron Greyjoy is as religious as Jamie Lannister (so, not at all). Aeron Greyjoy (youngest brother of Balon) is the religious Greyjoy. The whole Greyjoy storyline could be left out entirely and the show would benefit. Unless of course they have some super-crazy awesomeness planned at some point, and that would be the first interesting Greyjoy angle ever.

Preach it, so glad he didn't go down with Stannis.

I'm not sure if the guy gave his name, but he said he was sent by Theon's sister.
