I was batting around headline ideas for this thread yesterday (this was not one of them) at lunch and never settled on one and then forgot about this altogether, but that is sort of my relationship with TNA.
This company has had such a marvelous existence. It's only fitting Dixie loses this company to the Nazis after making a bad deal.
Lance Storm offered up the suggestion that WWE buy TNA's video rights including paying for continual rights to future broadcasts in order to give them enough cash to continue operating. I can't imagine Vince would have any desire to buy the company, I'm not sure they have even half-a-dozen performers they'd be interested in acquiring, but they can always use new network content and I'm sure they'd like the footage for an AJ Styles DVD. Christian & Sting would be two big additions as well.
Although the thought just occurred to me... Would Vince buy TNA purely to spite Jeff Jarrett?

There is plenty to get if Vince buys the rights to TNA.
Sting Christian Cage Bobby Roode The Rise and Fall of CM Punk Samoa Joe Austin Aries Kurt Angle Jeff Hardy They could talk about The Dudley Boyz title reigns and this could lead to Bully Ray in WWe.
Would EC III go to NXT or right to RAW?
Do they reunite Beer Money to pad the NXT tag division?
But in the long run this is sad for Indy promotions everywhere. If they try to get a tv deal they'll just ask them like TNA did? How are you not TNA is their new fight.
Not mentioned in the original piece, but mentioned on the podcast, is TNA has been looking for other investors and that what may be dragging this out. The idea appears to be that Dixie sells 10% shares of TNA to four different investors - TV companies, rich musicians who are hanging around - and uses that money to pay off the Aroluxe group and keep control of the company. Only, no one's really interested in buying minority shares of TNA. (And who knows what you can value TNA at right now.)
TNA's only real asset is the TV deal with POP TV, which isn't doing much for them. I like some of the wrestlers, but the ones they have aren't doing much for them as a ratings draw. It's pretty obvious the name and identity of TNA itself is a huge problem - it was a dumb name from day 1, and it's associated with years and years of an awful wrestling company. If someone buys this, they're probably going to have raze TNA to the ground and start over to erase the stink. And, even if you do, how do you get a buzz around a new wrestling promotion? TNA used to be able to pluck people from the indies, but now there's so many more (and better) options for the same people and the lack of fresh stars or to start over with. It's to the point where buying TNA makes no sense unless you're sure this is the only way to get your wrestling company on TV, and even then you've got to really want to run a wrestling company.
I'm always skeptical TNA is going to die and I'm always right to be skeptical. I think I might have to change my tune this time: this is either going to be the actual physical death of TNA as a company, or it's going to be the metaphorical death of the Dixie Carter era of TNA and the start of something else. And there's no telling how long that something else might last either.
(The idea of WWE funding TNA to keep going is silly. WWE has it's minor league and influence on other groups who are running more shows than TNA. The library is not worth as much as you'd think - they're not selling as much of those DVDs now a days - and only make sense as pennies on the dollar purchase if TNA goes bankrupt like ECW.)

Buy TNA, bring him onboard as CEO, announce the purchase on the next Raw, and fire him.

Haven't you heard? GFW has transcended the wrestling business and is now the premiere destination for gold! Yes, gold is a precious resource and Jeff Jarrett wants to bring you in on this special opportunity.
It seems somehow both incredibly odd and yet totally fitting that Hall and Nash would be the ones to carry on Gordon Solie's tradition of pronouncing 'suplex' correctly.
