Take 25 minutes out of your busy hump day schedules to catch this classic (easily find-able through the power of Google) today, I promise you won't regret it. I felt inspired to write up a review, so here you go:

Wrestle Kingdom 10, January 4, 2016, Tokyo Dome

IWGP Intercontinental Championship: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) v AJ Styles

This is evidently a big deal, if the unusually vocal crowd is any indication. Nakamura's entrance is suitably epic. They start with a long feeling out process that is usually customary in big matches in Japan. The first exchange ends in a stalemate, but the crowd ADORES it. If you watch Japanese wrestling, you know that the crowds are usually reserved, but this crowd is HYPED for this match. Nakamura gives him a rather condescending clean break off another exchange, and a third one leads to finisher attempts, so they both back off. Nakamura takes time to posture, so AJ takes aim at him with a "bullet," only for Shinsuke to "catch" it and "swallow" it. This is why this man is a star; the charisma is off the charts. AJ responds by sending some of Shinsuke's teeth down his throat off a gorgeous dropkick, but Nakamura comes back with some kicks and a giant kneedrop. AJ fakes an injury, causing the ref to keep Shinsuke off him, and then takes over with a cheapshot when his back is turned. That's some quality cheating.

AJ chops away in the corner and grabs a sickle hold but Nakamura gets to the ropes. Nakamura's brief comeback is halted with a straight forearm to the face and AJ crushes him in the corner with a flying version. They trade some forearms, but Nakamura reverses a sleeper into a hiptoss backbreaker and takes the fight outside. There he tackles AJ into the guardrail and works the midsection back inside. Knees to the neck and a front suplex set up a Boma Ye attempt, but AJ sidesteps it, only to get caught with the corner knees. Nakamura wants to knee him some more in the opposite corner, but AJ stops that with the Phenomenal Forearm, folding Shinsuke in half with the impact.

They fight over a suplex, but AJ can't pull him over, because his back is shot. Then Nakamura tries one of his own, and AJ uses the momentum to swing him into the turnbuckle instead! That is fantastic storytelling. AJ suddenly grabs the Calf Killer but Nakamura is in the ropes, and he follows with a lung blower and the inverted powerslam for 2. Nakamura wants the Boma Ye, but he still can't find it. AJ rolls through another attempt into the Calf Killer and this time Shinsuke's in the middle of the ring! Nakamura suddenly rolls it into a triangle choke, so AJ just straight up decks him in the face with his forearm. Crude, but effective.

They botch the placement on the Phenomenal DDT, but AJ just forearms the shit out of his face! That works too. Towerhacker Bomb gets 2, but Nakamura stops the Styles Clash and nearly nails him with a sliding knee! AJ runs right into a diving Boma Ye (!) but Nakamura's too dead to cover him. And so now it's time for a MANLY slugfest (or forearm-fest, if you will), which AJ wins with a wheelbarrow facebuster for a LONG 2. That was a gigantic nearfall, which Nakamura has turned into a bit of an artform. Another exchange ends with a Pele and the Boma Ye, and Nakamura gets 2 off that. Well, he only has himself to blame with that lazy-ass cover.

AJ turns an inverted powerslam into a crucifix, and Nakamura runs headlong into a Boma Ye! 450 Splash (!!) gets only 2 for AJ and he's at a loss here. The referee's reactions to AJ's disbelief are just fantastic. AJ tries for an Uraken, but Nakamura turns that into the triangle hold! AJ stands up and drops him in the Styles Clash! But it only gets 2! I'm beginning to think AJ's not winning tonight. The nearfalls are real, though. Bloody Sunday wrecks Nakamura's life, and AJ wants to finish with the Styles Clash, but the realization dawns on him that Nakamura needs special treatment. So he decides to kill him once and for all with a SUPER STYLES CLASH. And he pays dearly for that, as Nakamura brings him down with a Michinoku Driver and a pair of absolutely BRUTAL Boma Ye's (one to the back of the head) finish at 24:15. *****. An incredible, awe-inspiring match where both guys brought the hatred and a willingness to absorb punishment. The technical work is par excellence, the character work equally astounding, and the storytelling absolutely amazing. This is what world class talent does when given the right platform, and there's no better feeling in wrestling than to watch two wonderfully gifted athletes showcase their considerable skills. If you wanted to know what modern Strong Style is all about, look no further. Post-match, their differences settled like real men, they bump fists in a show of solidarity as the crowd showers them with adoration. I have goosebumps. This is what wrestling is supposed to be.

I found it via Googling Styles vs Nakamura Wrestle Kingdom 10 and bitching about WWE 2K16 simulation videos until I finally found it on page 3.

Alternatively, ignore YouTube and check Vimeo.

The top three matches at Wrestle Kingdom 10 are all amazing MOTY contenders. So far, it's the only time these two have faced off one-on-one, but if and when Nakamura goes to the main roster, I can see them doing this one again in WWE.

I loved this match and the show it was on. I'm still struggling to get my head around the idea that we live in a world where WWE employs both Styles and Nakamura.

Wrestle Kingdom seems to always deliver in the big matches and has quickly become one of the cards I really look forward to. I echo the recommendations!

That's like saying just because WCW was challenging the WWF in the 1990s, the WWF had no right to go on RAW and tell their fans WCW sucked.
