Z's current away message "back sunday" I kno that this could just be a simple okay his is when ill be back on AIM bit, but im hopin that it means we will get our answers then too.
Anyways.... If im wrong and this is the end of Slash and CRZ's involvement in wrestling then im gonna give a big thank You to Z for working so hard to keep me and others entertained over the years.
I've tried to AIM him as well with no response. ::shrugs:: I can't speak for all the contributors to the site, but I would have liked an email. I found out from a friend that the site was gone.

Well, at least *I* didn't just to conclusions... Uh... Well, hopefully Z has a fun weekend and comes back all drugged up and ready to bitch about Bisch...FUN-FUN!

Well, who can resist adding to a 9 page thread. I tried to resist for days to see if maybe things would return to normal but no such luck . This is a thank you to you CRZ and well deserved one. It doens't matter if Slash does or doesn't come back I still thank you. I have enjoyed your recaps for a very log time.
Same goes for me. I won't say anything that I'm thinking other than thank you for the great recaps. If it wasn't for these recaps, I wouldn't have known anything about the WW(then)F in 98 because I didn't have cable to watch RAW, and I didn't care to read bland or extremely biased recaps. And also a big thank you for doing the NWA:TNA shows...it was nice to see someone that screamed "CHANGE!" actually give someone that offered change a chance.
But if after the Repo Man, Kamala the Ugandan Giant, Akeem the African Dream, and The Shockmaster all came and went--Bischoff would put you into retirement? Odd...
from the third anniversary intro: "HEY for some reason we can't fathom, this website has passed the third anniversary of first going online and I am FIT to BUST with pride and joy about THIS, my own personal pride and joy. I think today and the day the Awards come out are the highest volume days of the year, and the fact that really *today* is just a testament and monument to my massive ego, well, like I said. FIT to BUST.
"Really this is the only time I feel like I can get away with such a self-serving display, but there's so much more to this, our 3rd Anniversay subsite. Because this site, yeah, it's got a lot to do with "CRZ" but also it's so much *more* than that. The revolving door I first unlocked in July 1999 has brought so many people in and out - and back in, and in the process this site ends up so much more than the sum of its parts."
the way i look at it, another wrestling site went tits up. it was a site that posted my two articles and i'm grateful CRZ gave me those opportunities to leach off his popularity, but ultimately it's just another site that went tits up. i don't recall another site just disappearing after the webmaster posted a message like that though.
if the site is so much more than CRZ, why'd it get shut down at his whim? he's the web master and that's his right, but it seems hypocritical to me.
the man once said that he Lives to write play by play. i can see how there hasn't been that much play by play to do over the past few months but how much was there when raw was an hour of mostly squash matches and ICO Pro ads? he's probably a much different person now than he was then but jesus, he built something fairly big and just walked away with no explanation. ultimately it's probably not that big of a deal but he also walked out on at least a bit of an obligation to online onslaught.
it could be (cue ominous music) A WORK. if THAT's the case then just fuck off right now.
guru posted in another thread that we should have some dignity. i appreciate CRZ's past efforts, but i don't see any dignity in flat out ditching your readers and making your archives inaccessible to those without the 'net savvy to look beyond their bookmark.
Personally, if I had a hobby that I went off of big time, then I wouldn't want spend my time html-ing up and reading other people's articles on the subject. If the theory that Bischoff pushed CRZ too far is true (and bear in mind everything is wild speculation at this point) then you can kind of see why there's no site any more. Yeah, a parting word would have been nice, but there you go.
Alternatively, there might be personal reasons that are nothing to do with wrestling that are motivating the guy. In which case it has nothing to do with us at all.
Yeah, we all loved Slash but we're just fanboys, we don't automatically 'deserve' an explanation as some seem to think, although one would be nice, as I said above.
Weinerville didn't get shut down, which we should be grateful for. Some of the columns have migrated here (which is great) and once all this back-biting/ridiculous attempts to take over (I don't mean the tongue in cheek ones - they're funny)/amazing amount of post count bumping through really inane one liners stops we might get back to normal. CRZ is gone for now. Yes, it leaves a hole, and he'll be missed, but it isn't the end of the world. I still think his best project was Weinerville, and we still have that.

Well, we hit 30000 today and I totally missed it. So this'll have to do. Go back to T20K for interesting links, and the triple-oughts since then are... 20000: 20,000th THREAD OF THE DAY by CRZ in CRZ's World 21000: How does one buy a computer?
