Reigns vs Lesnar does feel more natural of a matchup this year than last, especially since they now have a history that's unresolved. I still don't really want to see it since it's supposed to be the "biggest WrestleMania ever" and it's not very exciting to book it like a rerun, especially if Rock/HHH is also happening.

I think this is the way they'll go, only with the roles reversed and Brock being the challenger. Not dead set against it, just kind of underwhelmed.

Rock vs Lesnar is a rematch, but since both of them have transformed significantly since 2002, I'd be all for it. It'd be interesting to see the two match up and it's been one that people have been talking about wanting to see for a while. I think, if I were trying to pack in 100,000 and I was booking like I cared, this would be the matchup I'd go with for WM32.

Orton/Lesnar, Cesaro/Lesnar, Bryan/Lesnar, and Owens/Lesnar are all matches that could be incredible in a big stadium setting.

---- so they are putting the belt on Roman Reigns now instead of at Wrestlemania, Reigns will go into WM as champion, and Lesnar will win the Royal Rumble. which will protect Reigns from having to win the Rumble and by the time he gets to Mania he will be more accepted as a babyface against Lesnar (due to all the good bookings they will do!)

Taking all this as read, you may go one step further and speculate about what blowing off Undertaker/Lesnar early meant for the Undertaker. You may go another step further and think "oh yeah and what, of course, about John Cena? this man feeds us." You may, through musical chairs, then wonder if they would just do Undertaker vs. John Cena, or if like last year they would build up heels for each of them to beat. Which at the current state of heel depth, they'd pretty much be choosing between Braun Strowman and, uh, apparently Alberto Del Rio is a real hot heel again.

Well, PWInsider says Undertaker vs. Cena is the direction, with Cena looking to end the Undertaker's Wrestlemania winning streak of 1-0. For years now, Texas Stadium and #32 have been eyeballed and earmarked as the big Undertaker retirement match, in which case Cena would fit as a high-profile opponent for the occasion even if so much of the drama and stakes has been undercut without the streak factor.

But all of a sudden Undertaker is healthier and more active than he has been in five years, working all these In Your House PPVs and international house shows. So unless he's just getting it all out of system, retirement hardly seems imminent. So I guess the match would just be Face That Runs The Place vs. Guard That Runs The Yard in a Hey We Haven't Done This Match match. Or maybe it will be a United States title match and in a reverse Wrestlemania 20, the now-demagical'd Undertaker will resurrect as the American Badass.

Anyway, if you're counting, and still taking into account the Rollins injury and hopeful resulting elevation of somebody or somebody who isn't Sheamus, the top matches at Wrestlemania are potentially

Rock vs. Triple H
Reigns vs. Lesnar
Cena vs. Undertaker
Rollins vs. nobody

Man, and people were mad about all the part-timers headlining at 31 30 29 28.

Maybe Reigns vs. HHH is now in play for Wrestlemania, in the wake of Rollins' injury. That would leave Brock without an obvious opponent, assuming that Rock/Bryan/Austin/whomever are no-gos.

WWE seems to hate to elevate anyone new to face Lesnar, but this would seem to be the time to spend the next few months pushing the crap out of Owens or Cesaro. Or for a higher-up guy, Bray Wyatt.

George Michael weighed his options. Maeby had chastised him for not taking risks, and what would be a bigger risk than perpetuating a lie about software just to ignite the passions of a woman? Of course it would be a lie, and since Maeby wouldn't know it was a lie, he wouldn't appear to be taking a risk. Perhaps the bigger risk was to tell his father he was lying, that he came up with it because he wanted his father to leave so he could enjoy what remained of his senior year. After all, he wondered, wouldn't that be the course of action taken by an overtly sexual man, a man who owns a pair of matador pants? He had not responded now for 41 seconds according to his unfailing internal clock, and it was time to come clean.

Today's Observer says,

WWE has learned that neither Ronda Rousey nor Rock himself will be able to do matches at Wrestlemania. The movie Rock is filming next year has an insurance holdup that won't let him do a match since WM29 screwed up Hercules. Seth Rollins was the replacement opponent for Triple H until his injury. John Cena vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Title and Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar had been planned before Taker/Lesnar was moved up to Hell in a Cell. This could suggest Reigns/Lesnar for the title and Cena/Undertaker instead, although the Cena/Taker match was denied to Dave.

"Vince McMahon is going back-and-forth on the subject" of allowing Daniel Bryan to wrestle again.

It would be funny if a JOHN CENA Royal Rumble win made for the least-disastrously-received Rumble of the last three years, but my thinking is that Cena would've been dropping the title to Reigns before the idea was changed to Reigns defending against Lesnar. Oh geez imagine Reigns vs. HHH.

So in theory, there's a pretty solid chance that someone (HHH) had floated or was preparing to float the idea of HHH winning the Royal Rumble this time, right?

"Pop, two years in a row, they've hated the Rumble, Pop. It's...you know, it's all those NXT fans, Pop, nothing we do can satisfy them. Pop, I'm Mr. NXT, I know these people as well as anybody, and they...well, hang on, Pop. What if - I mean, I don't want to do this, I'm retired, Pop - but what if, if you really needed it, what if I won the Rumble this year and went against Rollins? I mean, it'd probably have to main event, to make the title look good..."

Seeing WWE/Stephanie constantly kiss Rousey's ass despite knowing there's no way she'd be able to do WrestleMania 32 has been some of the most enjoyable content of the past year. Bummer about The Rock, though, but they can't constantly rely on him either.

Now, Sting really did job to HHH for nothing at WrestleMania 31, since the whole excuse was to set up this phantom match, which we all kinda knew it was at the time anyway. None of this is surprising.

Wow. So, uh... I guess we're going to see how the "WrestleMania brand sells the event" this year, huh? Not that there aren't legitimately interesting matches that they can do. If Rollins was able to be back by then (long shot, I know) they actually have a really interesting story for that Shield Triple Threat that they could set up.

Bryan coming back has to be mandatory at this point, even if they limit him in the ring or his schedule.

Bryan's return is the only interesting thing they have going right now. Taker/Cena is a dream match if the Streak was intact. Reigns/Lesnar II is just a bad idea. I am thinking they are going to find a way to give Lesnar the belt again prior to Mania and then go from there. Its amazing how they fucked up Sting. He could face almost anyone a year ago and people were behind it. Now, there is legit doubt if we ever see him again. TNA look like geniuses compared to WWE in this matter.

Well, they still haven't gotten around to totally screwing Kevin Owens up yet. He seems like the obvious next man up and would be a fine opponent against Taker, Lesnar, or anyone really. Of course Kevin Nash wants one more run, so they could kill Owens off that way too.

If WCW Superstar "The Wall" was still with us, I'd feel sure they were building to an Alberto Del Rio (with Zeb Coulter) vs. The Wall (with Donald Trump) US Title match for WM32.

Any extrapolation as to why it all fell apart? I like to think that this is a good thing that's happening because of the horrid reaction Reigns got for his solo exit on Sunday combined with a writer doing what Rob Naylor suggested and finally getting in Vince's ear about how to start fixing this mess. But it's more likely a reaction to the rating combined with the realization that he could save a ton of money by having Sandow and Henning cosplay Wrestlemania III note for note in Dallas.

This would only work if it was "Loser Can't Be Kevin."
