Sheamus over Ziggler
New Day over Cesaro-Kidd
Wyatt beats Ryback
Cena makes Lana quit for Rusev
Tamina and Naomi beat The Bellas
Neville defeats Barrett by countout
Rollins wins via Pedigree on Orton

Sheamus-Ziggler got the show off to a good start. Ziggler bled all over the place after a headbutt. The blood made up for some of the dumb arse bits they threw in.

New Day vs Cesaro-Kidd was a lot of fun. I'm so glad these guys all found each other and I look forward to the Chamber. They can't all cram into the same pod, "We're too big!".

Wyatt vs Ryback happened.

Cena and Rusev had another clunker of a match. You can probably blame the stipulations as much as anything.

Hopefully, the Board of Directors reviews Referee Mike Chioda and his decision to let the match continue after Cena was clearly unconscious. In this day and age wrestler safety needs to come before match stipulations.

They really botched this series.

#givedifferentdivasachance?

Barrett-Neville was a letdown. Skinny Barrett weirds me out. Raw match.

Main Event was great. This was really put together well for a WWE fourway. They gave us a Shield mini reunion that turned into a Seth beat down. Reigns might have been the strongest worker in this match. Ambrose and Reigns end up fighting after they agree loser buys beers. If Rollins adopts the Pedigree as his new finisher it should erase some of the disappointment over the loss of the Curb Stomp. He might want to tighten it up a little though.

Two/three really good matches. Nice little show.

Oh man, I just noticed Rusev wrestles barefoot(!) That's got to be awkward - he never gets his feet stepped on. Who was the last guy to do that, Snuka?

Speaking of Rusev, I love this guy on the mic. "Say the words I Quit now and I will spare you the pain!" Best promo of the night. Everyone else's lines were so obviously word-for-word scripted it was painful.

I love how straight-ahead they do his character too, especially as it'd be so easy to kinda wink at it (especially in Cena's involved). Are there even any non-Kayfabe interviews with him?

I really liked the dynamic of Ambrose & Reigns in the match. Sometimes faces just get stupid during these situations. The "loser buys the beer" line was a great touch.

Seth using the pedigree makes crazy sense in the storylines, plus an even *BIGGER* rub from Triple H. Amazing how Seth has carried the company on his back already, and now he gets to use the pedigree full time (I hope).

Umaga did, which works out well since they just reran the same feud he had with Cena.

Yea, this has got to be his move going on. Solves the Rollins missing finisher problem well (with a move that appears to cause just the same amount of head trauma) and works well within the storyline.

I believe this is the first show I managed to bat 1.000 on predictions, though I figured Neville would win via pinfall and not countout. Also glad I didn't try n predict who'd eat the fall in the ME; Ambrose was the obvious pitch, but having the SHIELD members remain unpinned leaves them as valid challengers, while Orton can move on after two failed attempts.

I'd like to touch on something completely different. Last Monday's clunker of a segment aside, man, did Axel and Sandow get one hell of a pop during that Payback pre-show. I think they might be onto something with those guys, so naturally they jobbed to The Ascension, whose act has been on life support for months.

I just want Damien Sandow to do well. Is that so wrong?

It is wrong to cheer for the funny characters over NXT hand picked guys. How dare you go against NXT on the internet no less. I can't imagine as a fan to sit through an almost heel win PPV. You would think they deserved at least a world title change.

Rusev is now on the Cena Monster junk pile. Rollins using the pedigree is sorta stupid. There are a bunch of other finishers out there he could use. However, he is using the CEO's finisher. I hope its not a HHH telling the fans to remember HHH. Its like the Guy Fawkes mask for V for Vendetta.

Rollins has been carrying the company for months. MONTHS. The guy everyone thought would be the forgotten Shield member has become the #1 heel int he company, headlined PPV's, and seems to be a good company man. Triple H obviously thinks highly of him, and this is just one more thing; the rub from using his own finishing move. As opposed to Cena using a rebound Stunner as transition move.

The Ascension is hardly what I would call "hand picked NXT guys".

Did anyone catch New Day's milk promo? They say they don't spit, curse, or complain, but then when they are announced for Elimination Chamber E spits milk, Woods says "what the hell?" and Kofi complains. I liked that touch.

Oddly enough, my favorite match of the night was Wyatt-Ryback. Holy senton.

I actually liked the show. Mind you I was only looking forward to the main, and have been skipping RAWs and Smackdown but still I enjoyed a bit. Except the Diva's Match. I honestly believe The Bellas are the kiss of death to the division as not one woman is able to pull a decent or not-agonizingly-slow match out of either of them. I don't even think the upcoming NXT Divas are safe from their sucktitude.

This will not be an all negative review. Shaemus and Ziggler was a fun opener (that desperation headbutt looked brutal and the bleeding after sealed how vicious it was), I didn't hate Ryback v. Wyatt as much as I initially thought but I'd also be ok with seeing them never wrestle each other in solo again.

I've mainly skipped or blanked out on most of Rusev's matches until last night. He looked a thousand times more indestructible and badass when he was showing weakness and pain than when he just crushes people. I think toward the time he either got an AA on the (near the) pyro or getting the AA on the old WCW guardrail a small Rusev chant broke out. Also Cena telling Rusev he was gonna run him over the barricade if he didn't say "I quit" then a frenzied looking Rusev shouts no to the ref before turning to face his fate of being run over was tremendous! The whole story of Beauty and the Beast if Beast was an abusive twat to Beauty and Gaston was the true hero who dressed like an overgrown little league baseball player had a great conclusion.

The Main Event aka The Shield Powers Explode had everything I wanted. Rollins retained, The Hounds of Justice Triple-Powerbombed a mudafuggin' Viper through a table, then turn on the guy who ruined them before having a Ken versus Ryu like showdown between Ambrose and Reigns. I like that those two remained friends even after the Shield broke up so that even after beating the living shit out of each other I can see them getting those beers after Payback. This again but no fourth man and no Authority or security please.

Also it makes sense Rollins would use the Pedigree, he's essentially been the son the Helmsley's always wanted. Also also I still don't totally like Reigns, but him dropping the Bugs Bunny characteristics and going back to scowling yelling wildman who does more talking during a match as opposed to outside the match feels like the Roman Reigns we all were into pre-Shield breakup. Less talk more punching for Reigns.

Dude Barrett ain't skinny. He's built more like Hugh Jackman a week before he has to film an X-Men film now. Just all lean muscle and little fat. I'm trying to get to that kind of build now and it requires lots of cardio and almost no sugar and bread intake......DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH CEREAL AND PIZZA I'VE HAD TO CUT OUT JUST TO MAINTAIN ABS LIKE THAT?!

Another great line of the night for me was from JBL. Barrett attacks Neville after the fight is over and JBL doesn't say a word. Neville finally starts to fight back and JBL yells:

"C'mon Neville, the fights over!"

Does anyone know Russian and can tell us what Rusev was yelling into the mic before Lana said he quit?

Someone on Reddit often translates Rusev's Bulgarian (not Russian) rants into English. Apparently he said:

"Ahhh no...ahhh I give up! Next time we will crush you! I give up! Stop! I told you! I'll crush you Cena! Damn your old mother, Cena! I will crush you! That's enough, I told you!"

As it often the case nowadays, I enjoyed the show without looking forward to it at all. Sheamus/Ziggler, New Day/Kidd and Cesaro and the main event were all real fun.
