Well, I started this, so I might as well finish it.

Basically, I'm relieved it's over.

Final scene just kinda accentuated everything so... well, depending on how you liked the show, you might use a different adjective than "aggravating," but that's the one I'm choosing ... about this series.

I don't regret sticking it out, but I'm glad I watched it week by week - I don't think this is something I could have binge-watched. (Although FOX mini-binged us by doubling up on episodes most weeks)

I think it's my fault, really. There were too many opportunities for me to ask "hey, but what about..." when I should have been trying to just sit back and enjoy it for what it was...which shouldn't have felt like WORK, but kinda did.

Does any of this make sense?

That last scene kinda felt like "We'll use it if we're picked up for Season Two, but if not, no one will ever see it."

I'm curious if this means that the rest of the characters just won't be around for Season Two at all. Can't say I'll be all that disappointed. The only one I think I'll miss is Todd.

Interview with Executive Producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller on Grantland today. They have been picked up for Season 2.

I am with Zim on this one. I kind of kept watching because I started and just wanted to see where it went. In the interview they talk about keeping Phil sympathetic, but I do not think they achieved that. He's kind of a jerk and he doesn't deserve Louise Belcher.

I dunno, this was by far my favorite episode and the ending actually made me want to see more.

Do I think Phil was redeemed for his actions? Fuck no. He was an asshole pretty much the whole season and he definitely doesn't deserve Carol (which even he recognized - the line that cracked me up the most was "I gotta be honest, Carol, I think you're making a big mistake.")

I just think Phil couldn't handle people. The more he had to socialize, the more pressure he felt, the more his inadequacies and insecurities came to the front, and the crazier he got. Whether that's always who he as or a result of a couple of years entirely alone is hard to say. And, of course, the final reveal that his brother is an astronaut probably sheds a little light on Phil's inferiority complex.

I really like Kristen Schaal, so, as long as she's still on it, I'll probably try a second season. I expect the others will return too, though, most esp. January Jones since Will Forte's rumored to be dating her.

Read it and weep, fella

I loved the original premise, but now the original premise is totally dead and gone. I don't mind that The Last Man on Earth is not the actual last living person on earth anymore, but now he's got 6 co-stars that he interacts with face-to-face on a daily basis! How is that any different from any other sitcom?

Everyone on the show has a great place to live, clean clothes, good food, running water, and outside of Phil's billboards, no one is making any effort to find other survivors. Besides Phil II rigging up the water and the electricity, they are barely even reminding us that there are no other humans left in the world. RIP Original Premise.

No need to rehash how unlikeable their main character is. I just wish they had made him a little closer to 90% likeable/10% douche instead of the other way around.

I thought Carol's "face turn" at the end seemed a little forced and contrived too. Didn't care for it.

Same here. I had no intention of watching next season, but they did hook me a little with the outer space brother. But how do they connect him with the others? Does his space station fall out of the sky and crash land in Tucson? Does Phil II decide to build a super satellite radio that receives Commander Miller's distress calls from space?

Part of me says "Keep the show on the DVR schedule. If it stays stupid, delete it", part of me says "Do NOT get hooked on Season 2. Clean break NOW". Ugh. We'll see.

I bet it turns out that the space brother's name is actually Phil, and Tandy's real first name is something else.

I enjoyed the Phil/Carol scenes this season enough, because Carol was as crazy as Phil. I found the show suffered as it kept adding characters with no imperfections. If every (or most) addition had their own flaws, it would have made Phil (and the show) more tolerable. The finale reset works for me in that regard, and I'm in for the start of S2.

My prediction: The answer to "So, where ya wanna go next" will end up being Houston.

I saw The Bucket List Friday night and it was a pretty decent flick. The stars were on point and the date pointed out to me that "Jack" was in the movie and then she got sad when I didn't know he was from "Will and Grace.
