But what about TheCubsFan, Seadawg, Jim Ross Jr, Brewguy, cfbg and the others? Did they all get together and sign some mass suicide pact? I know, they probably have sites of their own, but it was here where I found them, and now I can't.
cfgb followed in CRZ's footsteps immediately after reading Smackdown!'s spoilers.
I was on Lords Of Pain for Confidential and starting this week Smackdown! but I ended it before I even had to watch it.
YES it has become so bad it's no longer fun to recap. I am going to occassionally do old tape reviews - but that's really it. I'm not ordering another PPV, and TV watching is about to become really sporadic.
I damn near threw in the towel after King Of The Ring's main event - and CRZ walking coupled with Smackdown! sealed the deal.
I use MSN messanger with chriscfgb@hotmail.com - and I'll occassionally be around Wienerville so long as CRZ leaves it up.
For those of you hungry for the oafness that IS Brewguy (as well as many other talented writers), head on over to SUBVERSIA, the brain-child of In This Very Ring. (You could just click on Puff Mario, too. It's the cool thing to do.)
But hurry while it lasts. We're moving to a new domain soon.
Hopefully someday soon you'll at least restore the main page so that we can still remember the good times (and the bad times you made good to read...
I mentioned this already, but the main page is still there. Here, actually...
\
I just clicked on this link and went back to the slash wrestling web page before it went black, and the most ironic thing is that the link to Wienerville has the caption "Just another Monday"
I guess we all know by now how ironic that tag line really is...it was anything but just another monday.
(edited by CEMfromMD on 17.7.02 0839) Weiner of the Day - 7/11/02 "Free Slurpee Day!"
And the funniest thing about it all is that the content accessible from the main page of slashwrestling itself is still better than the content of 97% of all sites on the internet.
I will miss CRZ's radly righteous recaps, yes I will.
Wow, I take a couple days off from the internet and return to find the main site black and a firestorm in Wienerville. *sigh*
If CRZ really has quit, and that seems likely, I'm kinda sad. It was refreshing to read recaps about the shows, not the gimmick of the writer. I wasn't around the slash for long, but... thanks Zed.
Brewguy - um, I forget! Actually I think I'm thinking of ITVR but I don't think if that's right. It's not really the link in his profile (where all these other things could've been found), is it?
Well, I have brewguy.freeservers.com, but at the moment, it's all about my music, not my recaps. But, this will change to combine both in the very near future.
And, as Captain Clown said, all my stuff can also be found at Subversia.com.
Thanks kindly to all who thought of little ol' (well...big ol') MEMEMEMEMEME ;)
I beleive I should chime in as well., being this is my first post.
CRZ, I thank you for the wonderful recaps of RAW, Smackdown, Thunder, and ugh, Nitro. You are a wonderful journalist and its a mighty big shame that you left. I will miss them.
Let's all have a moment of silence for slashwrestling.com
Slashwrestling going black definitely caught me by surprise. I am trying to figure out whether I need to find another website to publish my writing on. Aside from Slash, I also write regularly for http://outlawsofwrestling.com and http://cwodenver.com. If Slash is closed, I'll probably move most of my stuff to Outlaws. It's not a bad site, and more new content can only make it better...
CRZ, it's been a great run. If this is it, thanks for running a great website for three years, and thanks for a decade of great recaps. Let us know when you are back; you know we'll flock to you, wherever you may be.
