I for one think it's a SURE FIRE THING that Vince would give the OK to an angle where a competitor's group of wrestlers shows up, tells everyone watching that the WWE and how they run things sucks, and then is proven correct in storyline.

This idea has a 100% chance of happening.

Why is everyone missing the 'fantasy booking' part of my idea ...? Do people tell Dr Unlikely that his Crisis of Infinite Shields aren't likely to happen?

Look for Russo to have a Crisis In Infinite Rings match before the end of TNA.

-edit- Spoke to soon, Russo is done with TNA officially now:

http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0730/579516/vince-russo-reports-that-he-is-officially-done-with-tna/

Vince Russo revealed on his Twitter that he is officially done with TNA. He had been secretly working as a consultant, however was outed when he accidentally sent an email with creative instructions to Taz and PWInsider reporter Mike Johnson, which was intended for Mike Tenay.
"Officially DONE w/TNA," Russo wrote on his Twitter. "Today they 'suggested' a break, I declined. Finality was better for me.Details comingpyroandballyhoo.com"

Taz noted on Twitter earlier this week that he unfollowed Russo and wanted him to go away. He wrote:

"I unfollowed Russo earlier, hes annoying & all about HIS BRAND. #GoAway"

I just hope that Global Force Wrestling continues the WCW/TNA continuity. One reason why I never get consistently interested in WWE is that their continuity is so unstable. (#Hypertime.)

Even after possibly losing their Spike deal, they still only "suggested" "taking a break." And he gets to save face by coming off as the guy to turn them down.

Go, Russo!

This requires you to believe anything Russo has to say.

Dude's trying to push a subscription based site and probably is the one person making money on TNA's demise. This is definitely more of that.

I expect several of the usual suspects have already started their books on The Rise and Fall of TNA. (...not that I can definitively state that any of those books have ever actually made money)

Doesn't there have to be sort of rise for that to work? The Sort of Tolerable and Fall of TNA doesn't quite have the same zing.

It's ALIVE (for now)

WON had been saying this was a possibility and generally that Spike was going out of their way to be a good partner despite their being no deal, but it still seems a rare good sign for the future of the promotion.

Spike {then TNN) did offer ECW a short extension too about fifteen years ago. So it's difficult to know if this is just putting off an execution or if they'll work something more long term out. Gotta figure if TNA can draw the same audience they drew on Thursdays they will get an extension, but who really knows.

411 Wrestling via Wrestling observer says the belief backstage is that TNA has found a deal with a smaller network http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/333025/Has-TNA-Found-a-New-Network-For-Impact?.htm

Do you have an actual Wrestling Observer link? Because...well, I'm skeptical of this 411 "report."

In the context of the Observer, it came off like TNA may have a smaller deal or may have just been telling people they did as way to keep hope alive.

It's also another similarity with ECW's end on TNN/Spike - they also had a smaller TV offer, but it would've been too small for them to keep going. Hopefully that's not the same for TNA, but it's hard to see the way TNA would survive on a smaller deal when they're shedding contracts as it is.

Meltzer on the Law said he's been told that TNA has numerous irons in the fire. He said that one smaller station that he's been told he may never have heard of is interested. Does not exactly sound like good news.

Meltzer said the mystery channel is the Velocity channel - a HD Discovery channel that a lot of people have and few people watch. TNA would be getting much less money and would have to make major cutbacks on top of what they're already doing.

(He also notes there are other channels they are working on and even this may not be definite)

They're also not running any more house shows for the time being (any scheduled are being converted to TV or One Night Only PPVs) and dismissed their arena merchandise staff.

I believe Wrestling inc had velocity before Meltzer did. There is conflicting reports on whether Velocity is in 48 million homes or 53 million homes. Either say it is a steep decline from the amount of homes that Spike is in, I believe over 90 million. I believe it has been reported that Velocity is the worst case scenario as they are offering to pay a quarter of the amount that Spike was paying them.

What Worked PAS: Victoria has looked really stinky as a face lately, but this was easily her best face match. Crowd was completely silent, but the work was good, and I really dug the split legged beating. TKG:
