Now that is the funniest thing I have read on the board all day long. ; P

Originally posted by CEMfromMDThe link to Slash Wrestling that was on his homepage www.crz.net is gone too. I think this is for real.
really? i still see the link to slashwrestling.com, but didn't notice if he pulled crz.net or not...
hmmmmmmmmm
I went to www.crz.net, refreshed several times, cleared my cache, tried agian...And Nope...The Slashwrestling.net link is NOT there.
Thanks for years of excellent recaps CRZ.
the slashwrestling.net link is on the main wienerville page
You can't fire a gun in a confined space! What are you tring to do, make us deaf?!" "Just get out of the chopper." "What?" "Get out of the chopper!" "The crops!?" - Jack Lemmon and James Garner, "My Fellow Americans", and the reason I say "The crops?" instead of "Huh?"
And just as at all points in the past, Bischoff seems to have completely polarized wrestling fans. Is it the greatest, most shocking "Holy Shit" swerve of all times? Or a pathetic sign of desperation?
Leaning towards the latter, apparently, is Christopher Robin Zimmerman. His SlashWrestling.com features a black screen, and the ominous message "Good Night." [As an aside, CRZ says he IM'ed last night to tell me he quit... I didn't get the message until he sent an e-mail, though. This is because I don't do Instant Messaging; I don't even have any IM software installed. So, faithful readers, if you see somebody claiming to be me on AIM or Yahoo or whatever -- even if they are using my quasi-official "OO Rick" screen name -- tell them to fuck off on my behalf. But then go back and tell them, thanks, and that I'm flattered to be so important to them that I'm worth impersonating.]
Another interesting note: on crz.net's homepage, where there used to be the link to slash, not there is only a blank space. Take a look at the HTML and you'll see that he's only commented out the link and image (Blackman nailing someone with a cane). I hope this all means Zim's just taking a break, getting his head straight, and/or just fucking with his adoring readership in general...
Well, if this is truly the end - thank you Chris for supplying me for the past three years or so with recaps and commentaries that were more entertaining than the shows themselves.
Aww man, this has been a very bad year for pro wrestling.
WWF is no longer WWF. Bret Hart is paralyzed. Davey Boy Smith gone to soon. Rock is teetering between Hollywood stardom and wrestling full-time. Austin gone from wrestling.
Ratings down, and TNA byrates very small.
Writing is awful, making us endure Planet Stasiak and especially the "Fat ass" angle that almost buried US women's wrestling forever.
nWo flame dimmed on Shawn Michaels superkicking Booker T and finally snuffed out on Nash's blow out.
Now Eric Bischoff on TV again.
And now CRZ...is walking...out.
Awwww...

Well..if this is really it and we have seen the last of the only true recapper I have ever read, then I wish him farewell, although I would like to hear his side of the story, and why he came to this decision in a rational piece.
I know there is one straw that breaks the camel's back but still its kinda sad.
Hmm..maybe we can start an online petition..*giggle* or bride CRZ to return...who has some pokemon games left he hasn't finished yet? :)

========================================================== QUOTE OF THE WEEK: Gene Okerlund: Dean Malenko, everybody thought coming into this match here tonight that you were gonna beat Chris Jericho. I talked to people in Las Vegas, Nevada - the oddsmakers even picked you to win tonight...but you didn't. .... Dean Malenko, I've known you since you've been a young man. I knew your great father that preceeded you in this tremendous sport before you. Dean Malenko, this is a match that you should have won tonight...and you didn't! .... Dean Malenko, you are oh for four in WCW mega-events, I'm gonna go back to Starrcade, I'm gonna call you on the carpet, you didn't win at Starrcade, you didn't win at Souled Out, you didn't win at SuperBrawl, and you didn't win here tonight! Now you are a bona-fide loser! .... Where does Dean Malenko go from here?
Dean Malenko: Home. (WCW Uncensored 1998 - thanks to Tony Gancarski) =========================================================== Oops, I had a big long speech to write here, but I never got around to it. So...
Here's the short version: about three weeks ago, I was contacted about continuing on with WrestleLine past the WrestleManiacs contract end. I got an offer, I considered it a joke, made a counteroffer which I'm sure THEY considered a joke, they responded "well, it's obvious you're leaving - that'd be a shame" and so we stopped talking. Apparently, one of us isn't much of a negotiator (I hope it wasn't me), but at least I can say that through all of this, one of us has been as professional as can be expected, up until the teaser for this report anyway.
It seems to me that SportsLine and I have differing ideas about my worth to WrestleLine, as well as WrestleLine's worth to me. So... that's that. I gave this thing the two years I told Rick and Mike I'd give them, it's over, and I'm outta here...and pretty damn relieved about it, too. Thanks to all of you who have written me such kind words (and even the unkind ones) over the two years here at WrestleLine, as well as the sixteen months before, even going back to 1992 on rec.sport.pro-wrestling. I hope you'll continue to find me wherever I may land - even if it's just on some rinky-dink site with no "prestige," no money involved, no advertisements, nothing but a giant high horse for me to sit on with my ideals, even as turning down money is the LAST thing I should be doing. Fortunately for me, I tend to sleep better worrying about how to pay the bills than worrying about compromising my (whatever) for less than I happen to think I'm worth. Still...anybody wanna buy a tape?
Not exactly coincidentally...Thursday, I turn thirty. It may be time to either reevaluate my life and decide what I REALLY want to do....or just party down and get really, really drunk. I think you and I probably know what I'm going to do. (wink) Either way, it looks like the perfect time to break my "iron man" SmackDown! streak - we'll arrange for a guest host and see how long I stay out of the game.
More than ever, sites that are not dependent on advertising need your support. I strongly encourage you to check out sites like otherarena.com, ddtdigest.com, oursocalledsport.com and a1wrestling.com - and, yes, even slashwrestling.com as well - sites that rely more on a love of the business and not on a love of money to continue to provide you with a place to feed and supplement YOUR love of pro wrestling. And even after all this, the paramount point is that I ENJOY WRESTLING. Don't ever forget it. And expect nothing less from anyone else you may read in the future.
Never before have so many people underestimated and overestimated one man's importance in this "business," all at the same time. If it *never* happens again, at least regarding "CRZ" - well, I couldn't be happier about that.
Whew! And I worried that I'd go out on a PRETENTIOUS note!
See you round, everybody.

If, IF, CRZ has quit more power to him. Doesn't it say something about the state of the wrestling game that the most exciting thing to happen to us is this?
Like someone else said...if this is it, I'll be bummed because Zed's recaps were increasingly more entertaining than the show.
I hope he's back...if not...than I hope he at least keeps the forum and drops in to say "Hi" once in a while.
All I can say is that if they've succeeded in driving off CRZ, then I'd be worried if I'm WWE, because you can't find many more hardcore fans than him.
If indeed this is the end, thanks Mr. Zed. You made a lot of people's tuesdays a little happier with your efforts.
You never know when you'll meet that special someone... the someone that's mysteriously blind to your flaws. or, you know, stupid enough not to realize that yes, you really are that cynical.
Well, if it's over (and it's starting to look like it is), I'd like to thank CRZ for the work he's put into /slashwrestling. Props to Zed for the recaps, which I still say are the best in the 'net. Period.
I salute you, Zed, and wish you the best in your future activities.

We are obviously going thru the darkest days in wrestling history. And there may be some that will quit watching wrestling because booking sucks, or because their favorite wrestler walked out, or because a wrestler re-injures himself 5 seconds after officially making his return. Or even because some smiling man dyes his hair and becomes the new general manager of a high-rated Monday night wrestling show. But I am not one of those people! I am a man who loves wrestling, no matter how crappy it can get, who will be intrigued by the storylines, no matter how ridiculous, who will mark out for his favorite wrestler, even if everyone else thinks he or she is the biggest pile of shit walking the face of God's green earth, and who will ALWAYS believe that things will get better! So even if booking or gimmicks are at their worst, or storylines make no sense, I keep remembering the words of "Fire ProWrestling G":
"Our matches raised the bar and breathed new life into the wrestling world. And then... It brought about a third, golden age of professional wrestling."
I am not afraid of what will come, because I do believe that golden age will come.
The Great Thomas has spoken.
"an then BOOKER T tole Godlust he was a SUCKA! OMG! LOLOLOL! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! that was a realy good segmnt."
CRZ didn't right any reports for that time period. (95-mid 98) Loosie. Your friendly nieghbourhood Canadian. The SWF: Our EZBoard Our WebSite We Think We Know What It Stands For.
