Dean Ambrose has always been my favorite new wrestler with potential, but I think tonight he actually became my favorite wrestler on the roster, period.
Great RAW. I agree that, even if Jericho's back with the specific purpose of putting someone over, they need to do what they did with Brock recently and give him some wins over game competition so that he isn't just a big time jobber and is actually doing something of note. He can go out on his back, he can lose to Bray or whatever, but he should also beat guys like Bray so we buy that loss more.
I was pretty close. I predicted Cena vs Reigns for Battleground, but it makes sense to dilute it with Orton and Kane. It's more interesting than doing Cena vs Orton or Cena vs Kane straight up to make it a 4-way with Reigns in the mix. I think HHH costs Reigns the match to set up Orton/Reigns or HHH/Reigns for SummerSlam, whatever they wind up doing.
Originally posted by EcksI guess we now know why Emma didn't show up to Santino's party. Apparently she was arrested yesterday afternoon.
Ugh, that doesn't speak well for her future in the company (not like they were treating her well anyway, making her part of Santino's sideshow). What did she get arrested for? On the upside, if she gets released, TNA actually lets their females wrestle, so I'm sure she could jump ship and maybe start getting some actual airtime if it comes to that.

Yeah, maybe link to the details of such a news item instead of just throwing it out there...
She was arrested for shoplifting an iPod case from a Walmart:
And PWInsider got a statement: "WWE is aware that Tenille Dashwood (WWE Diva Emma) was arrested for shoplifting. Ms. Dashwood is ultimately responsible for her personal actions."
I understand people are hyped for Jericho, and he does have charisma, but what's the point, really? He's just going to job to 90% of the roster and disappear.
The story Emma is going with surrounds the dangers of the automated checkout line.
Originally posted by Hartford CourantDashwood, whose ring name is "Emma," appeared in community court Tuesday. She was told to do community service, according to her lawyer, Hubert Santos.
Santos said outside the courtroom that his client's arrest stemmed from a mistake. She was using the self-checkout machine at the Hartford Walmart when she bought about $30 of items but forgot to pay for a case for an electronic device, he said.
Seems to me like it would've just been less of a hassle for everyone just to accept it as a mistake and have Emma just go back and pay for the item if that's what happened. That sort of mistake must happen pretty regularly. (So either that's not what happened, or the manager at Walmart is kind of a jerk.)

I think it was a double turn. The delivery was kind of awkward by Paige but I thought AJ was definitely being a face. Unless it's crazy AJ swerving us. I hope Alicia continues to get the crazy spot on the women's roster though.
Kofi winning on my cell phone was a CHEAP way to get people to download the app, but the brutal Cesaro aftermath was good. Someone pointed out here that if Kofi denied the fans high spots, he'd get booed. Cesaro took the advice.
Jericho coming back looked a LOT like Jericho/Miz, up until we found out what the Wyatts would be up to for Summerslam.
Ambrose absolutely rocks. I know I'll be entertained each time he shows up. "From one scumbag to another..." was the line of the night...
...until I heard Swagger's music hit. I still have goosebumps from that.

All-time great worker and promo, still able to perform at a high level, and one of the most popular wrestlers in company history returning at a time when roster depth is questionable.
That's kinda my point. I would rather see roster depth increased by development of new guys and storylines in the midcard. I feel like part-timers are kind of a waste of energy and spots.

I sorta of agree with you. Yet, we have seen what they do with new talent. Its a crap shot. We get the Wyatts, Shield and Paige then we get the Funkadyles, Bo Dallas, Adam Rose and a bunch of other gimmick wrestlers who don't turn out well. The mid-card is a mess and even if you got rid of all the part time guys, it would still be a mess. The WWE used to have a great track record with mid-card guys, but those days are gone. Right now, they focus on two or three storylines and shove as many wrestlers they like into it.
With Jericho, you get someone with a proven track record even though Chris allows himself to lose matches he shouldn't. You also get someone the fans will pay to see or maybe even subscribe to see.

Oh snap somebody here actually said the thing I was making fun of and may not be being ironic

While they're working on fleshing out their roster, true star power takes time to produce. Look at how long Daniel Bryan was mucking around in the midcard before the YES! movement took over in its full glory. The new guys need someone to play off of and feud with enough to elevate them to the next level. Y2J is someone who can do that while increasing interest among fans, and assuming we don't see a prolonged Cena/Lesnar feud, Lesnar could end up doing the same for Reigns.
I dunno about you, but part-timers or not, the thought of Y2J vs Bray Wyatt and Lesnar vs Reigns has me excited just at the thought.

I Agree. A program with jericho can only help the Wyatts.
Life is hilariously cruel.
It ain't the six minutes... it's what happens in that six minutes.

Daniel Bryan had a perfectly fine period 'mucking around in the midcard', including a US title reign, MitB win, WHC reign, and a long tag title reign, all in the course of 3 to 4 years. Patience is a virtue clearly lost on some (witness claims that Bray Wyatt is ruined by not beating Cena - which nobody else does either, except DB).
And since everyone seems to agree Jericho is here to put Wyatt over, all you're wishing is that someone deserving of a push to establish themselves get their ass kicked by the Wyatts instead. Which I'm sure some would find a way to complain about as well.

It's my hope that CM Punk sees Jericho's pattern of appearances and thinks that's the way to go. All Jericho is doing is making his own off-season, which I wholeheartedly support for wrestlers. AJ just came back from a break, and it allowed Paige to establish herself for their feud. Win-win.
