For sheer musical weirdness, nothing can top the Unlimited Sunshine tour, with the Flaming Lips, Cake, De La Soul, and Modest Mouse.
Anyone remember the joy of seeing him bash the Undertaker's motorcycle with his sledgemhammer and doing no damage and being all like, "Mjolnir will not break thine cycle? I say thee NAY!" and dumping it off the stage. - Enojado Viento says the funniest thing I've ever read on Wienerville.
A few years back (1994, to be exact), Depeche Mode toured with Primal Scream (during their rock days) and Stabbing Westward just as they released their major label debut. That was an odd triple-bill, with no festival behind it.
Wu-Tang didn't show up for a show, and then, believe it or not, my namesake got arrested for something or another and they wound up getting kicked off the tour.
I think they replaced them with The Roots, if memory serves.

In Atlanta last Friday night we got treated to Ten till 4, Six Speed, and FREAKING N.E.R.D. along with Hoobastank. The concert was FREE!!! The lead signer/rapper in N.E.R.D. jumped into the crowd for their encore (Lapdance and Rock Star again) and ended up rapping Rock Star litearlly 2 feet away from me.
I'm gonna get me an oversized guitar, gain 40 pounds, and become the next D!
It usually takes me anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours, before reviewing and spellchecking and whatnot. I love procrastinating and I'm easily distracted, which is why it takes me weeks to get around to finishing some of them.
