It's the NXT aRrival... of some new faces on the show. Quite a few things are on the horizon.
QnD
Aiden English def. Colin Cassidy Camacho def. Oliver Grey The Ascension def. Jobbers The Great Khali def. CJ Parker Jason Jordan and Tye Dillenger def. Baron Corbin and Sawyer Fulton Adrian Neville def. Brodus Clay via Countout
Notes: I really like the Ascension's current theme music because it's metal and intense which these guys have been amping up recently; intensity. The nothing squash matches have gotten old, thankfully some new blood has been injected into the tag team division. We see a short but impressive tag match between some new faces.
Jordan and Dillinger come out to matching tights and smiling babyface appeal. First thing I thought when seeing them was the old Kevin Sullivan Varsity Club gimmick. Jordan's dropkicks were nice and they "lifted" the old Snapshot finisher MNM used back in the day. Corbin and Sawyer are really intriguing however. Fulton straight up looks like a Fatal Fury fighting game character or Russian Mob thug. Apparently he likes the smell of new mat canvases and putting thumbtacks in his boot to stay alert. I hope they keep the weird facts about him going ala Matt Hardy and Mike Knox.
Charlotte and Sasha have a backstage promo in which Charlotte acknowledges Sasha being a big jobber. She's totally right actually. Sasha pouts and looks smoking hot. The new Face of the DIva's Division Paige (with both titles) cuts a lengthy promo that comes off kinda heelish, but she is prepared for the competition cause she studies all of them constantly. Emma faces Charlotte and Sasha next week but she doesn't have a partner, or does she? Please anything but Santina.
Speaking of Diva's and faces of the company, Tyler breeze does a short and sweet promo in which he felt NXT needed a shot of gorgeous so he decided to appear on screen. That's very nice of him.
Main Event was the fragile speedster versus the slow powerhouse. I actually really like matches like this because the smaller guy bumps like a maniac which makes the bigger guy look better. Brodus tries to drop a funky frog splash on Neville outside but is a step too slow and misses, Neville makes the count at the last possible second to win. This feud is sure to continue.
Oh yeah Khali squashes CJ Parker. I never thought I'd be more into Khali than the other person he is in the ring with. Crowd danced and chanted "Global Warming" at the Sour Flower Child, it was hype. Not Mojo hype but it was close.
What got you guys hype this week?
(edited by CruelAngel777 on 18.4.14 2218) I believe in The Shield....
I'd like to see CJ Parker in a manager role. He's really good on the mic, but his ringwork is Dull City, USA. The real highlight of this episode was definitely the tag match, where both teams came off looking pretty good. I love the fact that actual tag-team maneuvers are making their way back into these matches, both here and on the main roster.
