One other thing that struck me on this Raw, there was not one direct plug to go buy the Network. They mentioned what was coming over the few days, but not even a "you can still see WrestleMania for only $10". Maybe they limited the "PPV" highlights to still pictures out of habit.

Moving forward, I think if they play their cards right, it might be fun for a month or two of Evolution reunion where this time around all three members think they are clearly the top guy. Then after awhile you bring Flair in, and watch him go nuts trying to keep the peace.

That you think this is true is great. Please tell my wife that just pulling it out in 23 minutes is short and brutal.

People are pissed about the Streak. Yet, I got a feeling when Mania comes around next year, you will be surprised how little interest there is outside our little world.

Jon Stewart notwithstanding, I think the streak means far more to devoted WWE fans than casual fans. Undertaker's streak matches were for the wrestling audience while Rock drew the house. Wrestlemania won't be the same without it, but, uh, he can't wrestle any more and he wanted to lose. What's the alternative? Second Undertaker? Stem cells? Ringing the bell while he has Lesnar in the gogoplata and making him win?

I'm only going to do this once, because you do not deserve it, and then leave our friendship behind forever.

...unless WWE decides to cut off its nose to spite its face, and just has Cena completely bowl him over and treat him like a joke.

They will. And yeah, one of them is going to be a heel in Philly, guess which one. You are right, the wrong one.

Sell one of these for one sentence, or I will ban you for the duration of Daniel Bryan's title reign -- which, if it's going to end in a week because WWE hates da fans, might be a calculated risk worth taking. I mean, I won't really, but. A MAWNSTER A MAWNSTER I TURN INTO A MAWNSTER

What friendship? You're just a poster who cherry picks quotes, that is your gimmick. I was wrong about Bryan not Cena wining which said you got none of my picks right, so that was lie. I have been wrong before and I will be wrong again. If people are happy about that, go ahead be happy. To me, Bryan winning should be rejoiced. I am just leery of anything involved with HHH involved. We thought Benoit was going to be a MAWNSTER. Turns out two months later, they cared more about Eugene and Orton then magically HHH had the belt again. I hope it doesn't turn out that way. I hope he gets better than Batista who was shoved to Smackdown while Cena was being built to face HHH at Mania. Cena faired well, so maybe Bryan will be like Cena.

I just think people in this little world, underestimate Undertaker. People spent 20 years invested in the Undertaker. The company has spent a decade invested in the Streak. Now, it is no longer a selling point. What if anything can take its place. I have no idea, I doubt if even Vince knows.

As for ESPN, Around the Horn, Woody did his last 30 seconds on the Streak and Tony's response was "What about Bryan?" which is almost every conversation I have had with people about Mania.

Sigh, do we have to fight?

Anyways, I was watching Emma and Paige wrassle for the Women's Title in NXT ... I really wish the Divas style would change more to reflect what they're doing in NXT. This is actual WRESTLING, not talentless eye candy struggling to pull off the simplest of moves. I mean, a Perfect Plex, a Superplex, crazy match psychology and plenty of time to work a ***** match. If they brought Paige and Emma up so AJ could have some REAL workers to play with and not just brainless model types, then kudos to a new direction for the Divas. Honestly, I think it's 10 times hotter to see these girls kicking the tar out of each other instead of the current weak 'style' the WWE promotes.

Video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAp-_FTJzu0 I'm sure you Network users can probably find it on there as well.

So, let me explain to you how stupid I am. I booked a four-night trip for me and my wife to NOLA, centering around Mania. My dictate from my wife was that she would attend one Mania with me live. She didn't say anything about RAW *wink*. However, I made the really tough decision to skip RAW, even though it's the best free TV show of the year. As I am wont to do, for any trip I take, I like to plan a lot of things, and I usually overplan. For Monday night, I bought two reserved (and non-refundable) seats for one of the jazz shows at Preservation Hall. Outside of that, the rest of our time in NOLA was booked solid.

Then, Mania happened. All Monday afternoon, I regretted my planning. I mean, shit, the Undertaker lost. He surely was going to be on RAW, and something stupid crazy was going to happen, like Sting showing up. My wife, who loved Mania but won't admit it, was like, oh ok, fine, we can go to RAW *wink*. So, one hour before airtime, we bought tickets to RAW and Preservation Hall became a sunk cost.

In all honesty, while RAW was awesome, it would've been just fine if we only watched it on TV. Classic case of me over-thinking things.

Anyhow, onto the show, my absolute favorite piece of crowd interaction is singing along to theme music. The crowd singing "John Cena sucks" to the tune of Cena's music may be the best thing ever.

You didn't catch this on TV, but, Bray Wyatt was *really* playing into all of the crowd's pro-Wyatt love from the apron.

When Batista and Orton were beating up Bryan at the end, the crowd was NOT silent. There was an angry buzz building in the crowd because of what the expected result was. By the way, the fact that this company was able to troll its fanbase this much in 2014 is a testament to either a) how good the company's booking is or b) how easily today's fans are trolled, despite being hardened smart marks.

There really is no easy way for a crowd to beckon The Shield. "Hounds of Justice" just sounds weird. I believe that's why the 3MB chant started - it was just easier.

During the commercial break after Swagger destroyed Cesaro's trophy, a stagehand was furiously sweeping all of the trophy debris out of the ring to chants of "Sweep! sweep! sweep!" After he was done, he was met with chants of "Thank you sweeper!" Awesome.

Yeah, that was so awesome. He even raised his hand to acknowledge the crowd. Man, was Wade Barrett super over.... probably from all the fans from the UK. Even Mason Ryan was getting a lot of crowd reaction during the NXT matches at Axxess. I wish I could witness Wade's cherry picker lift in person, though.

It's so weird to see the wrestlers dash up the ramp between commercial breaks.

That is freaking awesome. Good for that guy, I bet he loved his job that night. The crowd was so crazy on Monday! It must have been awesome to be there.

Though it is a little sad that the guy who swept up the remains of the ARMBAR trophy got a bigger pop than Rey Rey :P

That is so great.

I'm starting to think they should profile some of the people that make up the Post-WM Raw crowd. Are they the same guys every year? How do they always get good seats? Do they pre-plan/practice some chants?

The crowd truly becomes part of the show and it's fun.

Sorry, I realized that I explained my point poorly. HOUNDS-OF-JUST-ICE has the right number of syllables, so it does work as a chant. I just think it's a weird thing to chant. It'd be like chanting BEAST-IN-CARN-ATE for Brock Lesnar. It's a corporate nickname used mostly by announcers.

I'm also trying to rationalize why the crowd started chanting 3-M-B. :-)

I gotcha. You're right, there is no natural phrase or chant to attach to the Shield. "Believe in the Shield" is too long. Maybe "WE-BE-LIEVE!"? Nah.

Man I'm loving Face Shield. Anyone catch The Shield v. Wyatt match on Main Event yet? Not only do they go full face in a triple double promo, but Dean sells pain during his part of the promo like he's coughing up a lung. I like that their face turn consists of them just being the usual badass selves just adding bits of goofiness to make them seem more relate able.

As far as chants go I'm sure the fans will just chant "Shield! Shield!" while they will have to be cued during promos to say "Believe in The Shield". I knew I wasn't the only one that noticed three syllable chants are the most popular chants by live crowds.

I believe in The Shield....

Dwaters, you really don't want to have those people profiled (I Know, I was one of them for 10+ years)

A lot of them do go in groups and over years at least recognize one another so it's easier to start chants.
Also, a lot of them buy their WM tickets through the WWE package deals. Which for the past few years have included WM and Raw--so yes you get the guaranteed good seats.

I thought this crowd was much better than last year btw when they were too self-aware. Having fun and enhancing the show with your chants is one thing, making yourself important is sucky.

And chanting Hounds of Justice sounds better than the only other option I can think of. Let's Go Shield.

WE BE-LIEVE!

They need to re-re-resurrect the tag division and add some more three man groups to play foil to the Shield. In a perfect world, we could have at least one Shield VS Punk/Hero/Cabana match, but in this world we can still get Shield VS the Rhodes Brothers and Generico.

Don't care who Bryan faces as long as he holds the belt for 5-6 months and rescues one of the nothing "specials" with an Iron Man Match. And even if he drops it next week he's made forever and nothing within the realm of reasonable posssibility can kill my feelings about the culmination of Bryan vs The Word. (We've liked him for a thousand years, a thousand years)

This is the opposite of the feeling I had after the fall of Nexus at Summerslam.
