I didn't see a new release post on Joystiq this week, but I know MLB the Show 2014 came out for PS Vita/PS3. They're a little behind schedule; the first roster update won't hit until next week. The PS4 version won't be out until next month, but Gamestop is sort of giving it away for free. If you buy the PS3 game now (and you are a rewards member), you can later trade it and get the PS4 game for $20 + they'll give you $20 in game credit for pre-ordering the PS4 game.
This week's PSN Update is up, so you can download your free Batman and Mercenary Kings. All the WWE 2K DLC has been put on sale.
I am a sucker for Kart games, and may pick this up for $10.
Jimmie Johnson’s Anything With An Engine ($9.99)
Jimmie Johnson Kart Racing Where Everything and Anything Goes…Fast! Lead-footed bathers, dumpster drivers, lawn-mowers, bargain shoppers, sadistic caddies and many more race and battle their way toward glory in unique vehicles outfitted with custom weapon mods on fantastical stylized tracks strewn with themed hazards, traps and awesome jumps in a humor-packed race to the finish line.
Last of Us "Remastered" for PS4 is official, release date "Summer 2014". It appears to be the usual Greatest Hits re-release, but probably closer to full price since it's jumping systems.
this week's PSN Store update includes a preorder for "Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion Xl", which just sounds like it must be good. Final Fantasy XVI is free to download for PS4, but requires a monthly subscription. Lego: The Hobbit is out for all three systems, but at different prices ($60 for PS4, $50 for PS3, $30 for Vita).
I only realized after downloading it that the PS+ free PS3 Arkham game was actually not the recently released game, but the one I had already beat. That was disappointing.
PS+ add: Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (PS3) - a remake of the Genesis game (which you'll get free if you buy it by 04/28.) Street Fighter X Tekken for PS Vita is out after next Tuesday.
PSN Update includes Final Fantasy XIV, chess, backgammon, and trivia games for PS4. PS3 includes a digital version of Beyond Two Souls, EA World Cup 2014, and a TMNT game.
Cubs, do you have to use a PS3 to get the Vita games, or does the PS4 just know I don't own one yet? I only get the 4 meager games to DL on + on the PS4 but I always see more on the PS3 and can "buy" the Vita games in anticipation of getting a Vita one day.
PS4 won't work because (at this point) you can't transfer games to the Vita from it, so you would need a PS3.
If you're just trying to 'reserve' PS+ games for later, maybe there's a workaround by using the online store? You could 'buy' the free Vita games online, and they should still show up in your purchase history for download whenever you get the Vita - if it works the way I think it works.
In honor of Golden Week in Japan, a bunch of Japanese games are on sale. $3.50 for Chrono Trigger is very tempting, even if I have no idea when I'd play it.
Those are some fantastic deals, but I wouldn't bother with that port of Chrono Trigger, it's incredibly prone to slowdown, especially when loading attack animations and battle transitions.
Does Chrono Cross have the same issue? I haven't played that one.
Retail Games of The Week - The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle - Rambo The Video Game
DRIVECLUB update: there's a post teasing a new release date. The post doesn't actually say it, you have to watch the YouTube video, but the post does say "We planned for the game to be ready for early 2014" and so I thought maybe they worked everything out to get it June, July-ish. Nope, October 7th, nearly a year late. I laughed when I saw that come up on the screen, which is probably not the idea. This game was pulled only a week before the launch, I can't imagine what it must've looked like if they needed all this extra time (and new people in charge), but I kind of want to know.
On the other hand, maybe if they had worked an extra year on Knack, I might have liked it.
I also enjoyed how the video boasted genuine PS4 footage but used plenty of far overhead shots of the scenery and cameras located in front of the car as they drive at you, shots you would never ever play with in a driving game. All driving games seem to do this, but it's never not strange to me.

Considering that Chrono Cross was disc based, I doubt there will be an issue. Most of the Square cartridge to disc based ports had massive load and screen transition issues and I believe that the downloadable versions are copies of those ports.
The issue with the Chrono Trigger port is that it's basically a rom running in a SNES emulator, so it's not optimized at all well. I think it's further compounded with the wacky way that S-E implemented the translation for the American release.
I'd say that the best (legitimate) version of Chrono Trigger you can buy would be to hunt down a copy of the NDS remake, although the new localization is fairly soulless.
Chrono Cross wouldn't have those issues, since it was programmed for the PS1 hardware.
PS4 v1.70 includes tese and many other things - adds ShareFactory app for editing/uploading videos. There's lots of associated upgraded/fixes for Share, including the ability to just save the video on USB - preorders games will now be downloaded in a few days before release, then unlocked on release. They'll also give you a countdown so you know exactly when it's released. - the controller light has three level of brightness, and the touchpad can now be used for keyboard selection - PS4 store will now support alternate payments, starting with Paypal - more voice commands for PS4 controller.
PS Vita goes to v3.15, with improved Remote Play setup
The PS App v1.70 will add notifications for Game Invites & Friend Requests.
Velocity Ultra for PS Vita is the PS+ game of the week. Mercenary Kings and Batman will be removed next week.
The PSN Store update includes preorders for EA UFC, Watch Dogs (including Season Pass version), Wolfenstein: The New Order for PS4. Child of Light, Daylight, Amazing Spider-Man 2 are out now for PS4, and some of those are out for PS3 too.
Another thing I noticed after the update is that now you don't have to log back in after you turn your controller off while watching something. I turn off the controller every time I watch wwe network to save battery, and it used to make me choose which user is using the controller when I turned it back on. Not no more.
When I looked at the link, the name Shaolin Wrecking Crew actually did catch my eye first. That's such a cool name that I'm almost upset that I didn't go to Union City to see such a cool sounding tag team. Almost.
