According to Lanny, Randy's anger over the "Nacho Man" skits led to him making those insinuations about Stephanie that everyone alludes to when the bad blood between Savage and McMahon is brought up.
EDIT: To clarify for those I misled, Lanny says that Randy wanted the whole Poffo family to go in or he wouldn't accept an invite and asked Lanny to keep to that even after Randy's death. My paragraph was simply explaining Randy's reasoning behind the Steph stuff. Sheesh.

It is, but the way Rev Shaft paraphrased up there, he made it sound like it's the Steph Stuff keeping him out.
WWE should just put him in, make a big to-do about it, give Lanny one more chance to be in attendance when it happens, then move forward with it when he says 'no' again. He'll only make himself look petty if he starts complaining about HOW it happened after the fact.

Lanny said the exact same thing in the last paragraph. He agreed that the fans deserved to have Randy in the hall of fame, regardless of what either side thought. He said that if they wanted to put Randy in, he wouldn't try to prevent it, he simply wouldn't attend.
So if they're still not inducting Randy Savage into the hall of fame, it isn't because of the demand that the entire family go in. There are several people who would be fitting to induct Randy Savage into the hall of fame. They certainly don't need Lanny to do it, regardless of how nice of a gesture it would be. But Vince is probably holding out for Lanny because he wants the additional PR. Why else would he have refused to induct Bruno until Bruno agreed to play nice? Bruno should have been in back before the induction ceremony was even televised.
Am I the only one who saw the final sentence of the article?
“Unless they call my mother and offer their condolences, I will not be there.”
Well, duh -- if the WWE decides to induct Savage, I'm betting they'll be smart and savvy enough to have Vince call Randy's mom and have a short conversation with her expressing his regret and how things went down and offering his condolences on the deaths of Angelo and Randy. It's not like Lanny is demanding an apology or a retraction or anything -- just for Vince to say "I'm so sorry for your loss." That'll happen.
