This was a really good episode! I really like the way that Abed and Hickey are at entire opposite sides of the realism spectrum, if losing Troy means we get more interactions like this between Abed and the other characters I'm down with it. And how nice was it to see Duncan get some character development? I've been very happy with this season so far.
I agree. Nice character work all around, and that's when this show is at its best. I like where they've taken Chang this season. He's been dialed down just enough so that it's believable (in the context of the show) that people are alright with him hanging around. And you can't go wrong with the bit from The Shining. "Old Timey Photo Club, 2014" is, I think, the best that reference has ever been used.

Apparently it was a group photo of the current writing staff. :)
The joy of this TV season for me has been Community's complete and total resurrection into its vintage self. It's an episode like this that really makes Community so special --- not only wouldn't the average creative staff (i.e. the fourth season team) do an episode like this, they'd never even think of it or see why it'd be necessary in the larger story of these characters' lives.
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball

You missed the part where Clark flies to save Chloe. Holy Shit, its no flights, no tights dead. They really need to reorganize this show to be more DC centric.
